Antique gutta percha pen box has a decorative hand-marbled paper overlay on the lid. Dating from the Victorian era, the antique box is the perfect desk organizer for stashing pens and pencils.

Gutta percha is a type of tree that produces a natural thermoplastic-like sap. Used for centuries by the islanders of the Malaysian archipelago, gutta percha became a popular manufacturing substance in the mid to late 19th century used in such diverse items as insulating material in undersea telegraph cables, Victorian mourning jewelry, and furniture.

The antique box is in very good condition for its age showing normal wear and tear including staining inside the box and a very small nick on the back lid by the hinge. Pens not included.

The vintage pen box has three compartments and measures approximately 7 3/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inched wide by 1 1/8 inches deep.

Thorvald Marthinsen Norway silver spoons in the Dovre pattern, this lovely design has a hammered handle with a floral overlay design. This set of seven (7) small sterling silver spoons can be used for espresso or when using smaller coffee cups. They are sure to add an elegant touch your table.

The spoons are in very good vintage condition with a patina of age including some tarnish spots. Should you desire, a little polishing will bring these lovely spoons back to shining silver. I will leave that up to you, as some silver lovers prefer an aged patina.

Printed in Beijing by the Foreign Languages Press in 1967, this vintage copy of Quotations From Chairman Mao Tse Tung was produced for distribution to English speaking countries.

The small vintage book has a flexible red vinyl cover, an attached red ribbon bookmark, and a frontis portrait of Chairman Mao with a protective tissue paper overlay.

The vintage propaganda book is in good condition. The the front endpaper corner is torn, there is some crumpling to the back endpapers, and some underling in pencil. The pages are lightly toned from age.

When I found this charming unused circa 1900s antique Christmas postcard in a bin of miscellaneous correspondence at a book sale, it was like finding a buried treasure.

In exceptional condition for its antique age, the vintage Christmas card has a poinsettia motif, gold foil background and an inspirational quote, "A love large as life, deep and changeless as death," by Owen Meredith, aka Edward Robert Lytton Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Earl of Lytton, an English poet and statesman.

Published in 1964, this solid first edition in the English language is in good condition for its age showing typical signs of wear with small tears and chipping around the dust cover edges with some paper loss and toning to the paper. The dust jacket is price clipped and toned from age. The book's black cloth covered hardcover binding is in good condition with some wear at the base of the spine. There is a an old green ink Friends of Montclair Free Public Library book sale stamp on the front endpaper.

Vintage Christmas Scotch tape in round dispensers lithographed with the classic Scotch Brand tartan plaid would be cool additions to any holiday display.

The dispensers are marked "Minnesota Mining Co." which eventually came to be known as 3M.

The dispensers are in good condition. It's amazing that after approximately 60 years, the tape remains sticky to the touch, although it does not hold well. The dispensers are for display as the tape integrity has degraded over the years.

Each dispenser is approximately 1/2" in diameter.

Small, leather-bound New Testament Bible is the perfect size to fit into a pocket. The vintage New Testament has a worn leather cover and a gift inscription with a poem to its former owner:

This is a vintage book from the early 1940s. It shows wear and is in fair condition. The back hinge is broken and the spine is beginning to weaken. There are a few pencil notations in the book. The book would make a nice decor element in a religious display.
