Snowy pinecone clip-on earrings with original decorative packaging card marked "Merry Chirstmas" with bell motif and lady with a parasol. The curiosity of the card is almost as intriguing as the intricate detail on the pine boughs and cones.

The pine boughs are obviously plastic, although it is very difficult to discern if they are molded or carved. I don't believe these are celluloid. They could be Bubbleite. They are very light weight.

The pinecones are so realistic--I've examined them under a loop, that I ponder the possibility that they are real pinecones that have been dipped in a brownish goldish paint. Please note that there is a little bit of green on the pinecones. There are sparkles embedded on the white plastic boughs and the pinecones.

Never worn, these earrings are in very good vintage condition. The gold-tone clip-back is marked "Japan." The style dates these earring to the 1950s.

Comes in a decorative gift box ready for giving.

Vintage 1940s American Airline brochures harken back to the early days of commercial air travel. This awesome group of aviation advertising brochures comes in a nifty folder marked "The American Airlines System" &"Business," "Airfreight," &"Pleasure." The folder holds 7 brochures promoting American Airlines the new DC-6 & the Convair. American refers to them as their "5- Mile-A-Minute Flagship Fleet."

In the late 1940s American Airlines had three branches, American Airlines Inc., American Overseas Airlines, Inc., & American Airlines De Mexico, S.A. In 1950, Pan American Airways bought the American Overseas Airlines division.

These colorful brochures were printed and lithographed in the U.S.A.

1. Take Your Family with You For Only Half Fare -- This small format brochure measures 6" x 3" folded and 8 3/4" x 6" fully open.

2. American Airlines 5-Mile-A-Minute Flagship Fleet -- Measuring 9" x 4" closed, this brochure opens to a small poster size measuring 15 3/4" x 17 1/2". The brochure highlights American Airline's new flagship aircraft, the DC-6 & the Convair. It has a map of the current airline routes including American Airlines, "other airline," &"American Airline system - International routes not yet in operation." The map is dated 1948 and was drawn by the General Drafting Company. The brochure brags that the DC-6 will get you from New York to Los Angeles in 11 hrs 10 minutes in "Living Room Comfort."

3. Why Be An Ostrich About Wintertime Air Travel? 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. Brochure assures the potential winter air traveler that "American's Five-Mile-A-Minute Fleet is equipped with special devices, engineered specifically to meet seasonal conditions."

4. It's So Easy to go to Mexico - With a strapping matador on the cover this brochure measures 9" x 4" closed and 9" x 19 3/4" open. It includes an air traffic route map for the U.S.A. & Mexico.

5. Europe in Winter in Comfort by American Flagship - 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. Include American Airlines system map for USA and European routes. Boasts that it will get your to London from New York in 13 hours & 55 minutes.

6. The Sun Country - 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 19 3/4" open. Cover entices the traveler to "Give winter the go-by - find your place in the sun - go American to Arizona Texas California New Mexico." Has map showing the "Southern Sunshine Route."

7. American Airlines Maps - Routes of the Flagships. 9" x 4" closed; 9" x 12" open. One side of this brochure opens to a full page color lithographed American Airlines route map for the U.S.A. Mexico & Cuba with indicators to their international routes. The other side shows American Overseas Airlines, Inc. routes to Europe.

The envelope folder measures 9 3/4" x 5 3/4" closed & 9 3/4" x 14" open.

The folder and brochures are in very good condition for their age. They show wear around the edges.

I don't know if this vintage radio part is in working order, but it sure looks cool on display and would be an interesting addition to an up-cycled art project or Steampunk creation. My understanding is that this is a ham radio plug in tank coil inductor, also known as a transmitter coil.

I thought is was pretty neat looking when I picked it up at the estate sale of an avid ham radio operator. An interesting piece, the radio part would be right at home in any industrial decor scenario.

The part is made from metal and ceramic and what looks to be like some type of hard resin. One of these resin-like strips, there are three of them, that runs down the cylinder is broken (see photograph four).

The part is approximately 5 1/8" long x 5" wide. The cylinder section is approximately 3 1/4" in diameter.

The ceramic bar above the plug section is marked "C-390-A 5.7-8.0 mc 51C541" on one side and "G 29163" on the other side.

Instant collection of seven (7) sewing thread spools in fabulous shades of teals and blues, put them on display or use the thread in projects. Three (3) threads are on wooden spools and four (4) are on heavy-duty card board spools, all have been used and have varying amounts of thread remaining. Please see the photographs. One wooden spool is marked "Star Mercerized 1200 yes" and another is marked "Dandy No. 00 1200 Yards."

It's hard to say exactly the age of each of these spools. The woman I got them from said she had had them for a long time. Some may be as old as 80 or as young as 40. Regardless, the colors are just wonderful and would make a beautiful display.

This vintage 1940s egg carton is just the right decorative touch for a retro country farmhouse kitchen. Graphically interesting, the hens on the blue box look as if they are crowing.

The box is in remarkable condition. There are a few purplish colored marks on the lid and someone colored in the dotted 'i" in "Strictly" with yellow giving it a very sun-like look. The carton's original closure sticker shows that the box once contained eggs from the Par-Troy Farm in Parsippany, N.J.

Charming vintage wood towel rack has a cut out and hand painted group of Pennsylvania Dutch or Amish children with a red barn in the distance and bushel of red apples. This folk art towel rack is vintage and handmade, and has a rustic primitive look.

Condition: Towel rack is in good condition with a nice patina of age. There are two very small nail holes on each side near the top corners were it had mostly been hung to a wall.

Old-fashion glass thermometer, they truly do not make them like this anymore. Straight from a vintage doctor's black bag (the bag will be listed in my shop very soon), this French-made glass fever thermometer comes in a padded orange faux crocodile slipcase. Only the French could make a medical instrument look so chic.

Manufactured by Cooperation Pharmaceutique Francaise, this scientific instrument dates to the 1940s - 1950s. It measures temperature in celsius and is marked with numbers from 35 up to 42. The devise is marked "Minute Salva Melun" along with "Cooperation Pharmaceutique Francaise," which is based in the city of Melun. There is also a very hard-to-read series of etched letters and numbers, "RE 715815."

The thermometer measures approximately 5 3/8" long and is in very good vintage condition. I see one small scratch on the glass at about the 38 line mark. The case is approximately 6" long and is in very good vintage condition.

While on an Italian holiday back in the middle of the last century, someone came home from Naples with this cool Richard Ginori porcelain trinket tray as a souvenir. Made exclusively for the Hotel Continental, the receipt or tip tray has a colorful hand-painted scene of an 18th-century horse drawn coach pulling up to the front of the hotel. How could the vacationer resist bringing the small trinket dish home?

The tray is in very good vintage condition. No cracks. No chips. No crazing. The piece is hallmarked "Richard Ginori Porcellana Ariston Made in Italy."

Modernist Lucite tic tac toe board, it's a game, it's a sculpture, it would look pretty cool on your coffee table, it would make a very unique gift.

Lucite, acrylic, Plexiglas, Perspex, no matter what name you call it by, it's clear that this resin based material is an iconic interior design favorite. Developed in the 1930s, Lucite has been used to make jewelry, furniture, airplane windshields, submarine periscopes, light fixtures, and a myriad of other military, industrial, and household items.

This tic tac toe game board dates from the 1970s and is clearly a knock off of Van Teal's tic tac toe sculpture. The board and playing pieces are in good condition showing light wear. One piece (see photograph three) has a small ding on the bottom.

Vintage Beswick cat figurine, this seated gray tabby kitten has stripes and a sweet expression. The cat is marked "Beswick England," the British pottery company renown for their porcelain work.

Amazing 2 ft tall hand-painted wood folk art Santa Claus, this vintage Christmas decoration will become a family favorite. Beautifully rendered on a wooden board, Santa can be a wall hanging or propped up on a table display.

Santa is in remarkable condition for a vintage hand-painted plaque. He has a few dings and scratches and 4 tiny holes on his coat near the trim where tacks or small nails may have been at some point. His back has traces of some type of fabric-like or paper material and a red thumb tack.

Santa stands 2 feet tall and is 16 3/8" at his widest point. The board is 1/4" thick.

Gorgeous vintage powder compact with raised metal flower details encrusted with prong set rhinestones and faux pearls, this mirror powder box is a stunner, suitable for a wedding day or everyday.

This fine vintage accessory dates from the late 1940s-early 1950s, and is in amazing condition for its age. This lovely piece was very gently handled by its previous owner. There are just a few tiny spots on the bottom and a very small rubbed area on the front near the clasp. There is an oval piece of white coated card stock that fits into the compact and a used powder puff.

Captivating panoramic group photograph of the girls who attended Camp Mudjekeewis on the shore of Kezar Lake in Lovell, Maine during the summer of 1923, this extraordinary photographic document shows the girls in their camp uniforms with the camp site and tented cabins behind them.

I counted 86 girls and women in the photo, and one man dressed in a white suit and dark bow tie. The expressions on the girls faces range from joyous, to bored, to distressed.

I found the following quote from Camp Mudjekeewis's 1922 brochure on the Lovell Historical Society website. The camp open in 1919 and closed in the 1960s.

"Mudjekeewis offers to a limited number of girls the joy of a summer in the great out-of-doors, where they may store their minds with beauty, their bodies with strength and their hearts with the knowledge of real friendship born around the campfire and strengthened by common experience in discovering the secrets of the woods and the lure of the trail."

The photograph is in very good condition with a few minor scratches. It has a cardboard backing and a matte frame that has been covered with a wrapper that has yellowed with age. The photograph is marked in the lower right-hand corner "Mansur - Photo Augusta Me" and the number "9." The camp name and date are indicated on the front of the photograph.

Photograph measures approximately 24 1/2" long x 8 1/4" high.

I have an additional longer panoramic photograph of the same camp which I will be listing in my shop soon. This photograph shows the lake and the girls in action. Some girls stand down by the shoreline, some are on the pier, others are at various spots throughout the camp, seated on rocks, in groups under the trees, most of the girls are looking out towards the lake where some of the girls are canoeing.
