This antique Yearbook of the Department of Agriculture for 1906 is a treasure trove of information on crops and farming in the United States circa 1906. Each vintage White Colgate's Florentine Cosmetique mustache hair wax stick is individually wrapped in heavy blue & yellow waxed paper and are marked "Colgage - Palmolive - Peet Co., Jersey City, N.J., Made in U.S.A."

Lot includes eight (8) sticks. Seven sticks are unopened. One stick is open and has been slightly used. The vintage mustache wax comes in its original brown cardboard box. The box is in good vintage condition showing obvious signs of wear including nicks, scrapes, and soiling.

Moustache wax sticks are 3 7/8" long and contain 11/12 oz.

The hefty vintage textile industry directory covers all aspects of the trade from cotton, woolen, & silk manufacturers, dyers, merchants, linters, and textile mill supplies. The vintage reference book has a wealth of advertising pages, many of which have illustrations of machinery, mills, and factories.

Alleluia!

Rainbow-colored enamel alleluia pendant made by Terra Sancta Guild Israel harkens back to the age of aquarius and folk rock masses. A fabulous piece of religious jewelry, the piece is heavy and of very high quality.

This piece of Christian jewelry would make a lovely gift for a Sunday school teacher.

The pendant necklace is on a silky navy blue cord that ties around the neck. Dating from the late 1960s - early 1970s, the pendant is in excellent vintage condition. I don't think it was ever worn. Pendant is hallmarked on the back "Terra Sancta Guild Israel Phila" along with a copyright symbol.

Pendant comes in a gift box ready for giving.

Antique copy of Ralph Waldo Emerson poems would make a lovely gift for the poetry lover, an English teacher, or anyone interested in American Transcendentalism.

Published in 1883, this Riverside Press edition of selected Emerson poems is a small, antique treasure. The vintage book shows signs of wear from use and the passage of time. The brown cloth hardcover is fraying at the top of the spine and shows obvious wear at the corners and along the spine. The pages are toned with age but the paper is supple. The attractive old poetry book has a decorative cover and gold gilt title lettering on the cover and spine as well as decorative red page edges. There is a gift inscription on the front endpaper dated July 18th 1883, and a previous owner signature and date, Oct. 11 1895, at the front.

This 8-inch Weber Costello New Peerless Terrestrial world globe is a beautiful decorative item with its bronze full ring meridian, full mount wooden table stand with horizon ring, and colorful paper map gores. But this vintage world globe is also a very rare find showing a number of interesting political designations which date the globe to circa 1924.

The world globe has a rare dual siting of Leningrad (Petrograd). Soviet Socialists Republics is indicated on the globe along with Russia, Union Russian, and Transcaucasia. Tangiers is marked neutral, a result of a 1923 treaty resolving a disagreement among France, Spain, and Britain over control of the area. Southern Rhodesia (established 1923) and Northern Rhodesia (established 1924) are present. There are designations in the area of South Africa which are representative of the turmoil in the region in the early half of the 20th century. The globe shows British Bechuana, Bechuanaland (Br.Prot.), Transvaal, South West Africa (Un. of S. Afr.), Union of South Africa, Swaziland, Nyasaland (Br. Prot.), and Orange Free State.

Other interesting political designations include Estonia, Latvia, & Lithuania prior to Soviet Occupation, Chose (Korea) and Taiwan as part of the Japanese Empire, Persia, Palestine, British Somaliland, French Somaliland, & Italian Somaliland, Fed. Malay States (Br.), Dutch East Indies, and British North Borneo. British territories, colonies, and commonwealth all shown in pink.

The vintage globe is in good condition for its age showing some dust soiling, a ding and a light pencil scribble in the North Atlantic Ocean, and creasing from Germany down into French West Africa. The Equatorial band tape is in good condition. The globe rests in a wood stand with cuts notches to fit the bronze full meridian. The stand has turned wood legs and stretchers. The stand shows typical wear with some scratches, dings, and wear to the wood.

The vintage globe has a circular cartouche branding it as a Terrestrial Globe Weber Costello Co. Manufacturers Chicago Heights, Ill. It is also marked "New Peerless 8 Inch Globe" and "W.C. Time Tested School Supplies," along with a legend, and analemma diagram showing the variation in the positioning of the sun throughout the calendar year.

It's rare to find a black ocean Replogle Starlight globe in the smaller 10 inch size. This vintage world globe shows the world as it was circa 1956 and has several very interesting political designations.

Somalia is designated an Italian Trust Territory. Vietnam, although separated into north (purple) & south (green) by color is tagged Indochina.

The Belgian Congo (1908 - 1960), French West Africa (1895 - 1960) & French Equatorial Africa (1910 - 1959) still exist. Northern Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia have separate designations, & Bechuanaland (1885 - 1966) is present. Malaya is under British rule (independent 1957).

This is a genuine vintage globe that is over 60 years old. The world globe is in remarkable condition for its age. The surface shows some light soiling and patina. The globe is rough around the equator as most of its equatorial band is present and in good condition.

The globe is made of coated paper gores over pressboard and has a black wire base with red "feet" to protect your table surface.

The globe has a full chrome metal meridian and a night/day dial at the top. The 10" globe spins freely and swivels in an articulated frame for easy viewing. The chrome shows signs of wear and pitting.

From a vintage Daisy Mfg Co's Rocket Target dart and pistol set, this amazing space race era metal game target has awesome rocket ship graphics. Manufactured in Plymouth, Michigan, the metal target illustrates several actual rockets of the era including the WAC Corporal V-2 rocket - the first research rocket developed in the United States, German A-9 Glider Rocket & V-1 Rocket, and Strato Jet.

This is a terrific space age vintage game piece for the collector and would make an amazing wall decor accent in a game room, man cave, or space themed room.

This very early piece of Higgins glass is a wonderful example of their fused and molded glass technique. The small ashtray or dish has a classic mid-century design, shape & color combination -- black, brown, sea foam green & gold color combination.

Initially created as an ashtray, you can use this small Higgins piece as intended (which I would not recommend -- bad for you and the art object), as a dish, or as part of an art glass display.

Founded in 1948, Frances & Michael Higgins began producing their now famous art glass in their Chicago apartment with kilns set up behind their sofa. Using the ancient art of glass fusing, the Higgins created the quintessential art glass of the Mid-Century Modern era.

This piece has an etched "Higgins" signature and dates to 1948 to the early 1950s. The dish is in very good vintage condition.

Antique photograph carte de visite captured a little Berlin girl in her first holy communion finery. Rare to find three identical carte de visite, this beautiful antique photography trio has a lovely sepia tone, and would look amazing framed together. The charming child is holding typical photography studio props of the time period including a long white candle and pray book.


These carte de visite are part of a collection of photographs from one Berlin family. The collection is an interesting visual glimpse into the life of a wealthy German family in the late 1800s into the early part of the 20th century.

Carte de visite were invented in Paris by André Adolphe Eugène Disdéri in 1854. He also developed a method of producing eight separate negatives on one plate making it easier to produce multiple cards of an identical image. In the mid to late 1800s, carte de visite became all the rage and were traded among friends and relatives.

The CDVs are in remarkable condition for their age showing light edge wear and a few small dings. Each card has the gold gilt stamp of Samsond & Co Berlin.

Cards measure approximate 4 3/4" x 2".

The vintage astronomy book instructs on the use of telescopes, photographing the night sky, and tracking man-made satellites. The vintage outer space science book includes chart of telescope accessories, tables of constellations, time conversion, brightest stars, important meteor showers, modern novae, periodic comets, solar eclipses, planet locations, planetary data, statistics of planetary satellites, star names and more, as well as star maps of the stellar year and a glossary of astronomical terms.

This is a genuine vintage book published in 1966 not a recent reprint. As such, the book shows age appropriate wear particularly on the dust jacket with is torn and a bit tattered around the edges. Pages are clean. Front book hinge is beginning to crack. Binding is tight.
