Colorful vintage world globe attributed to J. Chein, the tin toy maker, has a full meridian with degree marks, a time dial at the top, and a base indicating the seasons, months, and the zodiac signs. The vintage globe shows the path of the Graf Zeppelin flight of 1929, and has mileage indicators along major trade routes.

This scarce metal globe dates from the early 1930s. The lithograph colors are bright. The globe is in good condition showing age appropriate wear including dings, scratches and some paint loss. There are two dents in the globe, a small one in the Pacific Ocean and a larger one (best seen in photograph five on the right-hand side) below Japan.

The toy globe has a 7 inch diameter, and is 9 inches wide including the meridian. The small globe stands approximately 12 inches tall including the meridian.

Let not your heart be troubled, John 14:1

This antique Bible verse sign is a rare find. The pressed cardboard sign is embossed with a Bible quote, and has a religious print depicting Jesus comforting a follower. The print is surrounded by beautiful embossed and hand-colored lily of the valley flowers. Dating from approximately the 1920s, the sign has a burgundy flocked finished on the front and its original cord at the top for easy hanging on a wall.

The antique sign is in good condition. There is some wear and rubbing to the flocking, wear around the edges, and light staining on the reverse side. Sign is marked "Made in U.S.A. No 5390."

The antique religious plaque measures 13 inches by 6 1/2 inches.

Stop staring at me!

This vintage eye model will have everyone staring at it. Made in Germany by Somso, the famous anatomy model maker, the eye is a work of art. Somso models are individually hand assembled, and painted with exacting detail and anatomical accuracy. The science model is sturdy and in great condition. The anatomy model comes apart revealing the inner structure of the eye.

From the estate of an ophthalmologist, the model eyeball dates from the late 1950s, and was designed for use by medical students. The model is clean and shows minimal wear. All six original parts are present. Various points are marked with numerals, but the corresponding guide is lost to time.

The eyeball model would make an interesting prop or decor accent no matter where you choose to display it.

The eye model stands approximately 7 3/4 inches tall fully assembled.

Vintage fleur de lis with a gold gilt finish broke off the top of a French provincial style lamp decades ago. The lamp is long gone. The finial made its way to the garage where it hung on a hook until I recently picked it up and brought it into the house.

Ripe for repurposing, this cool bit of salvage can be used as a wall hanging or worked into a new arts & craft project.

The fleur de lis is in very good condition. I'm not sure of the piece's composition. There is a seam running along the sides indicating that it was made in a mold. It is not hollow and has some heft to it.

This Chase Hand Painted Japan ceramic angel figurine was originally part of a larger set of choir cherubs. The angel is robed in white and has a 1940s hairstyle. The angel holds a scroll of music.

Made in the late 1940s - early 1950s, this angel is a classic mid-century Christmas decoration produced in Japan for the American market.

The angel statue is in good vintage condition showing typical wear including some paint loss. She has her original Chase Hand Painted label and is marked "Japan" in red.

Santa Claus holds up a honeycomb tissue paper Christmas tree in this vintage Danish Amscan greeting card.

Once part of a salesman's sample book, the card is marked "Made in Denmark" on the back of the tree. The accompanying hand tag card has a red printing sample in lettering style no. 640 and is marked "Henri Fayette Chicago U.S.A." on the back. The card has its original metal clip to hold the honeycomb tree open.

Santa is approximately 6 1/4" tall x 4"; The tree has a 4" diameter when fully open.

The card is in good condition. The piece has wear along the edges. Santa's foot has a crease and the edge of his coat is peeling up. Please see photographs for more information about condition.

Serve your after dinner coffee on Christmas in this silver plate coffee pot for a dramatic finish to your festive feast. Made by Poole Silver, this beautiful silverplate serving pot can be used for coffee or tea. Silver-plate coffee pots are traditional favorites that are both functional and decorative.

The heavy high-quality coffee pot was finely rendered from copper alloy electroplated with silver. The silver plating, and the coffee pot in general, are in very good condition. I shined it up a bit, but left a bit of the nice patina of age particularly on the feet, handle and spout. Should you choose, this pot should polish up to a high shine.

The coffee pot is marked on the bottom "EPCA Bristol Silverplate by Poole 141."


The coffee pot is approximately 10 3/4" tall by 9 3/4" wide including the spout and handle, by 5" at its deepest point.

Beautiful example of California pottery made by Wade of California in the 1960s. The fabulous modern spiral shape is predominantly avocado green with swirls of mint green.

Originally intended as an ashtray, the dish can be used to serve tidbits or candies. Imagine it filled with orange goldfish crackers!

The bowl is in very good vintage condition. No cracks. No chips.

Wade Ceramics produced pottery in North Hollywood between 1965 and 1967. This piece is marked "Wade of Calif. U.S.A." along with the number "700."

Armchair travel back to 1908 Southern Italy with this vintage Baedeker travel guide. Filled with vintage maps and city plans, the antique travel book covers Italy south of Rome including Sicily as well as excursions to Malta, Sardinia, Tunis, and Corfu.

The vintage travel guide includes fold-out maps of Italia Meridionale, the city of Naples, Isola D'Ischia, Palermo, and Sicily.

This is a genuine antique travel book not a recent reprint. The book shows age appropriate wear including rubbing and soiling on the cover and wear at the cover edges and corners. Bottom right-hand side book pages from the title page to Roman numeral page XX are a bit crumpled. The book has decorative hand-marbled page edges and an attached ribbon bookmark. Maps are in good condition. Front and back hinge webbing is exposed but holding firm. Binding is tight. Map of Italy endpaper at the back. Previous owner made pencil notations at the back of the book chronicling a trip made in May 1911.

Super rare vintage world globe pencil sharpener made in Germany circa 1910 has an unusual novelty base with a hooded robed woman holding up the earth and a man kneeling at her feet.

Made out of metal, the miniature globe has a lithographed world map with simplified country boundaries and designations.

This is a very old, antique globe pencil sharpener that shows a deep patina of age and signs of use and wear. The surface of the world globe is well worn. The world globe can be turned, although I'm not sure if this was originally so. The vintage pencil sharpener is being sold as a display piece not as working sharpener. The pencil sharpening device is loose and I have not tested it to see if it works for fear it would break off inside the globe.

Despite these flaws, this is a rare and collectible world globe that would make a unique gift or addition to any globe collection.
