This is a Marjorie Weaver 20th Century Fox Dixie Ice Cream Lid Premium from the 1930s.


A movie fan would have collected the requisite number of Dixie lids to acquire a Hollywood star's photo sheet and mailed away for it. Dixie Ice Cream offered specially designed scrapbook looseleaf binders for fans to store their Hollywood star photo collections.

In exceptionally good condition, the card stock sheet has been punched holed for insertion in a binder. There is some light wear around the punched holes which have been reinforced and around the edges. Colors are vibrant. Back printed with additional photographs and description of the star.

This antique miniature teapot is a tiny gem of cloisonné art. The white cherry blossoms pop against the black background which is also known as noir cloisonné.

The small Japanese teapot has lovely green cloisonné detailing around the rim of the pot, lid rim, and along the handle, as well as green and blue detailing at the base of the pot.

The teapot is in very good antique condition showing typical wear for a 100-plus year old decorative item.

Teapot measures approximately 4" including spout & handle x 3" including lid X 2 3/4".

Bright and cheerful vintage corn on the cob plate can be used as a serving dish or displayed in your country kitchen.

Vintage from the 1930s, this beautiful hand-painted ceramic plate was made in Japan.

The serving dish is in good condition for its age. There are some tiny black spots on the yellow corn and one area of chipped paint (see photograph 2). There is crazing on the back of the plate.

This vintage hand-turned circular wooden box has a beautiful hand-painted folk art design. The piece is signed "Irvin H. Herbein."

In the mid-20th century, Irvin H. Herbein created many beautiful wood Pennsylvania Dutch folk art pieces, from trinket boxes, to pins, to housewares.

This lovely little trinket container can be used to organize small objects on your desk or dresser.

The small box would also make the perfect container for a special ring.

The piece has a very small imperfection on the inner lip of the box bottom which does not effect the beauty of the piece. The paint shows minimal wear. Please see the photographs for more information about condition:

Vintage children's spelling textbook circa 1930s, this book instructs and delights with charming illustrations by Mabel Betsy Hill.

Each 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" illustration depicts a childhood scene and bears Hill's signature. I've counted 21 illustrations in the book. Illustrations are colored in shades of orange.

Book also includes a section of "Recommended Poetry for Memorizing," including poems by Robert Louis Stevenson, Christina G. Rossetti, and Alfred Tennyson.

A biography of George Washington published by John Hancock Insurance Company, this advertising pamphlet was part of an American History booklet series published by Hancock from the 1930s -1956. Copyrighted 1933 and lithographed in the U.S.A., this brief, patriotic biography is in very good condition.

The back cover has some minor wrinkles. Stapled binding is tight. Paper is supple.

The Chain of Command is a humorous satire on the inner workings of army procedure. Told in a light manner and illustrated with cartoons, the story exposes the hilarious and unexpected consequences associated with the attempt to ration toilet paper.

This is a vintage, first edition copy of the book published in 1945. The dustcover shows wear with chipping and tearing along the edges. Hardcover boards have some spotting and the edges and spine are worn. There is a gift inscription written in ink on the inside from end paper.

Issued in 1949, this Johnny Vander Meer Bowman Gum baseball trading card No. 128 is in very good to excellent condition.

In 1938, Cincinnati Red pitcher Johnny Vander Meer set the the baseball record considered the hardest to break for pitching the most consecutive no-hit innings against the Boston Bees at Crosley Field and the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field.

Found in a box of correspondence sent to the USA from Japan in the 1950s, this original silk fabric painting shows a lovely winter scene. Mounted between red-trimmed card stock and a delicate sheet of paper, the painting is in excellent condition.

The charming scene shows falling snow, pine tree boughs, snow-covered lanterns, with a view across water to a red gateway with snowy hills in the background. The red gates stands in sharp contrast to the gray winter sky.

Matting and backing paper are slightly yellowed. Right hand side of the matting (side without the red trim) appears to have been gently torn or cut out of a book or from a back matting board. The piece is not signed.

A beautiful and delicate work of art, it would be a lovely addition to any decor.

This May 1916 issue of John Martin's Book, A Magazine for Little Children, is filled with stories, puzzles, & marvelous illustrations from the Art Nouveau period.

This issue includes a story by Jack Yeats, a puzzle by George Carlson, and illustrated ads for Colgate, Swift's Premium Hams & Bacon, the Hotel Belmont in New York City, Vaseline, and other products.

John Martin, the pseudonym of Morgan van Roorbach Shepard, began writing stories for children while recovering from an injury suffered during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

The magazine is in good condition showing typical wear, chipping, and some soiling. Printed on cheap, pulp paper, the magazine pages are tanned with age and chip easily.

The illustrations are suitable for repurposing in so many ways. Frame them for nursery or child's room decor. Use them in scrapbooking or arts and crafts project.

I love old pencils. Don't you? I think they sharpen up nicer than newly manufactured ones. This instant collection of vintage pencil is in shades of blue, and would look cool displayed in your office. The pens have an assortment of advertising on them including Sears, Roebuck Co., Tupperware Home Parties, various plumbing businesses, & Harrison Recreation Lanes in Harrison, N.J.

Most of the pencils are graphite, but the grouping also includes an Eagle "Chem Sealed" Verithin indigo blue and two Dixon Phano china markers.

There are ten (10) pencils total. Some are sharpened, some are not. The erasers feel dry and may not work. Pencils have a varying degree of wear including nicks in the wood, paint loss, & some soiling.

Pencils range in length from 7 1/2" to about 4 1/4."

Classic Japanese wooden kokeshi doll made in Japan by Otagiri Mercantile Company, Inc. (OMC) for the American market, this miniature doll would be a sweet addition to your collection.

In good vintage condition, the hand-painted wood kokeshi shows typical age-related wear with some loss and cracking of the paint. The doll has her original gold foil OMC label.

Exquisite Japanese woodblock print depicts a calm winter scene with temple gate, temples, falling snow, evergreens and an adult with child strolling by. The child is wearing a red shirt and your eye is immediately drawn to it. The temples are outlined in red and gold. I found this charming print in an old box of correspondence dating from the late 1940s through the 1950s.

The paper stock is folded in half as if the owner meant to use it as a note card. The ink impression shows through on the reverse side. Suitable for framing either folded in half or fully opened, this lovely art work is in very good vintage condition. The paper is beginning to tear at the creases.

There is what looks to be a signature and a chop stamp on the lower left-hand side of the woodblock.

Danish stoneware pottery wine goblets are beautiful and practical examples of art pottery, and would fit into a range of decor from modern to rustic.

The goblets can be used as wine glasses, for tea, saki, or the beverage of your choice.

Each stoneware cup is bottom marked "Denmark" and have an artist mark. The set shows three different artist marks - "H" with an asterisk-like star, an "H" in an oval, &"Hanne."

The stoneware goblets are in very good vintage condition with no chips and no cracks. The cups have label glue residue on the bottom which I have not attempted to remove.

Very old hollow plaster cast nativity stable animal figure is a rare find. Made in Germany in the 1930s, the ox was meant for display in a Christmas creche or Putz village. Ox is stamped "Germany" on the underside.

Ox shows his age. He had horns on his head which broke off long ago. His wooden stick legs have signs of being repairs with glue. One leg is wobbly.

Measures approximately 6" long x 4 1/4" tall x 2" at his widest point.

Perfect for your 1950s retro kitchen look, this vintage magnetic bulletin board has a delightful yellow & orange graphic border with fish, rolling pins, ears of corn, tomatoes, & carrots.

Known as a "Maggie Board," the notice board was made in the U.S.A. by Maggie Magnetic, Inc. The magnetic metal board has been painted to look like a chalkboard.

The board surface has some scratches on it and one small rusty spot which might buff out. Please look at the photographs for more information about condition.
