Beautiful example of California pottery made by Wade of California in the 1960s. The fabulous modern spiral shape is predominantly avocado green with swirls of mint green.

Originally intended as an ashtray, the dish can be used to serve tidbits or candies. Imagine it filled with orange goldfish crackers!

The bowl is in very good vintage condition. No cracks. No chips.

Wade Ceramics produced pottery in North Hollywood between 1965 and 1967. This piece is marked "Wade of Calif. U.S.A." along with the number "700."

Dish measures approximately 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" at its widest points and stands 1 1/2" high.

Impressive vintage wooden eagle wall plaques are carved from beautiful old pieces of wood. The wood eagles are finished with a light vanish that lets the beauty of the reclaimed wood shine through. You can clearly see the tree rings which naturally add texture and interest to the eagle carvings.

These are vintage wooden wall plaques from the 1970s. They were hanging on a wall in a living for many years. They are in good condition but do show typical signs of age with a few light scuffs.

The eagles are large measuring approximately 18 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches at their wides point.

Decorative vintage book set of philosophy classics includes works by Karl Marx, Tom Paine, & Voltaire. Published by Carlton House, New York in the 1940s, these blue and red cloth bound volumes have gold gilt lettering and decoration on their spines. The set is perfect for library decor and/or for serious reading.

The books are in good condition but they do show age and use related wear including bumped corners and a bit of fraying on the tops and bottoms of the spines. Pages are tanning from age and there is some underlining. Previous owners wrote his name and date on front endpapers. Tom Paine and Karl Marx volumes include related newspaper clippings.

Super rare vintage world globe pencil sharpener made in Germany circa 1910 has an unusual novelty base with a hooded robed woman holding up the earth and a man kneeling at her feet.

Made out of metal, the miniature globe has a lithographed world map with simplified country boundaries and designations.

This is a very old, antique globe pencil sharpener that shows a deep patina of age and signs of use and wear. The surface of the world globe is well worn. The world globe can be turned, although I'm not sure if this was originally so. The vintage pencil sharpener is being sold as a display piece not as working sharpener. The pencil sharpening device is loose and I have not tested it to see if it works for fear it would break off inside the globe.

Despite these flaws, this is a rare and collectible world globe that would make a unique gift or addition to any globe collection.

This curious & brief Catholic religious pamphlet published by The Queen's Work, presents a discussion of the concept of scruples in an interview format with Francis J. O'Boyle , S.J. & Daniel A. Lord, S.J.

The "scruples" these Jesuits speak of in the context of this interview are what we would call today obsessions and compulsions or OCD. Before the development of modern psychology, such mental health issues fell under the jurisdiction of the church, and were referred to as religious melancholy, and tagged as "scruples" in 1660 by Jeremy Taylor, Bishop of Down and Connor, Ireland.

The booklet is in fair condition with the back cover separated from the stapled binding as shown in the photographs. Pages are clean.

Invented in 1901 by A.J. Patterson, Flinch is a perennial favorite card game. This antique 1913 addition of the card game is complete and comes in its original box along with its original instruction sheet.

Born in 1934, the Dionne quintuplets became a world-wide sensation and product publicity opportunity with millions of tourists visiting their Canadian compound to watch the girls play.

The Carltonware silver-plate spoon set includes Cecile, Emilie, & Yvonne Dionne. The vintage spoons can be used, displayed, or repurposed into crafts such as rings.

Rare first edition copy of Frederick Kohner's classic book of a California teenage surfer girl. Based on his own daughter, and written in the first person in her voice, Gidget captured the hearts of a generation. The concept of Gidget the surfer girl went on to became a huge commercial success as a movie and television series.

This is a true first edition copy of Gidget with the original subtitle on the cover "The Little Girl with Big Ideas" which was dropped from later editions. The dust jacket is unclipped and is in good condition showing wear around the edges with some small tears and small areas of paper loss. The book is clean. The binding is tight.

This slim volume of Albert Einstein's Essays in Science contains big ideas. Published by the Philosophical Library, the vintage science book is an abridged version of Einstein's The World as I See It.

Vintage books make great decor accents in the home or office, and wonderful gifts.

The vintage book is in good condition showing typical signs of wear including tanning to the pages and light wear the cover edges. Previous owner wrote his name and date on the front endpaper, pasted at the back a statement regarding Einstein's ideas on science and religion, and underlined a few passages in red pencil.
