The glossy magazine-type catalog has 318 pages and includes a handy index.

The catalog is in remarkable condition, but it does show wear mostly around the edges and at the top and bottom of the spine. The cover has a few small tears most notably on the front cover bottom edge. The pages are clean.

The cover of this vintage Bellas Hess mail order catalog is truly amazing, capturing the bustle of the New York City just before the stock market crash of 1929 which led to the Great Depression. The scene is a hive of activity centered on Times Square. The street is filled with automobiles and trolley cars. The sidewalks are filled with people. There are planes and a blimp flying in the air space, and American flags waving in the breeze.

Open the vintage catalog, and you'll find the latest roaring 20s fashions, including women's dress, shoes, men's clothing, children's clothing, coats for the entire family, furs, glove, boots & shoes, hats, watches, toys, fabric, bedding, general household items, beauty products, and more. The large-format catalog is a terrific 1920s resource.

The catalog is in acceptable condition for its age. It was not printed on high-quality paper. The paper is tanned with lots of small tears at the edges. The cover shows wear particularly at the edges with rips, creases, tears and paper loss. The spine shows wear with paper loss. Please note the damage at the bottom of the spine and front cover. Binding is tight.

There are cuttings taken from pages 19, 20, 21, 22, 60, & 61.

There are also a number of finely cut illustrations, mostly men and a few woman, that do not appear to have been clipped from this particular catalog (see photograph 5).

During the 1950s & 1960s, the space race captivated our imaginations, and outer space imagery became a ubiquitous motif on toys, housewares, fabrics, and a myriad number of decorative items.

Sealed in its original packaging, this vintage educational card game is a rare find from the space age era. The box lid has an amazing outer space graphic with two rocket ships orbiting around the earth. The space age graphic is repeated on the back of each game card.

It's the perfect gift for the collector of outer space toys and games!

The box shows shelf wear with some rubbing and scratches to the cover graphic. Three of the corners are split, but the heavy cardboard box holds together well. The original cellophane wrap is beginning to tear at the bottom right hand-side corner.

Pewter clown thimble, at least I think it is a thimble, as it came in a lot of vintage thimbles and it functions as a thimble, would be a neat gift for the thimble collector or clown lover.

The thimble is marked "1985" on one of the clown's collar ruffles along with the remains of a copyright mark that is mostly worn away. The used thimble is in good condition showing light wear.

An interesting handwritten accounting journal chronicles a French household's expenses from January 1912 through April 1914. There are references and expense logs for many accoutrements of daily life including allumettes (matches), cadeau fête (festival gifts), costume de bain (bathing suit), eau de cologne, livres (books), fleurs (flowers), blouses, savon (soap) and more. There are numerous notations for "washing" which appears to be a reference for laundry. There are also many personal names noted in the journal.

The diary is bound in burgundy leather with hand-marbled endpapers and page edges and is in good condition for its age. There is a shop sticker on the back endpaper from Boyard-Obert a fournitures de bureau (office supply shop) in Le Harve.

This vintage metal SRG caveman statue would make the ultimate man cave gift for your husband, boyfriend, brother, or any other special man on your holiday gift list.

Made from metal coated with bronze, this awesome vintage caveman statue is in good condition showing minimal wear. The caveman figure is 2 3/4" tall and is clearly marked "SRG47" on the back.

SRG (Sell Rite Gifts) made a full line of cast metal dinosaur and prehistoric toy figurines from 1947 until about 1955. The miniature metal figurines were sold at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and other natural history museum across the United States.

Originally made as children's toys, the SRG dinosaurs in my shop are being sold as display pieces and collectibles for adults as the vintage toys most likely do not meet current toy safety standards.

Issued in 1943, the vintage World War 2 homefront poster is a rare smaller-size version of Couillard's poster measuring 14 inches by 10 inches.

This is a genuine 1940s wartime era lithograph poster not a recent reproduction. Found folded in its original mailing envelope along with 6 other war bond posters, the poster was never hung and is in very good condition.

Molded from gold plastic, the astronaut stands on a detailed half moon base showing the lunar landscape including the Sea of Serenity, Sea of Tranquility, Sea of Rains, Sea of Clouds, and Oceans of Storms. The toy coin bank is in very good, unused vintage condition. There is a coin slot at the top of the spaceman's backpack. The vintage bank does not have a release hole and was designed to be broken when full.

The astronaut bank has a sticker on the bottom with facts about the moon. The sticker is partially torn away.

A rare find and an incredible document of mortuary science, this Professional Embalmer Magazine dates from 1933. Filled with articles and advertising for embalming equipment and supplies, as well as other funeral related services, the vintage magazine is a treasure trove of morbid curiosity.

Unique vintage miniature moon globe would make a special gift or decor accent in your home or office. Made of metal, the small moon globe is set on a heavy brass base making it ideal for use as a paperweight. The base is ringed with Roman numerals.

The mini globe shows a detailed map surface with various topographical features of the moon landscape indicated in red and black lettering.

The moon globe and the base may not be original to each other and appear to have been put together by a previous owner. The moon is secured to the base with a rusted bolt that can no longer be fully tightened thus giving you the ability to rotate the moon on the base.

The vintage metal globe shows light surface wear and has a small dent near the Democritus crater.

The miniature moon globe has approximately a 1 1/2" diameter and stands about 2 3/4" tall on its base.

Modern Life Speller is a vintage children's school book with a charming decorative cover showing airplanes flying over a cityscape with radio towers emitting radio waves into the sky. The cool cover would make a fun display in a classroom, nursery, or kid's room.

Published in 1936 by the World Book Company, this is the teacher examination version not the student edition. The book shows some dust soiling on the cover, light shelf wear, and paper tanning from age, but does not appear to have been used in a classroom. The vintage book comes with a Modern-Life Speller flyer which explains the teaching method.

Sweet peas, a long-time garden favorite, are the star of this antique gardening book. The slender volume has a decorative cover with a beautiful lithograph print of sweet peas. The cover is so pretty, you'll want to put it on display.

Vintage Eagle Poise 1256 pen holder counter display from the 1930s has its original calligraphy nib pens intact. The bright array of colorful painted wood penholders makes an amazing display.

The advertising counter display was never used, and is in amazing condition for its age. There are some age spots, soiling, and minor creasing, but the colors are vibrant. The die cut cardboard display has an easel hinge in the back for standing on a counter. The display holds its original dozen (12) Eagle Poise 1256 pens -- four red, four blue, four green, & four yellow. The pens are new old stock. Each pen has prong fitting at the end for the insertion of a nib, and is marked "1256 Eagle Poise U.S.A."

Display measures 12 inches x 8 inches.

Vintage world map cigarette box with a Phinney Walker travel alarm clock would look great on your coffee table, on your office desk, or night stand.

The box and clock are in very good condition. The box has a black plastic base. The world map is embedded in the lucite lid. There is some discoloration on the clock's metal frame (see photograph 4). Tested for a 24-hour period, the clock kept time and the alarm rang as set. Please note that this is a genuine vintage clock that may need cleaning or servicing for it to continue to keep time. The clock face is labeled "Phinney Walker" and marked "Germany." The clock is marked "Semca Clock Co, Inc. Germany" on the back.

Box measures 7 7/8 inches long x 4 5/16 wide x 1 1/2" deep.

Percival's Progressive Prestidigitation: A Little of Everything that is Good in Magic, self published by the magician Henry S. Percival in 1911, is a rare find.

The small pamphlet contains instructions for all sorts of magic tricks including Unique Levitation, Vulcans Bubbles, Mango Growth, Go and Come Coin, Ring on Any Finger, Hindoo Beans, Devil's Supper, Lady From Hat, and many more.

The small booklet has a charming red card stock cover with images of devils, dice, playing cards, bats, and a skull. The cover art work is signed "Conran" on the bottom left-hand side corner of the image. There is an ad page at the back of the pamphlet with advertisements for American Magician magazine, The Bamberg Magic and Novelty Co, and B.L.Z Bub Vanishing Glass of Ink.

This is an original copy of Percival's Progressive Prestidigitation, not a reprint. The pamphlet is over 100 years old and shows wear including nicks and creases on the cover, fading of the red card stock back cover and spine, small tear at the bottom of spine, light tanning of the pages and other general signs of wear. The stapled binding is in good condition.
