This set of Gay Fad Christmas angel glassware is a very rare vintage find. In its original Gay Fad Lancaster Ohio shipping box, with a Montgomery Ward shipping label, and U.S. postal stamps canceled in Baltimore, M.D. in 1953, the vintage Gay Fad glasses are in pristine, unused condition.

The set of eight frosted glass tumblers have fabulous hand-decorated Christmas angels with festive Xmas holiday designs including bells, stars, a candle, tree ornament, and a candy cane. Each glass has a Federal Glass "F" in a shield mark on the bottom.

The original cardboard mailing box is marked "gay fad lancaster ohio" along with the code "86/7467," "12 oz Xmas Angels," and "Hand Decorated Gay Fad Ceramic Hand Decorated Ware." The box shows typical signs of age and wear from the passage of time and storage. One top box flap is torn and one flap has small tears, dings, and scratches.

Radical feminist pamphlet from the 1960s succinctly outlines the issues, problems, and various layers of the women's liberation movement recognizing that the women's rights movement needs to address sexism as well as economic oppression.

The vintage feminist publication has the complete text of James Oppenheim's Bread and Roses, a song poem inspired by the political slogan coined by Rose Schneiderman the American socialist, feminist, and labor leader.

The pamphlet has a cartoon drawing of Popeye questioning Olive Oyl's upraised fist on the cover.

This is a genuine vintage political pamphlet from 1969 not a recent reprint. The cover shows wear with a one-inch tear at the bottom of the paper cover. Pages are clean. Stapled binding is in good condition.

This colorful lot of antique embroidery thread would lend a beautiful and unique vintage touch to your office, workshop, or home decor. Display the vintage embroidery thread samples in a candy dish or vintage glass jar.

The antique thread and cardboard thread winders also have a historical significance as they are amazingly well preserved artifacts of the New York Society of Decorative Art founded in 1877 by Candace Wheeler. Considered the mother of American interior design and a prominent textile designer, Wheeler was an authority on American design and home decoration and was influential in the Aesthetic and Arts and Crafts Movements. She helped launch the New York Exchange for Women's Work supporting the manufacture and sale of products produced in the home including household linens, handicrafts, and baked goods.

This antique thread dates from the late 1800s. The thread is in good condition but is being sold for display and its historical interest as its tensile strength has not been tested. The antique cardboard thread winders are in good condition showing slight tanning from age. Each winder is stamped "N.Y. Society of Decorative Art." Several of the winders are numbered and have notations in pencil.

Lot includes nine small thread winders wound with small amounts of thread.

Each thread winder measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".

Super rare vintage world globe pencil sharpener made in Germany circa 1910 has an unusual novelty base with a hooded robed woman holding up the earth and a man kneeling at her feet.

Made out of metal, the miniature globe has a lithographed world map with simplified country boundaries and designations.

This is a very old, antique globe pencil sharpener that shows a deep patina of age and signs of use and wear. The surface of the world globe is well worn. The world globe can be turned, although I'm not sure if this was originally so. The vintage pencil sharpener is being sold as a display piece not as working sharpener. The pencil sharpening device is loose and I have not tested it to see if it works for fear it would break off inside the globe.

Despite these flaws, this is a rare and collectible world globe that would make a unique gift or addition to any globe collection.

Beautiful example of California pottery made by Wade of California in the 1960s. The fabulous modern spiral shape is predominantly avocado green with swirls of mint green.

Originally intended as an ashtray, the dish can be used to serve tidbits or candies. Imagine it filled with orange goldfish crackers!

The bowl is in very good vintage condition. No cracks. No chips.

Wade Ceramics produced pottery in North Hollywood between 1965 and 1967. This piece is marked "Wade of Calif. U.S.A." along with the number "700."

Dish measures approximately 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" at its widest points and stands 1 1/2" high.

This charming antique Victorian trade card features a boy dressed as Uncle Sam whittling a stick. The vintage trade card advertises Shillington's Book Store, a prominent bookseller in Washington D.C. in the late 1800s.

Fabulous antique Wheeler & Wilson sewing machine box has sturdy dovetail joints and an elaborate carved wood top. The vintage wooden storage box is both decorative and practical. The wood box has an attached hinged lid and felt lining.

Businessman Nathaniel Wheeler and Allen B. Wilson the American inventor and sewing machine innovator who received the first sewing machine patent in 1850, operated their successful manufacturing company first in Watertown, and then Bridgeport, Connecticut. Singer bought the company in 1905.

The antique wooden box is in good condition for its age. The box is clean and the joints are sturdy. It appears that there may have been a top latch piece that is missing.

Elsevier's Dictionary of Automatic Control in Four Languages covers technology and engineering terms in English, French, German, and Russian. Published in 1963, the front section of the vintage technical dictionary has scientific words & terms arranged in four columns. There are four thumb-indexed sections at the back, one for each language represented in the reference book.

This is an ex-library book deaccessioned from Fairleigh Dickinson University library. The vintage reference book has the university library's embossed stamp on the title page, the library's ink stamp on the page edges, as well as a reference label on the spine along with library classification number on the spine and on the front cover (not the Dewey system).

The book is in good condition with a tight binding and clean pages excluding the library marking stated above. There is a brief bio of the compiler pasted down on the front endpaper, and residue from a library due date sheet on the back endpaper. The vintage dictionary has an attached red ribbon book mark.

Vintage beauty salon display poster shows a pretty blond with a very 1960s modern hairdo. Dressed in a green print dress, the model appears to be holding shafts of wheat.


Meant to be displayed in a hair salon window, the double-sided poster is printed on sturdy plastic coated paper.

The poster has been stored rolled up for many years. It shows signs of use and wear. One side (second photo) is slightly faded. There are a few tears and chips as well as some scotch tape residue. Muirhead's Short Guide to London provides an interesting glimpse of the city circa 1947. The vintage travel guide includes practical information, maps, and diagrams of many popular tourist sites including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul's Cathedral.

The vintage London travel includes a beautiful fold-out map of the city byJohn Bartholomew & son., Ltd, Edinburgh. The detail vintage map of London indicates "Good Motoring Roads" and "Serviceable Motoring Roads" as will as railways. The map is suitable for framing. The vintage travel book also includes a pull-out map of the London subway system and well as a map of London underground railways on the back endpaper.

This is a genuine vintage travel guide book from the 1940s not a resent reprint. The book shows age appropriate wear from the passage of time and use. There are some pencil marking in the book and a journal entry at the back in the notes section for June 9th "Kay's Birthday" and June 10th noting the horse guards parade, entry of Queen, a notation of "Advertisements eveywhere for employees," and assorted other travel-related notes.

The vintage travel book is missing its dust jacket. The blue cloth-bound cover is sun faded and shows the shadow of the dust jacket's titling. The book's original ribbon bookmark is still attached but broken & frayed at the end. Some pages are dog eared at the bottom.
