Beautiful artist-signed antique Limoges plate has Bawo Dotter Elite Works stamps dating its creation between 1900 - 1914. Made in France, the gold-rimmed serving plate can be used as a cake plate or displayed in a breakfront.

The plate has hand-painted red tulips outlined in gold.

This is an 100-plus year-old plate. It is in very good condition for its age. There is some wear on the gold around the rim. If you run your finger around the plate's footing - not the gold rim - you might detect two tiny flea bites.

Bright yellow Provident Savings Bank beehive bank will liven up any child's room or your office desk.

Established in 1839, the Provident Bank of New Jersey, referred to itself as the "Beehive Bank," a bank for the working person. The beehive symbolized the hard work of laborers, servants, artisans, & shopkeepers.

Back in the day, banks frequently gave out gifts, usually toasters to entice people to open up new accounts, and piggy banks to encourage people to save money, which in turn they would deposit into their accounts.

Made by Plastique Unique of Santa Monica, California, this yellow beehive bank dates to the 1970s and is in very good condition.

What a great gift for the beekeeper or bee lover!

Insects, a perennially favorite reading subject for children, are rendered in beautiful lithographs in this vintage children's book. The charming book provides a colorful introduction to entomology.

A Child's Book of Insects by Sy Barlowe published in 1952 by Maxton Publishing is filled with information along with detailed bug art in color and in black & white. The front cover binding is quite decorative with a dandelion and various bugs including a dragonfly, butterfly, & bees. I could envision the volume displayed cover out on a shelf in a nursery or child's room.

The book once belonged to the Cedar Grove, NJ School system and has a stamp on the inside front endpaper "Aug 1960 Property of Board of Education of Cedar Grove." Other than the stamp, it is free of marks. It does has a ripped page (see photography 4). Several other pages have small tears near the bottom that do not interfere with the insect pictures. The spine shows some wear most notably at the bottom and at the edges.

Unique handmade wood world globe was made long ago by a woodworking enthusiast in his basement workshop. The continents were carefully carved into the wooden orb's surface along with the outlines of various countries.

The unusual wooden globe fits into a wood base. The salvaged wood globe looks as though it might have been meant to be a staircase banister finial. No matter what its original purpose, the vintage wood globe would look great as an office accent, library decor, or paperweight.

The wood globe and base show wear including chipped veneer and a few red ink-like spots on the base and above South America.

The 4" diameter globe stands approximately 7 1/2" tall on its wood base.

Cool old map of Newark, New Jersey from 1950s can be hung on a wall or bulletin board as is, or professionally framed for a more sophisticated decor look.

This is a genuine vintage map not a reproduction. As such, it shows appropriate wear for a map that was used as intended in its time. There is some splitting of the paper on the fold lines, wear around the edges, and a small notation in blue ink (see photograph 4).

Awesome set of public health education posters from the 1950s proclaim the importance of good dental hygiene, regular dentist visits, and the wonders of fluoride.

Spiral bound in a large, hardcover green book, the vintage public health posters were meant to be propped on an easel and displayed in sequence.

The first page and poster (see photograph 2) serves as a table of contents for the poster book. Including this page, there are 20 poster pages in the book. Posters sheets measure 19" by 15" each. The poster pages are printed on medium-weight paper.

The poster book cover shows wear from use mostly at the corners where the cloth covering has completely worn away. There is a snap at the bottom of the book with a broken strap which at one time would have allowed you to snap the book closed. The paper posters are in good condition with some aging to the paper.

Beautiful leather-bound copy of The Words of Jesus comes in its original gift presentation box. Published in the 1943, this small religious prayer book has gold-gilt edges, full-page color illustrations, illuminated pages, photographs, as well as black & white drawings.

The book is vintage from the 1940s but was never used and is in excellent condition. The gift box shows shelf wear mostly at the corners.

Box measures 6 3/4" x 5 1/8" x 7/8". The book is slightly smaller.

You may prefer to remount the weathervane on a new wood base.

Vintage sci fi pulp fiction paperback has a cool space age cover graphic perfect for display in your office, workshop, or man cave.

Published in 1954, The Explorers is the first collection of science fiction stories written by C. M. Kornbluth. This is a good display copy of the sci fi classic showing typical aging for a pulp paper book.

This book is for display and not reading. The paper is tanned with age but not brittle. The front hinge is beginning to crack. The spine is not cracked, but it would crack if the book was fully opened. The cover is in good condition with some visible wear around the edges.

Published by The Women's Press and distributed by the U.S.O. Division of the YWCA, Clock Your Day, a World War II era home front propaganda pamphlet, is a rare find. The wartime booklet advises women factory workers on sleeping, eating, dressing, and playing. The small pamphlet has charming illustrations by Mildred Wetmore.

This genuine World War 2 era booklet is a fascinating piece of labor history and women's history.

The pamphlet it is excellent condition.

Antique gutta percha pen box has a decorative hand-marbled paper overlay on the lid. Dating from the Victorian era, the antique box is the perfect desk organizer for stashing pens and pencils.

Gutta percha is a type of tree that produces a natural thermoplastic-like sap. Used for centuries by the islanders of the Malaysian archipelago, gutta percha became a popular manufacturing substance in the mid to late 19th century used in such diverse items as insulating material in undersea telegraph cables, Victorian mourning jewelry, and furniture.

The antique box is in very good condition for its age showing normal wear and tear including staining inside the box and a very small nick on the back lid by the hinge. Pens not included.

The vintage pen box has three compartments and measures approximately 7 3/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inched wide by 1 1/8 inches deep.

Impressive set of vintage medical dentistry textbooks have classic red cloth bindings & gold gilt title lettering. Charming antique McLoughlin Brothers children's book tells a simplified version of The Last of the Mohicans. The collectible vintage children's book has a die-cut chromolithograph of an American Indian boy with a front and back view.

This is a genuine circa 1890s antique children's book not a recent reprint. The book shows obvious evidence of use and the passage of time. There is damp staining on the cover and the first two pages of the book, as well as a gift inscription (Joe to Amelia) written lightly in pencil on the front cover. There is some paper loss at the tip of the little boy's feather headdress. Despite these flaws, the book shows well.

Sturdy first edition copy of Mabel Powers's Around an Iroquois Story Fire has a decorative pictorial cover and beautiful two-color illustrations by R. Emmett Owen.

Befriended by the Iroquois and affectionally referred to as Yehsennohwehs, Our Paleface Friend, Mabel Powers was a popular lecturer at Chautauqua Institution in the early 20th century.

This is a genuine vintage book not a recent reprint. The book was enjoyed in its time and shows typical sign of wear and the evidence of the passage of time. There are small tears at the edges of a few pages. There is a notable tear on page 71 as shown in photograph five. About one inch of the back hinge webbing shows through the endpaper, but the text block is stable and the binding is tight. There is soiling on the front endpaper and a previous owner's bookplate with name and address and a cute graphic of a bird.

This sweet little baby figurine from B & G's (Bing and Grondahl) The Four Aches series was designed by Svend Lindhart and produced in Denmark. He has a toothache!

Displayed in a dentist's office for many years, the vintage porcelain baby figurine is in very good condition. No chips. No cracks. The vintage baby figure is bottom stamped with the B & G hallmark, the number 2207, and Lindhart's mark.

This vintage chrome replica of the atomic sculpture is mounted on a black marble base and is in very good condition. Conceived by the engineer André Waterkeyn, the atomic model was built by the architects André and Jean Polak.
