When I stumbled on this charming wooden toy dollhouse piano at an estate sale, I instinctively knew it was something special. A little research uncovered that it is a rare Schneegas Art Nouveau piano circa 1890s.

Handcrafted by the German furniture company Schneegass, the piano has an oak finish and a beautiful floral Art Nouveau panel on the front. The keyboard lid opens revealing 9 painted depressible piano keys.

Considering this miniature toy piano is approximately 125 years old, it's in remarkably good condition. The top piece has separated slightly from one corner of the back base but is not loose or wobbly (see photograph three). The key board cover does not stay up on it's own.

Serve your after dinner coffee on Christmas in this silver plate coffee pot for a dramatic finish to your festive feast. Made by Birmingham Silver, this beautiful silver on copper server has the classic shape of a silver coffee pot but it can be used for coffee or tea. Silver-plate coffee pots are traditional favorites that are both functional and decorative.

This pot dates from the 1940s and bears the Birmingham Silver hallmark. It is also marked "Silver on Copper."

The silver plating, and the coffee pot in general, are in very good condition. I shined it up a bit, but left a bit of the nice patina of age particularly on the feet, handle and spout. Should you choose, this pot should polish up to a high shine.

The coffee pot is approximately 11 1/2" tall by 11 1/4" wide including the spout and handle, by 6" at its deepest.

Santa Claus holds up a honeycomb tissue paper Christmas tree in this vintage Danish Amscan greeting card.

Once part of a salesman's sample book, the card is marked "Made in Denmark" on the back of the tree. The accompanying hand tag card has a red printing sample in lettering style no. 640 and is marked "Henri Fayette Chicago U.S.A." on the back. The card has its original metal clip to hold the honeycomb tree open.

Measurements: Santa is approximately 6 1/4" tall x 4"; The tree has a 4" diameter when fully open.

The card is in good condition. The piece has wear along the edges. Santa's foot has a crease and the edge of his coat is peeling up. Please see photographs for more information about condition.

Very cool vintage cardboard cylinders, these industrial containers once held Greenlee Tool Co Radio Chassis Punchs. Made in St. Louis by Sefton, these tool containers have cardboard bodies, metal bottoms, threaded metal tops and metal lids.

The containers are in very good condition. One container is pushed out slightly on the bottom.

Each container has a 2 1/4" diameter and is approximately 3 1/8" tall.

It's not just for butter! Vintage silver plate F. B. Rogers dome lidded butter dish can be used for cranberry sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, or the condiment of your choice. The fancy covered serving dish is a classic & fits into any decor.

The footed silver base has lion head and claw feet and a removable heavy glass insert making it easy to clean. The dish is hallmarked "1883 F. B. Rogers Silver Co."

In very good vintage condition, the serving piece has some age-related patina and wear. The dome opens and closes with ease. The glass insert has no chips or cracks.

The butter dish is approximately 5" tall with an approximately 5" diameter.

A curious piece of American college history, this fraternity and sorority "scrapbook" fan has scraps from various universities and Greek letter societies.

Acquired from the estate of an 103 year-old woman, the scrap fan documents some of the academic institutions, sororities, and fraternities where she socialized during her college years in the 1920s.

This fan is a rare piece of ephemera and is in very good condition. There are several places on the paper fan where scraps have fallen or been torn off. The wood fan sticks are in excellent condition. The fan has a metal loop for hanging.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, ladies would sometimes make scrap fans as mementos of the various places they visited. The few fans I've seen have always had mostly a college university focus.

The fan features a scrap from Simmons College, an all women's college founded in 1899. Scraps include:

The University of Maine

"America, Here We Come!," this 1959 Trailways Bus System pamphlet is a curious mix of education and advertising. Prepared by Valine Hobbs of Sam Houston State Teachers College for The Education Department of the Trailways Bus System, the short story follows Larry and Nancy as they travel across America by bus. In addition to a lesson in North American geography and American history, the tale instructs on the glories of bus travel and how to read a bus ticket.

The booklet has a series of small red and black drawings of Nancy and Larry enjoying their trip and a black & white snapshot of the Port Authority Union Bus Terminal in New York City.

The back cover is a map of the Trailways Bus System routes and principal connecting bus lines.

The booklet is 8 pages including the front and back covers and measures 8 1/2" x 11" and in excellent condition.

Colorful lithographed Flags of Our Country pamphlet, published by Humble Oil & Refining Company in 1962, tells the history of the American flag, the flags of the 50 states, and gives instruction on flag protocol. The booklet concludes with "The Pledge of Allegiance" on the back cover.

Founded in Texas in 1911, Humble Oil & Refining Company, the precursor to Esso, and in turn the Exxon Corp, produced a series of road maps and public service brochures promoting patriotism and national travel.

Rare 1940s - 1950s telephone cord purse handbag is a relic of U.S. innovation and creativity. Coiled in an artful design and affixed to a sturdy burlap base, this clutch purse has a black fabric lining, zipper closure, and a phone cord loop that fits around your hand. This loop has a rope cord threaded through it and is not stretchy.

Use this unique clutch purse to carry around your iPhone for a cool combination of old & new.

Although thought to be produced during the World War II era, telephone cord, or coil purses came into vogue late in the 1940s. The original purses were made in black or white, or a combination of the two colors. In the 1950s as telephones became available in more colors, manufacturers expanded their purse lines incorporating the new shades into fanciful designs.

This small clutch purse is in good condition showing typical wear for a handbag that was used in its time. The white telephone cord shows marks of wear including some soil and black scuff marks. There are also a few blue marks (pen ink perhaps?) most notably on the handle. The handle is beginning to fray. The burlap is yellowed with age particularly on the bottom of the purse. The black fabric lining is in very good condition.

Outside measurements: Approximately 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 1 3/4".
Interior measurements: Approximately 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1".

Box of 12 Silver Shiny Brite Glass Ornaments in Original Box


In 1939, with World War II fast approaching fast, Max Eckardt made a decision to shift his glass Christmas ornament manufacturing business from Germany to the U.S.A., thus the Shiny Brite business was born. These 12 silver glass ornaments come in their original box with Uncle Sam shaking Santa Claus's hand and the statement "American Made."

Each ornament has a metal cap stamped "Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A."

Condition: Decorations are in very good vintage condition for glass ornaments from the 1940s. The have some spotting, oxidation, and some paint loss. The original box is in exceptionally good condition.

Measurements: Approximately 3" from top of cap; 2 5/8" tall not including the cap x 2 3/4" wide; 9" diameter.

This metal cigarette case is one smokin' vintage tobacciana collectible. The brass metal cover has an engraved map of the continental United States. The map indicates major cities across America. Most states also have a symbolic icon such as cattle in Texas, cactus in Arizona, oranges in Florida, and corn in Illinois. The hinged case is marked "Wadsworth Made in U.S.A."

You don't have to use this cool case for cigarettes. It would make a great wallet or business card case.

The cigarette case is in very good + vintage condition. It comes with its original cotton-lined box. The inside is very clean. The hinge works and is secure. Press the front button and the case pops open.

Hand-painted 3D wood windmill plate from Holland, this vintage travel souvenir is so cool. A fabulous piece of Netherlands folk art, the windmill blades turn, and the cottage scene is so charming.

The piece is signed by the artist and has a hook on the back. In excellent vintage condition, the picture back is stamped "Hand Painted Made in Holland G.P.J." and "No. 7." Someone penciled "1954" on the back of the plate and "1. 47."

Vintage ceramic Santa Claus pitcher, this nostalgic 1950s Christmas serving piece is perfect for holiday entertaining. It holds a few servings of eggnog, or fill it with holly and evergreen branches for a festive holiday display.

Most likely Japan made, the pitcher is marked "X47-2/1" on the bottom.

This vintage Kodak Pocket Instamatic 50 camera comes in its original box along with a Magicube flash bulb and extender. Even if you could find the rare size K 4 volt battery required for this camera, I'm not sure if it is operational, but it sure does make a cool prop.

Camera is in good cosmetic condition. I detect a bit of battery corrosion residue in the body. Shutter works.
