This antique copy of Lord Byron Poems of Sentiment is very shabby chic, and comes with very interesting circa 1960s ephemera pasted and tucked into its pages. The vintage poetry collection would make a romantic gift or unique decor accent.
The vintage book is missing its title page and first page, but the frontis illustration indicates that the volume was published circa 1900 by George G. Harrap & Co in London. As the photographs show, the small poetry book has handwritten notes and newspaper clippings throughout its pages making it a very personal artifact. The clippings cover such diverse topics as bean bag chairs, the Hyla Crucifer tree toad, The New School for Social Research trustee appointment announcement from February 1962, Ponder This advice from Leonard Andrews, and a cartoon illustrating humanity and the atomic bomb.
The leather cover of this small book is quite tattered around the edges with some loss at the top of the spine. The antique book has gold gilt title lettering on the spine and a gold gilt design on the cover.
