Vintage Satellite Spin Away game by Consolidated Toy Mfg comes with all its game pins and two-part spinning top. The game board has cool atomic age cold war era graphics with rockets launching from earth towards Sputnik-like satellites.

The vintage toy comes with its original game box lid that instructs the players to "Place pins in orbits -- spin top to get score.

This vintage game would make a great decor accent in your office or man cave. It's sure to be a conversation piece. The game board is lithographed on sturdy cardboard and nailed onto the back of a 1 3/4 inch deep wooden frame.

The game is old, dating from the late 1950s - early 1960s, and shows signs of wear and tear. There is some soiling on the game board surface. The wooden game pins show wear including scuffs and scratches. The white pins show soiling from age. The two-part top is a bit tricky to put together -- you have to line up the small metal piece on the red wooden part of the top with one of the holes on the metal portion and twist the red part until it clicks it, but the top works. Photograph four shows the top in action.

The vintage game's box top is in good condition for its age. It shows fading and soiling and one corner is broken.

Vintage magician trick kit for children is graphically beautiful and very charming. Published in 1958 by Saalfield, The Young Magician's Box of Tricks contains seven different magic tricks in one set.

The original box is in poor condition having been crushed at some point. All four corners of both the box top and box bottom are broken. It is remarkable that the cover graphic remains vibrant and all but one piece of all seven magic tricks are present, in fact, some of the magic tricks show remarkably little wear considering the condition of the box.

The magic trick set includes five (5) cardboard sheets with seven (7) cardboard punch out magic trick components. The magic kit includes:

An amazing document of a vanished time, this circa 1900s souvenir photography album of Köhn and the Rhein shows the city and surrounding area untouched by modernization and the devastation of World War II.

The streets scenes capture city life, showing the marketplace, monuments, gardens, shops, and churches. The large-format photography book also has a beautiful fold-out panorama photograph of the city. The hardcover red cloth binding has a beautiful gold gilt Art Nouveau floral motif with the shields of the city and the Dom. The book has a lovely Art Nouveau design endpaper.

This is an antique book published circa 1904. The book is in very good condition showing wear at the top and bottom of the spine and along the cover edges, particularly the lower edge. Previous owner wrote the names of family members along with dates:

Bright and cheery in shades of yellow & green, with a dash of dark blue, this vintage crochet afghan is a stunner. Handmade back in the 1970s, the blanket was crocheted with acrylic yarn in a variety of stitch patterns.

Handmade vintage textiles remind me of the continuity between generations. Forty years or so ago, someone took the time to make a blanket for her family. She most likely learned the stitches she used to make the afghan from her mother or grandmother, who learned the stitches from her mother, and on it goes back into history. Crochet is an ancient art and this afghan is a fine 1970s example of that art.

Made from sturdy and warm yarn, this blanket is in good vintage condition. No holes, tears or fading.

Discovered in a box of antique photographs taken in Berlin and other Germany locales in the late 1800s, this set of carte de visite shows a buxom woman staring directly at the camera. She wears a beautifully detailed blouse, black skirt, and a wedding ring. It is very unusual to come across three identical carte de visite that were never circulated.

The cards are in amazingly good condition for their age. They show some minor surface wear including scratches, rubs, as well as a few photograph printing flaws. Each sepia photograph is mounted on heavy brown card stock marked with gilt engraving indicating the photography studio - Samsond & Co Berlin, which was located at Turmstr. 76a Frankfurter Allee 113.

As the cards were hand cut, they are not quite identical in size and measure approximately 5 1/4" x 2 1/2". The sepia prints would look amazing displayed together in a triple frame.

Carte de visite were invented in Paris by André Adolphe Eugène Disdéri in 1854. He also developed a method of producing eight separate negatives on one plate making it easier to produce multiple cards of an identical image. Carte de visite became all the rage with wealthy city dwellers in the late 1880s, and were traded among friends and relatives.

First published in 1909, Games for Playground, Home, School, and Gymnasium written by Jessie H. Bancroft, Assistant Director of Physical Training in The New York Public Schools, gives an interesting insight into the era before electronic games and the Internet when children spent time out doors playing a wide variety of games.

The volume has a beautiful decorative cover suitable for decor and can be displayed in a child's room, nursery or game room.

The book is in very good condition. It comes with its original paper dust jacket which although torn at the top, has protected the decorative cover and binding. The binding is tight and the pages are clean. The front right-hand side endpaper has an ink stamped name of a previous owner, "Wm. L Buchner."

Included with the book are two typed sheet of bible study questions and ten small hand-written slips of paper with biblical names on them.

The book covers games for each age and grade level, brief historical information, how to select teams and who is "it," singing games, ball games, active games, quiet games, camp games, and more. The book is filled with line drawing illustrations and diagrams as well as photographs.

If you owned this antique globe pencil sharpener, you could hold the whole world in your hand. Made in Germany circa 1914, the miniature transfer painted steel globe has a simplified version of the World's political boundaries at the start of World War I.

This cool antique globe would make a unique graduation gift or photography prop.

Globe shows Congo State, Turkish Empire, Persia, Russian Empire, Chinese Empire, Pedersburg (St. Petersburg).

The small globe is in good condition for its age showing a scratches, soiling, paint loss, and a small dent in the Hudson Bay. Colors are vibrant. The metal sharpener works well.

The antique pencil sharpener is Marked "Germany" on the bottom metal base and
"Made in Germany" just above the South Pole.

This is a beautiful first edition copy of Stephen Powers's Afoot and Alone; A Walk From Sea to Sea by the Southern Route; Adventures and Observations in Southern California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Etc. This interesting and important rare book chronicles Powers's 3,556 miles walk from Raleigh, North Carolina to San Francisco, California.

Published in 1872 by the Columbian Book Company, this antique book is a rare find. The volume has 30 wood-cut engravings including several by the artist True W. Williams.

This is a solid book in very good condition for its age. The bottom cover corners are bumped and a bit frayed, but over all the cover is in great shape with just some light soiling. The gold gilt cover illustration of a traveller is in very good condition. There are a few brown spots on the title page's protective tissue overlay, some light foxing on pages 314 & 315, and a few spots here and there throughout the book. Binding is tight. Text block is square.
