Stop staring at me!
This vintage eye model will have everyone staring at it. Made in Germany by Somso, the famous anatomy model maker, the eye is a work of art. Somso models are individually hand assembled, and painted with exacting detail and anatomical accuracy. The science model is sturdy and in great condition. The anatomy model comes apart revealing the inner structure of the eye.
From the estate of an ophthalmologist, the model eyeball dates from the late 1950s, and was designed for use by medical students. The model is clean and shows minimal wear. All six original parts are present. Various points are marked with numerals, but the corresponding guide is lost to time.
The eyeball model would make an interesting prop or decor accent no matter where you choose to display it.
The eye model stands approximately 7 3/4 inches tall fully assembled.
