Full or narrow skirt, the choice is yours. This vintage Simplicity pattern gives you two classic early 1960s skirt options. The one-piece dress features an open bodice with contrasting dicky.

Condition: Pattern has been cut and used but is in excellent condition. Envelope is in good condition with yellowing consistent with age and crumpling at the corners. Pattern comes with its original sewing guide.

If you've never sewn from a vintage pattern before, please be aware that vintage clothing and pattern sizing varies greatly from contemporary sizing.

Threads Magazine (threadsmagazine.com), an online sewing publication, has wonderful information about how to use vintage sewing patterns. There is also a wealth of information on the internet about resizing vintage patterns for contemporary figures.

Heirloom quality edition of Childcraft's Poems Of Early Childhood, this special volume of poetry is packed with amazing illustrations from some of the most notable early to mid-20th century illustrators including Milo Winter, Willy Pogany, & Janet Laura Scott.

The book is a treasure trove of poetry and nursery rhymes. Poets include Robert Louis Stevenson, Hilaire Belloc, Christina Rossetti, & William Shakespeare, and many other writers of note.

Condition: Book is in very good condition. Decorative cover is clean. Spine is tight. There is some glue residue on the front and back endpapers, perhaps from a protective cover. Pages are clean.

Sometime in the late 1930s to early 1940s, this Art Deco athletic medal was presented to a H. Goldberg. The winged foot of Hermes indicates that the silver award was for a track event. Was he a runner, a sprinter, a jumper? We will never know. But this cool collectible medal looks as if it was never unpinned from its black velvet display board. The medal is attached to a faded light blue & white ribbon and has a blue enamel shield with the letters "EE." Could these letters stand for Epsilon Epsilon?

This would make an interesting gift for the track and field collegiate sportsman.

Condition: The medal is tarnished. It's possible that the medal is silver plated. Other than the engraved "H. Goldberg," it does not have any other markings. The pin clasp is an old-fashion c-clasp. The blue and white ribbon is faded. The black velvet display board is in very good condition.

Measurements: Display board measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4". The medal measures 1" x 3/4" not including the ribbon section.

How could you not think "Happy Thoughts" looking at this sweet antique postcard? Kittens, a perennially favorite motif, as appealing today as they were in 1910. Add these cool 100-year old cats to your collection.

In it's day, the postcard was the Twitter of it's time. A revolutionary idea that cropped up in several world locations in the mid-1800s, the concept of the postcard bears a remarkable similarity to our contemporary Twitter. Emanuel Herrmann, considered the person who championed the use of what was to become a popular method of communication, proposed his postcard idea to the Austrian postal service in 1869 through an article in the Neue Freie Presse, the leading Austrian newspaper (remember those?). These small plain cards without pictures or adornments were to have a 20-word limit including address and the sender's signature.

In 1861, U.S.A. postal service began allowing the posting of cards weighing an ounce or less for the cost of 1 cent within a 1000 mile delivery zone.

Postmarked on January 3, 1910 at 7 p.m. in Albion, Maine, this postcard was sent to Miss Eva Copeland from Ellen who wrote a note in pencil. The card is in excellent vintage condition. One corner is peeling up slightly.

Filled will technical information on radio & television tubes, batteries & parts, this RCA 1953 Reference Book is also a datebook journal with world maps and a section for addresses. In addition to the book's title, the red leatherette cover also bears the name of the company that distributed this copy: General Radio Supply Co. 600 Penn St. Camden 2, N.J.

The inside front endpaper has a diagram of RCA's Harrison, N.J. plant.

Add this cool piece of industrial history to your collection, or use it as a datebook or notebook.

Condition: Book is in very good condition. Pages are clean and unused. There is a small round residue from a price tag on the from cover.

A bundle of beautiful vintage upholstery fabric, this wonderful collection of high-quality textiles can be used in a multitude of sewing and crafting projects from quilting to collaging. The color range is in mauve to deep pink dusty rose family with brown and taupe contrasts. The bundle includes one piece of a heavy brown jacquard fabric (the one on the bottom of the pile in the first and fifth photographs.

This is a stunning group of textiles from the 1940s - early 1950s.

Condition: Very good to excellent condition. There are some stray marks and some fabric separation on the tone on tone jacquard (see fourth photograph).

This is a very old hand blown glass bird Christmas ornament. The tale told is that it belong to the grandmother of the woman whose estate was being sold.

A classic German holiday decoration, the silver bird has a spun glass tail. His legs are springs attached to a metal clip.

This delicate antique shows its age. His silvered paint is worn as is his pink chest coloration. His body is almost translucent. His spun glass tail is in very good condition. Clip works but is a little bent. There is no markers mark.

Measurements: 7" long including tail; 3 1/2" high.

Size 8 1/2 vintage woven ecru linen Bonwit Teller "Venus" t-straps are the perfect summer shoes for the office, special occasion, or whenever you want to wear sophisticated footwear. Fine handmade craftsmanship make this a pair of shoe that you will have for years to come.

The shoes are in remarkable condition. The fine leather soles are virtually new. The linen has "rusted" a bit in places, and there is a very small black mark on the left shoe. The spot is so close to the sole that it is barely noticeable when worn. The spot and rusting may come out with cleaning. I will leave this up to you and a good shoe marker. The size and department store code are hand written on the inside of the strap.

For generations of kids across the United States, Highlights for Children, proclaiming "fun with a purpose," eased anxiety and conquered the boredom of waiting in doctor and dentist offices.

This stack of baby boomer nostalgia contains 13 hardcover Highlights from January 1961 to December 1961 (missing April 1961) and January 1963 to November 1963 (Missing May 1963 and October 1963).

The volumes are in good vintage condition for their age. Four of them have spots on their covers from where price tags where peeled away. Most pages have signs of aging around the edges. Spines are tight.

Vintage metal plaid Scotch tape dispensers hold green, red, & gold Christmas holiday gift tape. Dubbed a "humble masterpiece" by the New York Museum of Modern Art, the Scotch tape dispenser truly is an awesome design.

These vintage Scotch tape dispensers date from the 1950s. In addition to the Scotch tape hallmark tartan plaid, the two of the dispensers have a decorative star motif. The dispensers are in excellent shape, and after approximately 60 years, the tape remains sticky to the touch.

The dispensers are marked "Minnesota Mining Co." which eventually came to be known as 3M.

Each dispenser is approximately 2 5/8" long x 1 5/8" x 5/8" deep.

Condition: The dispensers are in excellent shape. It's amazing that after approximately 60 years, the tape remains sticky to the touch although it does not hold well. The dispensers are for display as the tape integrity has degraded over the years.

Tiny pink plastic Scottie dog, this sweet miniature terrier charm was in a vintage "grab bag" at an estate sale with items mostly from the 1950s & 1960s.

I have no idea where this Scottish Terrier came from, but he sure is tiny and he sure is cute. He could be from a piece of jewelry, from a Cracker Jack box, or he may be a game piece. He may be a button, or he could be a toy.

He is molded from hard plastic, you can see the mold lines, and has a hole going through him. He is in very good condition. He can easily be hung on a chain or silk cord and worn as a charm.

7/8" long x 3/4" tall x 3/8" deep.

Vintage German bisque cat and mouse matchstick holder, this old shoe has lots of charm. A cute kitty chases after a tiny white mouse which is poking its head out of the boot's toe.

Made to hold matchsticks, a cat and mouse in a shoe was a popular motif back in the late 19th - early 20th century for this utilitarian household item.

The piece is in good vintage condition, but please note the chip near the front of the boot's edge. The shoe is marked "Germany" on the bottom.

Antique letterpress printer's block, this copper engraved photograph portrait of a man has a haunting look. The man's eyes seem to stare right at you.

The copperplate portrait is mounted on a wood block. The plate is very old, and shows wear. There is a scratch just below the mid-point of the portrait. Fortunately, it doesn't effect the fellow's face.

Someone wrote in script with pencil along one side of the wooden block. I can't make out what it says. Perhaps it's the gentleman's name? The number "1" in a circle is written on the opposite side.

The copper has a wonderful patina.
