Christmas Scotch Brand tapes in round dispensers lithographed with the classic Scotch Brand tartan plaid would be cool additions to any holiday display.

After approximately 60 years, the red and blue with silver snowflake tapes remain sticky to the touch, although the tape does not hold very well.

The dispensers are marked "Minnesota Mining Co." which eventually came to be known as 3M.

Measurements: Each dispenser is approximately 1/2" in diameter.

Condition: The dispensers are in excellent shape. Its amazing that after approximately 60 years, the tape remains sticky to the touch, although it does not hold well. The dispensers are for display as the tape integrity has degraded over the years.

Instant collection of 12 spools of darning cotton & silk mending thread including thread from J. P. Coats, Belding Corticelli, Belding Heminway, & Woolco.

The various size spools and shades of brown and beige make for a very pleasing display. The threads are also useable.

Spool sizes range from a mere 1/2" to 1 1/2". Some spools are plastic, some are wood, and the large J.P. Coats spools are cardboard.

Condition: Thread and spools are in very good vintage condition.

This is the coolest vintage wood souvenir plate from Holland. A white plastic goose floats within a hand painted rustic Dutch cottage scene securely anchored to a little ledge. It gives a fabulous, and very kitschy, 3-D effect.

A sweet little bit of Netherlands folk art, the wooden plate is marked "Hand Painted Made in Holland" and has a metal hook for hanging. The original price and the year "1954" are written on the back in pencil.

No. 15 in the popular Stratemeyer Syndicate's The Happy Hollisters series (1953 -1970), The Mystery of the Totem Face takes the family to Alaska. Intrigue, mayhem, and fun ensue.

Written by Andrew E. Svenson under the pseudonym Jerry West, Svenson also wrote for the Hardy Boys and Bobbsey Twins series. What makes The Happy Hollister series unique is that Svenson based the characters on his own children and family life.

The book is charmingly illustrated by Helen S. Hamilton with a family camping scene on the end papers and blue drawings throughout depicting the family's exciting adventures.

Publisher: Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, N.Y. Part of the Doubleday Young Readers Series.

Book is in good condition. It's obvious that it has been read several times or more. The dust jacket is chipped and creased and there is a worn spot on the cover perhaps were a price sticker was peeled away. The book has a lovely red cloth binding with an illustration of the the 5 Hollister children running hand-in-hand. There are two small puncture holes the size of pencil points on the spine.

1, 2 I love you! A sweet little rhyme with a big message.

This vintage 1970s typography specimen would make a really neat and unique Valentine's Day card.

Long ago before advent of digital computer graphics, designers would literally cut and paste typeface and images and layout the printing designs by hand. This loose-leaf letter font sample sheet showcases Normande Italic typeface.

Taken from Comp/Type Inc's 1970 Photo Lettering Photo Composition Catalog, this loose-leaf sheet can be framed, used in scrapbooking or other paper crafts, or simply tacked on a bulletin board.

The reserve side of the sheet shows the classic Abbie Hoffman quote "Today is the first day of the rest of your life" in Orator font.

Please note that the loose-leaf binder shown in photograph 3 is not included in the listing and is shown for reference only.

Measurements: 8 1/2" x 11"

Condition: Loose-leaf sheet is in very good vintage condition.

Vintage Jacquard upholstery fabric sample, this heavy weight textile has great texture and an almost quilted look. The tone on tone dusty rose floral pattern has a classic 1940s feel. The swatch is big enough to make a large throw pillow.

Condition: The right side of the fabric is in excellent vintage condition with no spots or tears. The reverse side of the fabric has some minor discoloration on some of the fold lines (please see photograph 3).

Measurements: 47" x 25"

Content: There is no indication of the fabric's content. My guess is that it is a cotton.

You'll want to make multiple versions of this retro early 1960s one-piece dress, one with 3-quarter sleeves for spring, short sleeves for summer, a flared skirt, and a straight skirt.

Pattern comes with its original "Simplicity Primer" guide for cutting and sewing.

Condition: Pattern is partially cut and has been used, but is in very good vintage condition. Pattern envelope is also in very good condition with some small tears and crumpling at the edges.

Gold, orange and black form a beautiful Florentine design on this gorgeous vintage leather wallet. Although unmarked, the wallet is of the type typically purchased in Italy as souvenirs from upscale leather shops in Florence.

The wallet snaps open revealing a metal-framed kiss closure change purse on one side and two compartments on the other. There is also a billfold section.

Condition: The wallet appears to have never been used. It has it's original tissue paper stuffing in the change purse section.

Measurements: Approximately 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" closed; Approximately 7" x 5 1/2" open.

Should be "Everything is beautiful in its own way." No contraction needed in this case. Anyway, this is a cool 1970s typography font sample for Fortune Bold. Use it in a craft or scrapbooking project, or hang it up as is.

Vintage American flags with 48 stars, display these grand old parade flags separately, or as a "bouquet" for a very unique and patriotic July 4th centerpiece.

These circa 1940s flags are mounted on wooden flagstaffs with decorative golden finials. In excellent condition, the flags have no holes, rips, or fraying. The fabric is very silky, but I'm guessing it's cotton.

This beautifully illustrated edition of Japanese Fairy Tales has a decorative binding that is not in such great shape. However, this delightful vintage book has eight gorgeous yellow, orange, black & white illustrations by Ruth McCrea. Each one of these illustrations is worthy of framing.

Vintage 1930s German creche display has a rustic wood stable, chalkware baby Jesus, wooden manger, and paper mache Mary & Joseph figures. This set could be the start of your vintage Christmas nativity or putz village display.

Condition: The stable is in very good vintage condition. The manger is in good condition in that it is not missing any of its parts. The manger is constructed from 4 pieces of wood with slots that fit together. The glue that secures the side slots to the base has come apart on one side. The piece needs to be re-glued for stability. I will leave this repair up to you. Baby Jesus is in good condition with some chipping on his halo. Mary is in very good condition. There is some separation at her base and some crackling on her paint. Joseph has a chip on his nose but otherwise is in good condition. Mary & Joseph are marked "Germany" on the bottom

Meaurements:
The stable is large measuring approximately 8 1/4" tall x 9 3/4" wide x 6" deep. Mary and Joseph are about 4" tall. Baby Jesus is 2" long.

Vintage Fred Sweney "Fins & Feathers" double playing card set in its original plastic case -- this is indeed a rare find.

Printed by Brown & Bigelow, an advertising speciality company founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1896, this double set of playing cards with bird and fish designs comes in a red plastic case with clear plastic cover with "Ell-Bee Chemical Co." printed in gold letters. The set includes a folded notecard with a deer in the woods illustration and a brief description of Sweney & his art.

Known for his detailed and accurate wildlife art, Fred Sweney's illustrations appeared in Field & Stream, National Geographic, among other publications. A graduate of the Cleveland School of Art, he taught illustration for over 25 years at the Ringling School of Art & Design.

Condition: The plastic case is in very good condition and is hallmarked "Remembrance Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn. U.S.A." The card decks are sealed in their original cellophane packages with tax stamps intact. There are several tears in the cellophane. Notecard is in very good condition.

Measurements: Case measures 5" x 4 1/8" x 1 1/8"; Playing Card Decks measure 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 5/8".

Missing a wise man? Add this vintage Christmas nativity figure to you set and complete (or start) your wisemen trio? This creche figurine is made out of paper mache and is marked "Germany" on the bottom.

Condition: Wise man is in good condition for a 60+ year old paper mache figurine. The paint is beginning to crackle on the hand thats on his hip. He has a at the base of his robe and a few flea bites.

Measurements: Approximately 6 1/2" tall; 2 1/2" wide; 2 1/8" deep.
