Vintage fabric in a classic paisley pattern, the vibrant red background enhances the white paisley swirls and polka dots. Although this is a small fabric remnant, the 44" x 48" piece can be used for a variety of sewing and crafts projects. The fabric would be perfect for small Christmas ornaments or gifts.

I bought this fabric with a stack of other remnants at the estate sale of woman who did a lot of sewing back in the late 1950s to early 1970s. She kept her remnant stash well organized and clean. I do not know definitively what type of fiber it is woven from, but it feels like cotton.

Vintage bright orange and yellow paisley fabric -- make something sunny and summery from this wonderful retro textile.

I found this fabric in a stack of remnants at the estate sale of woman who did a lot of sewing back in the late 1950s to early 1970s. She kept her remnant stash well organized and clean.

I do not know definitively what type of fiber this fabric is woven from, but it feels like cotton.

36" wide x 108" long (3 yards)

Vintage winter scene plate from Himark Japan depicts a charming country Christmas with horse drawn sleigh, children making a snowman, and a farmhouse in the distance.

The dish was made for decoration and not for use with food. It has a metal hook for easy hanging on a wall. It's so lovely, you'll want to display the plate all year round.

Made from ceramic, the plate has a gold rim, red enamel painted boarder, and a silvery center with etched & painted scene. There two Japanese characters etched near the back of the sled.

Marked "Happy Holidays from Himark Japan"

Vintage children's spelling textbook circa 1930s, this book instructs and delights with charming illustrations by Mabel Betsy Hill.

Each 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" illustration depicts a childhood scene and bears Hill's signature. I've counted 21 illustrations in the book. Illustrations are colored in shades of orange.

Book also includes a section of "Recommended Poetry for Memorizing," including poems by Robert Louis Stevenson, Christina G. Rossetti, and Alfred Tennyson.

Winter Wonderland of Love

Set in Caslon 471 bold, this vintage typeface font specimen sheet can be framed as a picture, cut for a banner, used in scrapbooking, or other arts & crafts projects.

This loose-leaf letter sample sheet from Comp/Type Inc's 1970 Photo Lettering Photo Composition Catalog is a cool example of a retro typesetting sample dating back to a time when graphic artists actually cut and pasted type fonts on paper.

The reverse side of the sheet has a rather odd phrase "buy a poor person today." Researching the phrase did not yield any clues to its origin or what it might possibly mean.


Measurements: 8 1/2" x 11"

Condition: Loose-leaf sheet is in very good vintage condition.

I have an entire loose-leaf binder of type fonts and awesome phrases and will be posting them in my shop. If you're looking for a particular font or hip 1970s phrase, send me a message and I'll check to see if it's in the binder.

What would you wish for if you were granted three wishes?

A charming edition of the classic "The Three Wishes" fairytale, this vintage Rand McNally children's book has beautiful color illustrations and a graphic hardcover. Published in 1946, the story is retold by Wallace Wadsworth with color and black & white illustrations by Esther Friend.

I can imagine matting and framing the illustrations. They would make an amazing display in a nursery or child's bedroom.

This is a vintage children's book from the 1940s. The volume shows wear. The cover has a split on the front and back along the spine, a few light pencil marks, and a stain where it looks like someone once rested a cup. Previous owners name is written in ink on the front inside endpaper. Pages are yellowing & a few of them are chipping. Back cover is just beginning to loosen.

Measurements: 6 3/4" x 5 1/8"

Vintage drapery fabric scape has a wonderful mid-century modern floral design in shades of green and yellow. Look closely and you will see butterflies in the pattern repeat .

This remnant was at one time a curtain. Long ago part of the curtain panel was cut away and repurposed for another use. What remains is a fabric scrap that can be used in a variety of creative ways. You could make several pillow covers from the piece, pretty cloth napkins and/or placemats, or some other creative project. Use your imagination.

The piece is approximately 105" x 13" wide with two seams and a two inch hem. The piece is lined with a nice quality cotton.

Darling vintage handmade wood egg cups are just right for your vintage country kitchen home decor. These cups are approximately 50 years old and are in good condition for their age. They have a nice patina and some minor chipping to the hand-painted floral design. One cup has a nick on the rim. Very shabby chic!

These charming egg cups would be perfect for displaying Easter eggs.

This vintage Christmas postcard has so much going on, I'm not sure which detail to list first.

The International Publishing Co greeting card dates from 1912 and has a classic Arts & Crafts Movement design. The card has a 1912 Red Cross Christmas Stamp, an American Flag cancel stamp with 13 stars from Gainesville, Georgia dated December 22, 1912 at 7 p.m., & a green 1 cent U.S. postage stamp with a profile of George Washington.

But, wait, there's more. The postcard also has a very curious looking Victorian era gold foil sticker with a cotton boll encircled by a holly and American flag wreath. The small circular stamp is imprinted with word "Greetings."

The card and stamps are in very good vintage condition.

This miniature brass & paper world globe can be used as a paperweight or decorative office accent.

Dating from the 1950s, the globe was brought home as a souvenir from a trip to Italy. Heavy for its size, the brass globe is engraved "Made Italy" on the bottom. The globe has a brass half-meridan. The globe itself has paper gores depicting an old world globe pasted over the brass base.

The brass has a nice patina of age. There are spots and some discoloration on the metal. The paper gores are all firmly attached to the orb but you can see some separation between a few of the gores.

The globe stands 5" tall with 2" base diameter. The orb has approximately a 2 1/4" diameter.

Photograph five (5) shows how the small globe compares to a 12-inch orb. Larger globe is for comparison only and is not for sale.

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?

A sad and classic anti-war protest song, composed by Pete Seeger. The lyrics are based on an old Cossack folk song. Seeger adapted the song to the tune of the Russian folksong "Koloda Duda." The song was popularized in the 1960s by the singing group Peter, Paul, & Mary.

A bit of Jackie O and a bit of Iris Apfel, these large round frame vintage sunglasses will complete your retro look. The glasses are perfect for the summer sun winter slopes. The frames are a clear red brown lucite with dark gray lenses.

Sunglasses are marked "May USA" &"Cathy" on one temple and "44 5" on the other.

The eyeglasses are in excellent vintage condition and come with a cool contrasting turquoise blue eyeglass case.

Sunglasses are 6" across. Bridge is about 5/8". Temples are about 4" long. Round frames are approximately 2 5/8" in diameter.

Sunglasses are circa 1960s, but will never go out of style.

Vintage TWA junior crew member pins were give-away gifts for children during flights in 1960s. This fine example of a airline wing pin has a medallion clasp patented by the Stoifel Seals Corporation of Tuckahoe, N.Y.

The TWA airline wing pin is molded from black plastic with chrome-like silver paint detailing. The pin is in good vintage condition with minor wear to the paint. Clasp is in very good working condition.

The pin would made a great gift for an aviation memorabilia collector.

Badge is approximately 2 1/2" long x 3/4" wide.
