Good organizing skills never go out of style. Brush up on your indexing and filing rules with this awesome vintage textbook. The small vintage library and office skills book is filled with fabulous illustrations of good organizing systems.

Genuine vintage book from the 1930s, this former library book has its Dewey Decimal classification number (651.5) on its cover. There are several Fairleigh Dickinson University and Fairleigh Dickinson Union College stamps throughout the book including stamps on the book's page edges, as well as "DISCARD" stamps on the title page. The book shows wear. A child scribbled on the front endpapers. There is a white ring stain on the cover, a "Due Date" slip on the back left-hand side endpaper, and glue residue on the right-hand side back endpaper. All these flaws add to the quaintness of this old-fashion library science book. Binding is tight.

This vintage framed photo has a great patina of age. The silver-tone metal frame is slightly bent on the upper right-hand side. With a magnifying loop, you can detect some dust visible under the framing glass.

The back of the frame has a lovely gold velvet backing with both an easel stand for propping the photograph on a desk, as well as a metal loop for using it as wall decor.

Awesome vintage cropped top would look fantastic paired with a black skirt or pair of black jeans. Made from an amazing lurex fabric, the black and gold metallic cropped blouse has no label and appears to have been homemade by a talented seamstress.

The vintage shirt has a peter pan collar, a small bow accent at the neck, and a back zipper.

A genuine vintage blouse dating from the 1950s - early 1960s, the garment is in very good condition showing light wear. The zipper is just over 18 inches long and about 1/4 of the zipper tape extends beyond the bottom of the hem.

This unusual and beautiful vintage dance card notebook has an ornate metal cover with fountains, pretty maidens, scrolling floral design, and shell motif border.

The stamped metal chatelaine notebook is in good condition with a nice patina of age. The silk cord is in good condition.

The dance notebook contains a program for the Phi Beta Delta midwestern convention that took place on Saturday, April 18, 1925, including a list of chaperones for the evening, the names of the organizers, and a list of the fraternity's midwestern chapters along with their corresponding universities.

The pocket-size notebook also has two dance pages which are filled in with twelve names. A girl named "Gusta" is noted for the 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, and last dance. There are also two pages with handwritten, notations "Gusta Golderberg Falmouth Kentucky" and " Gusta Goldberg 420 S. Division Ann Arbor, Mich" as well as the Greek letters theta sigma sigma.

Popular in the eighteen and early nineteen century, dance cards, also known as carnets de bal, were popular accessories at formal events used for noting dance partners for particular dances.

Cool old vintage dentistry supply boxes designed to keep stainless steel dental bands organized can be repurposed to store any number of small items, from office odds & ends, jewelry, and beading supplies.

The vintage wood boxes have dovetail corners, metal hinges on the front that close securely, and white plastic inserts with wells for stashing and organize small things.

The cases and the contents (there are some stainless steel dental bands in some of the storage wells) date from the 1960s and were made by Rocky Mountain Dental Products. The boxes are old and show wear including scuffs, dings, and scratches.

Each case has a sheet of paper taped on the inside with various indications of stock and usage as well some old dental band stock in the wells.

Circa 1930s French Line travel brochure includes vintage maps of France with an inset of Northern Africa, Paris, and the world, as well as information about French Line ocean liners, Air France plane travel, travel agencies in America, French Line world services, and general tourist information.

This brochure can be dated to the late 1930s as it mentions the French Line ocean liner SS Champlain which was sunk off La Pallice, France in 1940 by the Nazis.

Lithographed in the U.S.A. the fold-out map brochure opens to a large poster size measuring 39" by 26". The map brochure shows typical signs of wear including tears around the edges and at the folds and tanning to the paper.

This is a genuine vintage book not a recent reprint. It is an ex-library book and has "discard" stamps on the front and back endpapers, and a library stamp from the "North Junior High School Library. Weathered book set of two Norman Mailer classics will not only look great on your bookshelf but are well worth the read.


Norman Mailer's The Naked and The Dead, considered one of the best novels of World War II, catapulted the 25-year-old author to literary fame upon its publication in 1948. The Rinehart symbol (an R in a circle) on the copyright page indicates that this is a 1st edition copy of this 20th-century classic. Includes a New York Herald Tribune Weekly Book Review clipping of Richard Match's May 9, 1948 review of the book. I found the clipping neatly folded between pages 642 & 643. Consequently, there is significant yellowing on these pages from prolonged contact with the clipping.

Here's a quote from this glowing review.

"'The Naked and the Dead' is about infantrymen--or, rather, men in the infantry --and the despair, the lung-searing fatigue, the unutterable terror and horror of jungle war. Vintage Lionel Train airport beacon tower would make a fun decor accent in your office, den, man cave, or in a child's room.

Produced from 1949 until about 1953 by the Lionel Corporation, No. 394 Beacon is made from aluminum and has a cool industrial look. This light beacon model is untested and is being sold "as is" as decor not a working train set accessory.

The light beacon tower shows signs of age including scratches, dents, soiling, and some green corrosion around the base. Note that there are obvious dents on the base and around the top tower rail. The beacon comes with its original light bulb. Again, please note that this model has not been tested and is being sold "as is."

Little Tots Nursery Tunes No. 3 The Jolly Game Book includes a set of four double-side 78 rpm records along with eight cards with charming illustrations by Maud Trube back printed with the corresponding children's song lyrics and game instructions.

Bound in card stock boards, the record album has a string-tied binding and lovely cover illustration. The record album contains four sleeves for the vintage 78 rpm records. Each record has an picture of Mother Goose. The records are not in good condition.

This very old set of children's records dates back to 1923. The album, records, and illustrated song cards show considerable wear. Two of the records are broken and another record is cracked. The album cover has wear around the edges and is missing the top right-hand corner. The illustrated cards show wear around the edges as well as creasing and soiling. The cards can be matted and framed as wall art for a child's room or baby's nursery.

Sweet set of four vintage juice glasses with a white hibiscus floral design will lend a tropical retro touch to a modern kitchen.

The vintage glassware set is in good condition. No chip. No cracks. The white floral designs shows light signs of wear. If you look closely at the glasses, you'll see faints signs of an additional design above the floral patterns that has almost completely worn away.

A beautiful pair of vintage Delman shoes, these striking black satin and peau de soie kitten heal pumps have an elaborate rhinestone accent at the front.

Famous for their high quality as well as their high style, Delman has been in the shoe business since 1918, catering to hollywood stars as well as well-heeled society doyennes.

Although these shoe can be worn as they are in good condition, they would make a fabulous addition to a serious vintage shoe collection, and would look amazing on display.

These are genuine vintage shoes. They were gently worn, but do show signs of wear and age with some light scuffing on the satin and peau de soie. The vintage shoes have typical street wear on the soles.

The shoes have a gold leather insole marked Delman New York Paris Rome. The shoes do not have any indication of size. They came from the estate of a woman who wore a size 5.5 - 6 shoe. The shoes were stored with the vintage satin shoe stretchers as shown which are included with the listing.

The shoes look small and narrow and have the following measurements:
9 1/2" Bottom Sole from back of the heel to tip of the toe
3" Bottom Sole at widest point
8 3/4" Inner Sole from toe to heel
2 1/2" Inner Sole at widest point

I wear a size 6B shoe and these shoes fit me very tightly and are too narrow for my feet.

Rare late 1930s pre-World War II Cram's Universal Terrestrial 9-inch globe shows Italian East Africa (formed in 1936), as well as British Somaliland, which was conquered and annexed by Italy in 1940.

The vintage globe has an Art Deco metal base and half meridian, and a pull chain to activate the internal light. The electrical cord is more modern than the globe indicating that it was replaced at some point. The light works. Globe was tested with a 15W LED.

The globe has a lovely vintage patina. The dark blue oceans contrast beautifully against the straw tones of the continents. The globe is soiled and there is some cracking of the pasteboards, sections of the equatorial band are missing, and there is some separation at the Equator through Africa. Please look closely at the photographs. I'd be happy to send you additional photographs of this fine globe.

The globe has surprisingly little paper loss but there are a few small spots as follows:
--Off the Coast of Guiana
--Off the Coast of Brazil just above the Equator
--A few specks in the South Atlantic
--A few specks along with a scratch in the Indian Ocean below the Equator
--Northern India near the Afghanistan boarder
--Tiny dot in western China

There are also a few light scratches. There are a few very small scorch spots inside the globe.

BE SURE TO USE A VERY LOW WATT BULB (15Watts) TO ILLUMINATE THE GLOBE.
Always best to have vintage electrical wiring checked before use.

Vintage porcelain goose & gander pair would make a lovely wedding, anniversary, or housewarming gift for a loving couple.

The pre-World War II ceramic wild geese figures have nice detailing and are marked "Germany" on the bottom in green. One of the figurines is also impressed with the number "7872."

The geese are made from fine porcelain and are quite old -- circa 1920s - 1930s. The figurines are in good vintage condition. One of the figurines has a production flaw -- small patch of rough porcelain -- near the tail (see photograph two, goose on the right).
