According to The New York Times, "The Peeps at Many Lands Series is an old and valued friend of young people whose parents have the discrimination to provide for them attractive food for the assuagement of that desire to know about "some place else" that is inherent in all vigorous young minds. " New York Times, July 3, 1921
This fine American edition of the Peeps at Many Lands England and Wales has its original dust jacket illustrated with a girl and boy riding a magic carpet through the sky. The book contains sixteen beautiful color illustrations of English and Welsh landscapes.
The dust jacket is worn with chips, tears, and paper loss at the corners and at the top and base of the spine, as well as soiling. But, the dust jacket has served to beautifully preserve the decorative red cloth cover and paste-down illustration of an English cottage and garden. Pages show light browning from age but are supple. Pages are clean. Binding is tight.
