Vintage medical science book published by Schering in the 1940s provided doctors, nurses, and other allied medical professional the latest information on sex endocrinology.

The small vintage book is filled with beautiful medical illustrations and has an artful graphic design layout not typically associated with medical books. The book has an eight-page glossy illustrated plate section. Given to doctors as a gift from the Scherling drug company, the volume includes a section on drug "package information" for treating endocrine problems.

This is a genuine vintage book from the 1940s. It shows light shelf wear and has some soiling on the cover. Although the binding is tight, the binding webbing shows through at the beginning of the illustrated plate section on at page 41.

Striking image of a factory whistle sounds the cause of the post World War II Marshall Plan. A Dutch entry in the Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest, this is an original lithograph by artist Wladimir Flem.

The European Recovery Program (ERP) or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism.

A panel graphic artists, one from each of the countries benefiting from the Marshall Plan, selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

Published by Kofoed in 1945 and distributed by Conel Books, this treasure trove of hollywood movie star pictures includes brief biographies of the actors and actresses. Opposite each photograph is a page for fans to log in movies they're seen, where, when, stars, supporting casts, and comments.

For some reason, the publisher chose to put a not very glamorous photograph of Van Johnson on the cover.

The delightful illustrations in this antique children's book would look amazing on display in a child's room or nursery. The antique German children's board book was printed long ago in archaic Gothic German typeface. I believe the antique book is missing at least one board, as there is no title page with author and publisher information.

The book's binding has been reinforced with bookbinding tape. There are three double-sided boards present. The charming illustrations include a woodland scene with a deer, rabbit, and squirrels, a kitchen scene with quarreling siblings, children playing dress up, a summer boating scene, a winter scene with a snowman, and a scene with boys stealing apples from a tree.

Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches by 7 3/4 inches.
Published in German circa 1900 - 1910

This metal cigarette case is one smokin' vintage tobacciana collectible. The brass metal cover has an engraved map of the continental United States. The map indicates major cities across America. Most states also have a symbolic icon such as cattle in Texas, cactus in Arizona, oranges in Florida, and corn in Illinois. The hinged case is marked "Wadsworth Made in U.S.A."

You don't have to use this cool case for cigarettes. It would make a unique wallet or card case.

The cigarette case is in good vintage condition. It comes with its original felt pouch. The inside is very clean. The hinge works and is secure. Press the front button and the case pops open.

Case measures approximately 5 1/4" long x 3" wide x 1/4" deep.

Pysanky, an incredibly intricate and beautiful Ukrainian folk art, requires patience and a steady hand. This vintage pysanky Easter egg was made many years ago by woman who obviously mastered the art.

I bought a basket full of these amazing hand painted eggs at an estate sale. They are delicate and beautiful creations. This one has a green, red, & purple geometric design with what looks to be a black snowflake motif.

This is a vintage egg -- a real chicken egg. The insides of the egg were blown out before the shell was prepared transform it into a pysanky. The egg is in good condition.

In the days before computer generated charts, Dalton's Tables of Houses Spherical Basis of Astrology was (and for some serious astrologers, still is) the definitive reference book for charting horoscopes.

Published in 1975 by Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supplies, Co, Inc., Richmond, Virginia. The book is in very good condition with no underlining or highlighting. Former owner's name written in ink on the back endpaper.

But wait, there's more -- the former owner's astrological reading drawn up in 1978 by the legendary (in astrology circles) Neil Michelsen is included with the book. Michelsen, a former IBM employee, founded Astro Computing Service creating the first computer-generated ephemeris in 1976.

The old directional sign is made from heavy pressed board. It hung in a workshop for many years and shows considerable signs of age including soiling, scratches, dings, and bumped corners, all of which add a great patina of age.

Vintage new old stock fortune teller game contains the making of a fun party game experience.

Produced by "The Fun Manufacturing Co.," the vintage game contains a small game board entitled Fortune Teller's Hand Book Funny Fortunes by I.C. Stars. the "secret edition." Also included in the package are small cardboard game tokens marked with zodiac signs.

I found a reference to the game in the 1948 Catalog of Copyright Entries, Third Series stating the copyright holder as George Robert Titman dba (doing business as) Fun Manufacturing Co. The packaging has a 1948 copyright in Roman numerals.

The game board measures 4 inches by 2 1/2 inches folded in half. The cardboard game tokens about a 3/4 inch diameter. The game is new old stock and shows light shelf wear.

Vintage porcelain goose & gander pair would make a lovely wedding, anniversary, or housewarming gift for a loving couple.

The pre-World War II ceramic wild geese figures have nice detailing and are marked "Germany" on the bottom in green. One of the figurines is also impressed with the number "7872."

The geese are made from fine porcelain and are quite old -- circa 1920s - 1930s. The figurines are in good vintage condition. One of the figurines has a production flaw -- small patch of rough porcelain -- near the tail (see photograph two, goose on the right).

Impressive in weight and in rendering, these beautiful antique elephant bookends made by Verona circa 1925 have an Art Deco styling and a bronze finish. The vintage cast iron bookends make an attractive pair and will look striking in a your home library or office.

A great gift for the elephant lover, the vintage metal bookends will fit into any decor.

The bookends are very heavy weight approximately 4 1/2 pounds together. The elephant bookends are in good condition showing wear consistent with their age (about 90-years old). Each bookend has a worn piece of green felt on the bottom put there long ago by a previous owner to protect their furniture. The felt can easily be removed. The Verona foundry mark is present on one of the elephants but has mostly worn away. The elephants are marked "Pat. Pend."

Elephant bookends measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches long by 2 1/8 inches deep.

Classic Victorian era school reading primer has delightful illustrations, stories, and vocabulary word lists. The antique children's school book has a red decorative cover with a masted ship inside a crest. The vintage school book is a charmer and be could used as a unique decor accent in a modern classroom or child's nursery.

This is a genuine antique book published in 1898. The book was read in classrooms by children. The vintage book shows wear consistent with its age and use including wear to the cover with worn corners, soiling, tanned paper, a few pencil marks, and small tears. Previous owner wrote her name in a neat script along with the date in pencil on the front end paper (Jane Adams July 17th 1899).
