Salvaged from an old hardware store storage display cabinet, this awesome set of six vintage dovetail wood drawers can be used in so many practical ways. Turn the drawers on their sides and use them as shelves in your craft room or office to organize your supplies. Display the drawers facing forward and show off the cool metal hardware pulls and old advertising labels.

The drawers are old, dating at least from the 1910s - 1920s. They were used in a hardware store and show typical wear for furniture used to store and display merchandise. The drawers have dings, scrapes, chips, small holes from removed nails or staples, uneven patina, tape residue, and lots and lots of character.

Each drawer measures approximately 10 1/4" deep x 6" wide x 7" tall.

Three (3) volumes from the prestigeous Bibliothèque de la Pléiade series of books, this decorative set of books includes the complete works of Pascal, Corneille, La Rochefoucauld. Mais qui, les livres sont en Français. This is a terrific starter collection for your library.

Created in the 1931 by Jacques Schiffrins, who later went on to found Pantheon Books, Bibliothèque de la Pléiade volumes are high-quality books with a slightly larger than pocket-size format. Each book in the set is bound in leather, has gold gilt lettering and spine decorations, a clear plastic dust jacket and is printed on Bible paper -- a thin grade of wood-free uncoated paper often used for Bibles containing cotton or linen fibers which increases the paper's durability without adding bulk. The books were published by Gallimard and printed in France.

The red leather bindings are in very good condition. Each volume has two attached red ribbon book marks. Some minor soiling on pages edges, most notably on the top page edges of the Pascal volume. The top edge pages of Corneille & La Rochefoucauld are tinted gray. The Pascal volume is illustrated. The clear plastic dust covers show shelf wear around the edges, most noticeably at the top of the spines. There is a small tear on the plastic dust cover at the top front of the La Rochefoucauld volume. There is some rubbing at bottom edges of the book. Over all, this collection is very good condition.

Wonder Books with washable covers were mainstay reading for the baby boomer generation. They were found in schools, doctor and dentist offices, libraries, and local bookshops. This marvelous vintage store display sign advertises Wonder Books at their 1950s price -- a mere 25 cents per title.

This genuine vintage sign is perfect for any decor, hang it in the nursery, child's room, office, man cave, or library.

Constructed out of rigid pressboard, the sign is in good vintage condition. It has some nicks, mostly around the edges, and soiling from hanging in a book shop, and then being in storage for many years.

I don't know if this vintage radio part is in working order, but it sure looks cool on display and would be an interesting addition to an up-cycled art project or Steampunk creation. My understanding is that this is a ham radio plug in tank coil inductor, also known as a transmitter coil.

I thought is was pretty neat looking when I picked it up at the estate sale of an avid ham radio operator. An interesting piece, the radio part would be right at home in any industrial decor scenario.

The part is made from metal and ceramic and what looks to be like some type of hard resin. One of these resin-like strips, there are three of them, that runs down the cylinder is broken (see photograph four).

The part is approximately 5 1/8" long x 5" wide. The cylinder section is approximately 3 1/4" in diameter.

The ceramic bar above the plug section is marked "C-390-A 5.7-8.0 mc 51C541" on one side and "G 29163" on the other side.

Rare circa 1938 Cram's 9 Inch Terrestrial globe on a bronzed metal base with full meridian captures the world's political boundaries as they were on the brink of change.

This pre-war globe shows British Somaliland, Italian Somaliland, Palestine, & Chosen (Korea under Japan rule). The globe has a nine (9) inch diameter (approximately 28.26 inches circumference), an analemma showing the sun's declination for every day in the year, sea route lines with distance, ocean currents, short wave radio stations indicators, and a time dial at the North Pole.

This cool old globe has lots of character and was well used in its time. The Art Deco metal base and the numbered meridian are in good condition showing typical wear. There is some paint loss, dings, and a little rust. The globe is stable on its base. The globe, constructed of painted gores over pasteboard, shows wear. There are scrapes, the most notable one about 2 inches long in the area of Melanesia and the Coral Sea, paper loss, discoloration, and some soiling.

Globe is approximately 13 1/2" tall including the base and meridian.

Vintage 1940s American Airline brochures harken back to the early days of commercial air travel. This awesome group of aviation advertising brochures comes in a nifty folder marked "The American Airlines System" &"Business," "Airfreight," &"Pleasure." The folder holds 7 brochures promoting American Airlines the new DC-6 & the Convair. American refers to them as their "5- Mile-A-Minute Flagship Fleet."

In the late 1940s American Airlines had three branches, American Airlines Inc., American Overseas Airlines, Inc., & American Airlines De Mexico, S.A. In 1950, Pan American Airways bought the American Overseas Airlines division.

These colorful brochures were printed and lithographed in the U.S.A.

7 Brochures include:

1. Take Your Family with You For Only Half Fare -- This small format brochure measures 6" x 3" folded and 8 3/4" x 6" fully open.

2. American Airlines 5-Mile-A-Minute Flagship Fleet -- Measuring 9" x 4" closed, this brochure opens to a small poster size measuring 15 3/4" x 17 1/2". The brochure highlights American Airline's new flagship aircraft, the DC-6 & the Convair. It has a map of the current airline routes including American Airlines, "other airline," &"American Airline system - International routes not yet in operation." The map is dated 1948 and was drawn by the General Drafting Company. The brochure brags that the DC-6 will get you from New York to Los Angeles in 11 hrs 10 minutes in "Living Room Comfort."

3. Why Be An Ostrich About Wintertime Air Travel? 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. Brochure assures the potential winter air traveler that "American's Five-Mile-A-Minute Fleet is equipped with special devices, engineered specifically to meet seasonal conditions."

4. It's So Easy to go to Mexico - With a strapping matador on the cover this brochure measures 9" x 4" closed and 9" x 19 3/4" open. It includes an air traffic route map for the U.S.A. & Mexico.

5. Europe in Winter in Comfort by American Flagship - 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. Include American Airlines system map for USA and European routes. Boasts that it will get your to London from New York in 13 hours & 55 minutes.

6. The Sun Country - 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 19 3/4" open. Cover entices the traveler to "Give winter the go-by - find your place in the sun - go American to Arizona Texas California New Mexico." Has map showing the "Southern Sunshine Route."

7. American Airlines Maps - Routes of the Flagships. 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. One side of this brochure opens to a full page color lithographed American Airlines route map for the U.S.A. Mexico & Cuba with indicators to their international routes. The other side shows American Overseas Airlines, Inc. routes to Europe.

The envelope folder measures 9 3/4" x 5 3/4" closed & 9 3/4" x 14" open.

The folder and brochures are in very good condition for their age. They show wear around the edges.

Instant collection of seven (7) sewing thread spools in fabulous shades of teals and blues, put them on display or use the thread in projects. Three (3) threads are on wooden spools and four (4) are on heavy-duty card board spools, all have been used and have varying amounts of thread remaining. Please see the photographs. One wooden spool is marked "Star Mercerized 1200 yes" and another is marked "Dandy No. 00 1200 Yards."

It's hard to say exactly the age of each of these spools. The woman I got them from said she had had them for a long time. Some may be as old as 80 or as young as 40. Regardless, the colors are just wonderful and would make a beautiful display.

Handwoven in a beautiful multicolor pattern, this vintage Latvian sash will liven up any outfit. The bright colors give the belt a bit of a hippie feel, yet the woven sash is a lovely vintage ethnic textile.

This is a handwoven textile and you can see the personal touch in the weave and finishing. The sash is finished with a hand sewn binding on one end and a braid on the other. The braid is secured with a small piece of twisted metal wire. There is a small button hole on the hand sewn end but no corresponding button on the belt. You could add a button, customizing the belt to your own measurements, or tie it. The reverse side of the sash is as pretty as the right side of the belt.

The vintage sash is in good condition showing light signs of wear.


Measures 55 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide.

Trio of vintage glass Christmas ornaments made in Poland in the 1940s will bring a lovely sparkle to your tree. Made of hand blown glass, the teardrop ornaments are decorated with white mica flakes. One ornament has red stripes with silver, another has gold, blue, & dark pink stripes, and the third one has gold, dark pink, & sea foam green stripes.

Each ornaments has a metal cap for hanging. Two of the caps are marked "Poland."

The ornaments are in good vintage condition showing typical wear including scratches, oxidation marks, and light soiling.

Ornaments are approximately 4 1/4 inches long with a 2 1/2 inch diameter.

This antique wall sconce once held an oil lamp in a Victorian home. Salvaged from a tear down, the ornate cast iron swing arm lamp holder is a beautiful piece of metal work, and can be hung almost anywhere in your home for an antique touch.

The swing arm sconce can also be used as parts and repurposed into a new lamp or artwork.

In good antique condition, the cast iron retains much of its original bronze paint. The lamp sconce comes with a small wall bracket, but it looks as though the piece may at one time had a second bracket at the top.

First class Pan Am Airlines dishes made by Bauscher Weiden are simple, elegant, and collectible. The white wave pattern on this fine Bavarian china give it a very minimalist look.

This listing is for a three piece set -- dish/tray, bowl, and butter pat dish.

Pan American World Airways was the epitome of sophisticated world travel from it's inspection in 1937 to its bankruptcy in 1991. This set is from the 1980s.

The tray/dish measures 8 1/4" long x about 4 3/4" wide and is about 1 1/4" high. The bottom is imprinted "Pan Am 873 - 579142 TQT." The handles have the white wave pattern.

The bowl is edged with the white wave pattern and measures about 4 5/8" in diameter and is about 1 3/4" high. The bottom is marked "Designed for Pan Am Bauscher Weiden Bavaria Germany" in black. The bowl has a few very faint marks which may or may not come out with a good cleaning.

The butter pat dish does not have the wave pattern. It measures 3 1/8" in diameter x 5/8" high. It has the Bauscher Wieden logo on the bottom as well as "Bauscher Bavaria Germany Pan Am" in green.

Over all, this Pan Am plate set is in very good vintage condition.

Blue and white cotton gingham ribbon with embroidered daisies, this amazing vintage textile was made in France exclusively for Hyman Hendler, the king of sewing trims and ribbon.

They truly do not make ribbon like this anymore!

The ribbon is new old stock and in excellent condition.

The Egyptian goddess Isis graces the center of this small antique brass tri-footed trinket dish made by the Benedict Manufacturing Company. The plate has a beautiful repeat edging pattern reminiscent of the Arts & Craft style of the time.

Advertised to the gift trade in Geyer's Stationer 1909 catalog, the 'Karnak Brass' line was said to embody "the Egyptian idea of utility and art," and "A distinction and a uniqueness in quality that make it attractive to the best classes of trade." Each piece in the line was hand finished with "antique brass and Nile green decoration". You can see traces of the "Nile" green on the feet of this piece.

Based in East Syracuse, New York, the Benedict Manufacturing Company, founded in 1894, produced decorative metal household items from copper, brass, silver plate & pewter until they closed shop in 1953.

This lovely little dish is stamped "Benedict" along with the company hallmark, the number "573," and "Karnak Brass." The piece is in good vintage condition and shows a marvelous patina of age. The patina is not uniform over the entire piece and is lighter and darker in some spots. There is a "streaking" that almost looks as though light is emanating from Isis's wing. My preference with antique pieces is not to polish them, as I believe the aging process enhances their appeal. I will leave polishing up to you. The dish has a few light scratches on the surface from wear.

Vintage 1940s watch pendant necklace is a stylish retro time keeper with a beautiful black enamel and gold design on the reverse side.

The 17 jewel watch has a gold-tone metal casing and comes on vintage chain which I believe is original to the timepiece. The watch is mechanical, meaning you have to wind it up by hand.


The watch works, but it is a vintage timepiece and should be wound gently. Be careful not to over wind it. The watch casing shows typical wear and has a nice patina of age. The enamel work is in good condition with a few light scratches.

Swiss Made Watch - Medana was a brand used by the Swiss company of Meyer & Studeli.
