The small bird has lost his tag, but the piece has the look and heft of Italian Murano glass.

Vintage Gillette Starburst double-edge safety razor, this long-handled classic, made for a woman, but also suitable for a man, is known to give a good, close shave. Made in the U.S.A., this vintage Gillette razor has an "S 4" mark dating its manufacture to 1972. The razor has a cool mid-century modern starburst pattern and a blue handle.
The razor is in good condition. It could use a good cleaning.

This trio of polyester knit fabric samples from Blue Ridge Winkler Textiles, a division of Lehigh Valley Industries, Inc. can be used for any number of arts & crafts projects.
The knit samples are in shades of orange red, blue, & purple in a tone-on-tone pattern interspersed with gray. The set of three samples comes with one Blue Ridge Winkler Textile tag identifying one of the colors as "Flame Red."
Each fabric sample measures 36" x 39". The purple sample has a small 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square cut out of one corner.
Fabric is in good, clean condition.

Vintage miniature rustic wood desk, this wonderful piece of furniture was handmade for a dollhouse. The desk has 5 working drawers, numerous cubby holes, and 3 handmade books. The middle desk drawer has some aged sheets of paper in it that look like antique stationery.
A one-of-a-kind true piece of folk art, the desk was made for a little girl by her grandfather back in the 1960s. The "little girl" is grown, and during her downsizing sale, she sold a few precious pieces of her grandfather's handmade dollhouse furniture. I bought all the miniatures she was selling.
Condition: Desk is in good condition, but was a child's toy and shows wear. All the drawers work. The middle desk drawer sags a bit.
Measurements: 4 7/8" tall x 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/8" deep.

Vintage Lefton Japan ceramic turkey salt or pepper shaker can be used as intended or as a Thanksgiving table decoration. This hand-painted Tom Turkey has great color and detailed features. And, he's in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing.

Vintage Beistle Company die cut Thanksgiving turkey decorations just like the ones your teacher hung up in your classroom way back when.
In very good vintage condition, these fine Tom turkeys bear the Beistle company signature and are dated 1972. Bright colors, one side of each turkey is glossy and the other side is matte. Each turkey has a small hole near its top for tacking on to a bulletin board or other surface.
Turkeys were used as classroom decorations and show typical wear. One turkey has a small worn spot on the matte side near the top of his feathers and a small tear near his base.
Dimensions: 17" Tall; 11" at widest point.

Vintage Great Depression era cookbook, The Art of Cooking & Serving by Sarah Field Splint was published by Proctor & Gamble to promote the use of Crisco shortening.
The book is a treasure trove of recipes and table etiquette from the early 20th century, covering the kitchen equipment, meal planning, nutritional information, the proper way to set a table, and how to serve meals.
There is a handwritten recipe for "Brown Gravy" in the back of the book.

Vintage Hair Style of the Month poster captures the essence of 1960s hipness in this gorgeous portrait of a stylish woman. That hair! That background! That outfit! It doesn't get much groovier than this.
Published in Chicago by Hair Style of the Month, this original poster was produced for display in hair and beauty salons across the United States. The poster is printed on sturdy coated paper and has an image on both sides.
This poster was displayed in a Chicago salon and remarkably shows very little wear. One side of the double-sided poster is slightly faded from the sun (see photograph 3). The edges are in good condition showing minor wear. The poster was stored rolled up for many years.
Poster is marked "Hair Style of the Month, Chicago, Illinois" on one side.
Measurements: 20" x 16".

Small Stangl leaf in a lovely shade of purple can be used for on your dining table for condiments or your dresser for jewelry and trinkets.
Stangl, the legendary American art pottery was found in 1814 & produced its wares in Flemington, New Jersey. Known worldwide for its beautiful and functional pieces, Stangl produced everything from ceramic drain pipes & storage crocks in the early 19th century to art pottery and modern dinnerware in the 20th century. The business closed its doors in 1978.
This sweet little leaf is impressed on the underside with "Stangl U.S.A." &"3527."
Leaf is in very good vintage condition. There are a few manufacturing bumbles on the top and two rough, unglazed spots on the bottom, one of which shows wear. These two spots are not visible when the piece is displayed.

Isn't she lovely! This hair style is brought to you by the Hair Style of the Month company, a purveyor of fine coiffure style ideas back in the 1960s.
One of a lot of amazing posters of beautiful woman with 1960s hairdos, this double-sided poster was displayed in the window of a Chicago beauty salon window back in its day.
The poster shows wear and is damaged on one side (see photograph two). The edges show wear including some tears. The poster has some tape residue and there is a spot on the model's nose. The price reflects these flaws.
Measurements: 20" x 16".

This beautiful piece of Higgins glass is one of Frances and Michael's early pieces made in their home studio between 1948 and the early 1950s before their partnership with Dearborn Glass. The piece has a hand-etched signature.
Small and wonderful, the fused glass piece has a striking pattern of muted oranges and pink. Originally intended for use as an ashtray, the dish has indentations on two sides.
Founded in 1948, Frances & Michael Higgins began producing their now famous art glass in their Chicago apartment using kilns set up behind their sofa. Using the ancient art of glass fusing, the Higgins created the quintessential art glass of the Mid-Century Modern era.
The ashtray is 4" x 4" and is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips.

This vintage Christmas ceramic figurine captures Santa Claus with his sack standing by a red brick chimney. The small chimney opening can be used as a planter, or fill it with decorative holiday candy.
The ceramic figure isn't marked but is in the style of those produced in Japan in the 1950s and early 1960s.
The piece is in good vintage condition. No chips. No cracks. Some crazing. There is some paint loss most noticeably on Santa's cap, arm, and boots. Please look closely at the photographs as they are part of the description.

In the 1950s, Napco and Lefton made wonderful Christmas girls in a large variety of styles. This one is a 7" tall Christmas caroler planter with a red song book, green cloak, blond hair, blue eyes, and holly decorated hat and bag.
She can be used as intended as a planter but I think she would look pretty nifty filled with candy canes.
The figurine is very good vintage condition. She has no cracks and no chips. There is some paint loss most noticeably on her cloak along one side (see photographs 4 & 5). She has her original foil Napco and is also marked "AX2193C" dating her to 1956.
Figurine is 7" high with a 5 1/2" base diameter. Planter area measures 3" long x 2 1/4" wide x 2 1/2" deep.

Vintage burgundy velvet hand-sewn Muslim kufi cap has a hand embroidered design rendered in metallic thread and faux pearls. Also referred to as a taquiyah or topi, this beautiful vintage hat can be worn or displayed.
From the estate of a textile collector, the hat is from the early to mid-20th century and was gently worn. There are a few stray threads and light wear to the velvet.
The velvet cap is lined with a mauve taffeta fabric. You can see the hand stitching. The embroidery motif is a series of leaves alternating with trees.
Hat has an 8" diameter and 22 1/2" circumference.
