Hard to find in such good condition, Dick Hamilton's Steam Yacht is a classic example of an early 20th century adventure book for boys. Written by Howard R. Garis, you may know him from his famous Uncle Wiggily stories, the antique book has a decorative cover with a young man on a dock observing a steam yacht.

Published in 1911, this is a genuine antique book not a recent reprint of this title. The vintage book shows age-appropriate wear from use and the passage of time including bumped corners and a bit of fraying, and toning to the pages. There is a gift inscription on the front endpaper written in pencil.

From a vintage Daisy Mfg Co's Rocket Target dart and pistol set, this amazing space race era metal game target has awesome rocket ship graphics. Manufactured in Plymouth, Michigan, the metal target illustrates several actual rockets of the era including the WAC Corporal V-2 rocket - the first research rocket developed in the United States, German A-9 Glider Rocket & V-1 Rocket, and Strato Jet.

This is a terrific space age vintage game piece for the collector and would make an amazing wall decor accent in a game room, man cave, or space themed room.

Blast off with Colonel Bleep!

This is no ordinary atomic age space travel guide advertising premium from the late 1950s, this is a rare bit of Colonel Bleep! ephemera.

Colonel Bleep was the first color cartoon made for television. Created by Robert D. Buchanan and illustrated by Joe Barbera, Colonel Bleep! aired as part of Uncle Bill's TV Club from 1957 to 1960.

Made of two pieces of cardboard, the vintage space age toy has an internal spinning wheel that rotates and reveals information on the planets in our solar system. The advertising premium has fabulous atomic era graphics including rocket ships, sputnik, outer space, as well as a graphic showing the relative size and diameter of space bodies compared to the earth.

The advertising toy was a premium for Table Queen Bread, a sponsor of Colonel Bleep! on WBRE-TV Channel 28 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The space travel guide is in good condition for its age showing typical age and use related wear. The cardboard is tanned with age with light soiling. The corners are not sharp. The most notable wear is on the "Table Queen Bread" side of the piece on the bottom right-hand corner where the guide was most likely held when in use. There is light pencil shading on Mars.

The space travel guide is marked "SA-132 Corp 1958 Specialty Advertising Service Inc. N.Y."

Cram's 12 inch celestial globe is a scarce find, and this one is in fine condition for its age. This beautiful star globe shows the night sky against a heavenly blue background. The constellation globe has a celestial equator, ecliptic, autumnal and vernal equinoctial colures as well as summer and winter solstitial colures.

The globe is made up of coated paper gores over a plastic sphere. Major and familiar constellations such as the Great Dipper, the Sickle, and Orion are highlighted in yellow outline.

This outstanding vintage celestial globe is one of the last made before the space race and NASA's modern astronomy technology changed what we knew about the night sky and our universe. The globe has a full metal meridian with degree marks and a time dial at the top.

The globe sits in a full-ring gold-tone metal wire frame cradle with a metal horizontal ring with a printed table of the time, months, zodiac signs, degrees, and compass marks.

This is a genuine vintage globe not a reproduction. The globe is in remarkably good condition for its age showing light evidence of wear and the passage of time including spots on the printed table label on the horizontal ring, wear on the gold-tone wire frame and the metal meridian.

The book should be handled carefully to prevent the cover from breaking from the book. The pages are tanned with age and there is some spotting and water stains at the edges of some pages. There are some small tears on the pages from page 447 - 451 that does not effect the readability of the text. Otherwise, the pages are clean. The binding is tight.

This vintage novelty globe is a curious retro find. The globe sphere is made up of individual pieces of paper edge printed with Jacques-Louis David's painting The Intervention of the Sabine Women (1799). It appears as though the paper sheets were intended to be used as a notepad. The paper globe has an acrylic lucite base and an a half-meridian frame with degree indications.

The globe is small. It has a 4-inch diameter and a 4-inch square lucite base. The globe is 7 3/4 inches tall including the stand and base, and has a "Crafted in Taiwan" label on the bottom.

Genuine vintage, expect typical wear including light scratches on the metal meridian and lucite base.

This set of Gay Fad Christmas angel glassware is a very rare vintage find. In its original Gay Fad Lancaster Ohio shipping box, with a Montgomery Ward shipping label, and U.S. postal stamps canceled in Baltimore, M.D. in 1953, the vintage Gay Fad glasses are in pristine, unused condition.

The set of eight frosted glass tumblers have fabulous hand-decorated Christmas angels with festive Xmas holiday designs including bells, stars, a candle, tree ornament, and a candy cane. Each glass has a Federal Glass "F" in a shield mark on the bottom.

The original cardboard mailing box is marked "gay fad lancaster ohio" along with the code "86/7467," "12 oz Xmas Angels," and "Hand Decorated Gay Fad Ceramic Hand Decorated Ware." The box shows typical signs of age and wear from the passage of time and storage. One top box flap is torn and one flap has small tears, dings, and scratches.

Wonder Books with washable covers were mainstay reading for the baby boomer generation. They were found in schools, doctor and dentist offices, libraries, and local bookshops. This marvelous vintage store display sign advertises Wonder Books at their 1950s price -- a mere 25 cents per title.

This genuine vintage sign is perfect for any decor, hang it in the nursery, child's room, office, man cave, or library.

Constructed out of rigid pressboard, the sign is in good vintage condition. It has some nicks, mostly around the edges, a few scratches, and soiling from hanging in a book shop and being in storage for many years.

Sign measures 22 inches long x 6 inches high.

Delicate and beautiful vintage Japanese Kutani bowl has a charming geisha scene with a bridge in the background. The vintage decorative bowl has a scalloped edge with a red border, red leaf design on the outside of the bowl, and contrasting cobalt blue and gold highlights on the geisha kimonos and background scenery.

The vintage Japanese bowl is hallmarked on the bottom in kanji characters.

Exhibiting a touch of the Japanese concept of wabi sabi, the Kutani ware bowl has some imperfections. There is a bit of wear on the red paint around the scalloped rim as show in photograph two, and there is a small chip on the underside of rim as shown in photograph three. The beautiful hand-painted bowl is lovely despite these flaws and shows well. The bowl is priced accordingly.

The dust jacket protected the gold-gilt title lettering and horse design on the brown cloth cover. Pages are clean. Binding is tight.

This vintage glove box has a lovely hand-painted floral design. Marked "Huyler's" on the bottom, the pink satin boudoir box might possibly have been a fancy container for Huyler's Chocolates. The vintage chocolate box has a note inside it written on the back of a scrap of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company letterhead, "glove box got about 1930."
