Antique edition of Murray's Handbook for Travellers in Central Italy comes with its original map of the region stored in the book's back endpaper sleeve.

This rare book is in good condition for its age. It was used as a guidebook and shows age & use appropriate wear. The cloth cover is rippling over the flexible book boards and shows soiling. The front endpaper is torn along the front hinge exposing the hinge webbing (see photograph four). The binding is tight. There are a few light pencil notations as well as a name and a few notes in ink on the front endpaper. The volume's original map of Central Italy is in very good condition having no tears. The map shows Italy in a state of transition from individual nation states into a unified country. The provinces of Tuscany, Umbria, and Abruzzo are clearly marked, present day Emilia-Romagna and Marche are marked "States of the Ch," or in other words, Papal States.

The volume has several fold-out maps:

Plan of Perugia

The book also has an advertising section at the back with interesting travel information including ads for trains, steamboats, and hotels.

John Murray began publishing travel guide books in 1836 for the educated British tourist covering popular European destinations as well as outposts of the British empire in Asia and North Africa.

Rare Huntley Palmer biscuit tin in the shape of a world globe was designed not only to hold cookies but to also be used as an educational toy. Made as a limited edition in 1906, this scare tin globe has a hinged lid and shows Great Britain and the extent of its territories (circa 1906) in pink.

The antique tin globe shows age appropriate wear including dings, scratches, a few dents, discoloration, patina, and some paint loss.

The vintage world globe is approximately 7 inches in diameter, and the tin stands approximately 7 1/2 inches tall including its feet and small handle on the lid.

This is a beautiful first edition copy of Stephen Powers's Afoot and Alone; A Walk From Sea to Sea by the Southern Route; Adventures and Observations in Southern California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Etc. This interesting and important rare book chronicles Powers's 3,556 miles walk from Raleigh, North Carolina to San Francisco, California.

Published in 1872 by the Columbian Book Company, this antique book is a rare find. The volume has 30 wood-cut engravings including several by the artist True W. Williams.

This is a solid book in very good condition for its age. The bottom cover corners are bumped and a bit frayed, but over all the cover is in great shape with just some light soiling. The gold gilt cover illustration of a traveller is in very good condition. There are a few brown spots on the title page's protective tissue overlay, some light foxing on pages 314 & 315, and a few spots here and there throughout the book. Binding is tight. Text block is square.

This Christian cross and holy spirit dove necklace is the perfect gift for a Sunday school teacher. Designed and made by the Terra Sancta Guild, the beautiful enamel religious pendant has the dove of the holy spirit within a cross on the front, and "Educator in Christ" (represented by the Chi Rho symbol) on the back.

Although vintage from the early 1970s, the cross necklace was never worn and comes in its original presentation box. The pendant necklace is on a silky navy blue cord that ties around the neck.

Pendant measure approximately 2 3/4" x 2 3/8". The cord is approximately 19" long.

This first edition copy of Coal Camp Girl is an ex-library book from the Franklin, Ohio Public Library. It has multiple library stamp marks, a "please wash your hands" sticker on the front endpaper, pencil markings, soiling, the remains of a removed library card holder on the inside back cover, and other evidence of a well-loved children's book. The book does not have a dust jacket. The binding is tight.

Lovely trio of vintage Valentine's Day handkerchiefs can be used as decor, given as gifts, or repurposed into banners or wall decor.

The cotton ladies's hankies have been used and show some wear. One of the white handkerchiefs has a black mark. The red handkerchief has some faint storage spots.

Illustrations by John R. Neill, best known for illustrating the original Wizard of Oz series, add a charming touch to Romero and Julietta by Tudor Jenks.

Part of Henry Altemus' Magic Wand Series, this scarce title has a lovely Art Nouveau cover and endpapers, as well as J.R. Neill illustrations throughout the book.

Alas, this rare book is not in good condition. The beautiful illustrations are intact, but the front hinge is beginning to break and several sections of the book are beginning to separate from the spine. All pages are present. The cover has obvious wear and soiling. The pages are tanned with age. The book is inscribed "To Harriet Christmas 1907." Despite all these issues, the illustrations and the scarcity of the title make the book worth collecting.

Miniature yet mighty, this vintage SRG dinosaur collection would make a fun decor accent on your office desk, in a man cave, or studio workshop.

SRG (Sell Rite Gifts) made a full line of cast metal dinosaur toy figurines from 1947 until about 1955. The dinosaurs were sold at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and other natural history museum across the United States.

Cast from metal with a bronzed finish, the dinosaurs have a wonderful patina of age.

These tiny dinosaurs were played with in their time and have suffered a variety of injuries including lost limbs and wear to the bronze finish.

The lot includes six (6) dinosaurs.
1. Dimetrodron -- Good condition, has a red ink blotch on the bottom. Marked SRG. 3 1/2" x 1 1/2"
2. Mosasaurus or Acanthostiga -- Very rare dinosaur figure in the SRG series. Missing one front flipper. No SRG marks. 3" x 1"
3. Plesiosaurus -- Missing one back leg and end of tail, and has a small red ink blotch on the bottom. Marked SRG. 4 3/4" x 1"
4. Pterandon or Pterodactyl -- Tip of one wing broken off. Marked SRG Co. 47. 3" x 1 1/2"
5. Tyrannosaurus Rex -- Good condition. Faint SRG mark. 2" x 2 3/4"

"Seve Nouvelle Vie Meilleure" or "New Sap, Better Life" by artist Andre Golven won a fifth place prize in the European Recovery Program (ERP) - Marshall Plan's Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living poster contest in 1950. This French poster entry shows a sapling rooted in a unified base of European flags uplifted by a strong hand.

A panel of graphic artists from the countries benefiting from the Marshall Plan selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

The poster is in very good condition. It has only minor edge wear. The poster will come to you encased in a removable archival sleeve (acid free Krystal Seal). The poster has been stored flat.

A copy of Book of Tricks and Magic edited by Prof. Svengarro is a must-have title for the serious magician or magic enthusiast.

Published in 1913 by I & M Ottenheimer, this scarce magic book contains instructions for many classic magic tricks and as well as many lesser known illusions.

This is a genuine antique copy of Book of Tricks and Magic. Printed on inexpensive pulp paper, the pages are deeply tanned with age yet not brittle. The cover shows wear particularly around the edges and at the top of the spine with some minor chipping and paper loss and spotting. Original price on the book's cover has been "x" out in ink. The book has a stapled binding.

Vintage custom-made little black dress is big on style. This striking cocktail dress has a beaded and sequined bodice, peplum skirt and back zipper.

The dress was tailor-made for its previous owner and does not have maker's, sizing, and fiber content labels. The fabric feels like wool crepe. The dress fits like a small. Zipper begins at the middle of the back not at the neckline. This is a beautifully made dress!

The dress is in very good vintage condition. It has a few missing beads & sequins in a small spot near the underarm on the left-hand side. Dress was attic stored & would benefit from a professional dry cleaning. Garment is priced accordingly.

Dress is shown on a 36 1/2" bust, 25" waist, 35" hip dress model.

Vintage playing cards made by Modiano for Italia Societa di Navigazione (Italian Line) come in their original box with a stylized art deco deer on one side and ocean liners on the other.

The bridge deck has 54 cards total including two jokers.

The cards, made of "siliconi" plastic are in good condition, but it is obvious this deck was used in play perhaps on one of the decks of an Italian Line ship. The gold gilt on the edges is almost completely worn away and the cards show typical wear, although they remain fairly crisp. The packaging box shows wear including worn corners, a few tears, and light soiling.

This is a scarce vintage card deck with a great art deco look.

New old stock Bridge for One pop-up playing card games by Milton C. Work, The International Authority, are a rare find. Each set of four (4) folded paper game sheets gives instructions on how to play bridge in three ways -- quoting from the back the game's description:

(a) As a contest with any number participating
(b) As a solitaire to test your own ability
(c) As a solitaire for educational purposes

Dating from the early 1930s, these games sheets were stashed away for many years and are in unused condition. Some of them showing soiling and creasing from storage, the paper is tanning from age, but they are so cool, and useable. Give them away as party favors at your next bridge game.
