Rare old school book is slim in size yet packed with information on proper pronunciation and using the dictionary to determine correct English elocution. The antique textbook covers phonetics, accent, and frequently mispronounced words.

Published n 1915, this small vintage textbook is in good condition for its age. The cover shows sight wear at the corners. There is a library book plate from the Illinois State Normal University pasted to the front endpaper. Paper shows tanning from age. Pages are clean. Paper is supple. Binding is tight.

The Scale Queen's sleek modern machine age design makes this sought-after collectible postal scale both an industrial sculpture and functional office tool. Made from highly polished machined aluminum, the metal scale is a work of modern art. The aluminum scale sits on a heavy black plastic base.

Designed, patented, and manufactured by Thompson Engineering & Manufacturing Company, this fine example of the Scale Queen combination postal scale and paperweight comes in its original cardboard box along with the manufacture's direction sheet. The vintage letter scale has a circa 1950s postal rate guide on the bottom and weighs from 0 to 8 ounces.

The vintage scale paperweight is in good condition for its age showing age appropriate wear from use and the passage of time. The aluminum has a nice patina. The base has a very slight nick on the underside that does not show when the scale is on display. The original cardboard box is intact but has a puncture hole on the top and considerable wear around the edges.

This antique library paste jar has a cool industrial chic look that would be equally at home in a vintage-themed office supply grouping or as an accent piece in a modern loft.

Although the jar has no makers marks, the design fits closely with patent No. 675,972 assigned to Carter's Ink Company in 1901. The paste jar has its original hard black plastic resin lid which has a brush attached to its underside. The antique paste jar is missing its glass paste pot insert.

DMC Library Stitch Marking Series No.1 is filled with alphabet font letters suitable for monograming or other embroidery and needlework design ideas. The fold-out booklet also has designs for decorative borders, a train, dirigible blimp, hot air balloon, a ship, race car, fishing scene, and bicyclists.

This antique fold-out booklet is well over 100 years old. The leaflet shows signs of wear including light soiling and splitting along the crease lines.

Long, black, & elegant, this vintage cigarette holder has a classic Art Deco leaf design at is core. Dating from the late 1920s, the vintage cigarette holder is the perfect accessory for a flapper costume or 1920s inspired outfit.

The cigarette holder unscrews into three parts as shown in photographs nine & ten. The cigarette holder is made of a molded dense hard plastic. The center piece appears to be carved plastic with a gold overlay. This decorative section has a slight warp to it as shown (perhaps from being held at that point by a previous owner?). The cigarette holder shows light wear and is in good condition with the warping noted.

Vintage photographs make interesting wall decor in a home, office, or workshop. This black & white panoramic group shot shows the cast and supporting crew for the Montclair Operetta Club's 1950 production of "The Song of Norway."

This old photo is an original print not a reproduction. The panorama group picture measures approximately 19 1/4 inches long by 8 1/4 inches.

The vintage photo is in good condition. There are few brown spots and pin holes at the corners. There is a slight curling at the edge of the long photograph.

I have another panoramic group photograph from the Montclair Operatta company, "The New Moon" produced November 1949. Interested in both vintage photos? Let me know and I'll put together a package deal.

Vintage Vera Neumann blouse from the 1980s complete with shoulder pads and original tags is a wonderful example of the company's use of color. The color blocks pop to a very pleasing effect against a gray background.

The top has its original Vera tag with a plug for Woolite, a Vera ladybug label, and a "Crafted with Pride in U.S.A." tag. Created by magnate Roger Milliken in the early 1980s, the "Crafted with Pride" campaign was an effort to raise awareness of the dwindling textile & garment industry jobs in the U.S.A, and an attempt to get citizens to buy American.

Pair this cool blouse with jeans or a formal skirt for a radical vintage look.


This Vera shirt is in excellent condition. The blouse is clean and ready to wear. The polyester is very silky with a wonderful drape.

The blouse has a size 12 label and the following measurement taken flat.

Trio of vintage glass Christmas ornaments made in Poland in the 1940s will bring a lovely sparkle to your tree. Made of hand blown glass, the teardrop ornaments are decorated with white mica flakes. One ornament has red stripes with silver, another has gold, blue, & dark pink stripes, and the third one has gold, dark pink, & sea foam green stripes.

Each ornaments has a metal cap for hanging. Two of the caps are marked "Poland."

The ornaments are in good vintage condition showing typical wear including scratches, oxidation marks, and light soiling.

Ornaments are approximately 4 1/4 inches long with a 2 1/2 inch diameter.

Children Love Wonder Books!

Wonder Books with washable covers were mainstay reading for the baby boomer generation. They were found in schools, doctor and dentist offices, libraries, and local bookshops. This marvelous vintage store display sign advertises Wonder Books at their 1950s price -- a mere 25 cents per title.

This genuine vintage sign is perfect for any decor, hang it in the nursery, child's room, office, man cave, or library.

Constructed out of rigid pressboard, the sign is in good vintage condition. It has some nicks, mostly around the edges, a few scratches, and soiling from hanging in a book shop and being in storage for many years.

Sign measures 22 inches long x 6 inches high.

Antique Japanese porcelain box from the late Meiji early Taisho period (circa 1910s) has a delicate hand-painted floral design. The small decorative trinket box can be used on a dresser for jewelry or as an elegant and practical organizer for small items on an office desk.
