Made in Switzerland, the vintage map measuring wheel spins as it should when wheeled over a map's surface. The metal casing shows light wear from use. Instructions for using the measuring device to determine distances in miles and kilometers is pasted on the back of the tool's box. The box is in good condition.

Little Players Growing Up A Piano Book is a charming music instruction booklet & collection of sheet music for child learners. Written by Robert Nolan Kerr and published by Theodore Presser Co in 1949, the booklet has amazing illustrations which harken back to a very different time and sensibility.

The booklet is in very good condition. A former owner wrote his name in pencil on the front cover above Theodore Presser, but this personal touch just adds to the publications charm. The pages are clean. The front cover is creased.

An interesting historical document, this illustrated guide gives an in-depth description of the museum's collections and their locations within the historic building. The advertisements in the back of the book add a charming touch. Photograph 5 shows my favorite, "Visit the Tchecoslovaquia."

The cover shows wear and there is some peeling as shown in the photographs. Pages show aging typical of a book from the 1960s. Binding is tight.

Vintage Charvoz drafting kit has all the basic tools you need to get you started drawing, lettering, and designing.

The vintage set includes drafting instruments made in Italy as well as a rare Bohemia Works 5209 mechanical lead pencil holder, two plastic Kum pencil sharpeners made in Germany, a small plastic container of extra leads and small extra parts, as well as a lettering guide sheet and an inches to millimeters conversation chart.

The high-quality drafting tools are housed in a sturdy felt-lined plastic case with slots for each instrument. The kit has two empty slots with stickers that read "This slot left open for future additions." The drafting equipment kit has not been used. The plastic case shows some shelf wear. There is some corrosion on mechanical pencil's clip.

Vintage world globe made in the U.S.A. by The Ohio Art Company will lend a colorful and fun touch to your office decor or a child's room. The decorative base has the months of the year, seasons, and zodiac signs.

Dating from the 1940s, the world globe identifies Kermit Bishop as the cartographer and shows the Belgian Congo, North & South Rhodesia, Indochina, Siam, Burma, Netherlands Indies, Palestine & Israel in the same territory, and West French Africa, a very curious combination of political boundaries as the Netherland Indies was dissolved in 1942 and and Palestine & Israel (which was created in 1948).

This is a genuine vintage globe made in the 1940s as a child's toy. It shows wear and the passing of time including scuffs, dings, dents, paint loss, rust spots, and soiling, all of which give the vintage globe a wonderful decorative patina of age.

The globe has approximately a 6 inch diameter and stands approximately 9 1/2 inches tall with a 6 inch base diameter.

Scotch Tape flying saucers toys with space launchers from the 1950s are truly a rare find. The small plastic punch-out spaceships were given away as advertising premiums with the purchase of a roll of Scotch Tape.

This instant collection of five (5) vintage flying saucers comes along with a vintage ad taken from a comic book advertising the six different spaceships in the series.

These cool space age toys would look amazing on display and would make a sensational gift for the collector of outer space and mid-century atomic age ephemera.

The vintage advertisement is in good condition showing typical wear around the edges and a bit of paper loss on the bottom left-hand corner. The ad is dated 1957 and has a Juicy Fruit Bubble Gum Safety Quiz ad on the reverse side. The punch-out toys are intact are have not been punched out of their plastic molds. The colors are vibrant. The vintage toys have some soiling from age and storage.

Vintage bright orange and yellow paisley fabric -- make something sunny and summery from this wonderful retro textile.

I found this fabric in a stack of remnants at the estate sale of woman who did a lot of sewing back in the late 1950s through the early 1970s. She kept her remnant stash well organized and clean.

I do not know definitively what type of fiber this fabric is woven from, but it feels like cotton.

Discovered in a box of antique photographs taken in Berlin and other Germany locales in the late 1800s, this set of carte de visite shows a buxom woman staring directly at the camera. She wears a beautifully detailed blouse, black skirt, and a wedding ring. It is very unusual to come across three identical carte de visite that were never circulated.

The cards are in amazingly good condition for their age. They show some minor surface wear including scratches, rubs, as well as a few photograph printing flaws. Each sepia photograph is mounted on heavy brown card stock marked with gilt engraving indicating the photography studio - Samsond & Co Berlin, which was located at Turmstr. 76a Frankfurter Allee 113.

As the cards were hand cut, they are not quite identical in size and measure approximately 5 1/4" x 2 1/2". The sepia prints would look amazing displayed together in a triple frame.

Carte de visite were invented in Paris by André Adolphe Eugène Disdéri in 1854. He also developed a method of producing eight separate negatives on one plate making it easier to produce multiple cards of an identical image. Carte de visite became all the rage with wealthy city dwellers in the late 1880s, and were traded among friends and relatives.

Festive and beautiful vintage souvenir scarf from Spain depicts the vibrancy of Spanish culture with scenes of flamenco dancers, matadors, and bullfighting.

The scarf can certainly be worn as intended, but the vintage textile could also be hung as wall decor.

The scarf is in good condition. It has a machine-stitched hem, about an inch of which has come undone. The fabric feels like rayon.

Scarf measures approximately 30 inches long by 29 inches wide.

First published in 1909, Games for Playground, Home, School, and Gymnasium written by Jessie H. Bancroft, Assistant Director of Physical Training in The New York Public Schools, gives an interesting insight into the era before electronic games and the Internet when children spent time out doors playing a wide variety of games.

The volume has a beautiful decorative cover suitable for decor and can be displayed in a child's room, nursery or game room.

The book is in very good condition. It comes with its original paper dust jacket which although torn at the top, has protected the decorative cover and binding. The binding is tight and the pages are clean. The front right-hand side endpaper has an ink stamped name of a previous owner, "Wm. L Buchner."

Included with the book are two typed sheet of bible study questions and ten small hand-written slips of paper with biblical names on them.

The book covers games for each age and grade level, brief historical information, how to select teams and who is "it," singing games, ball games, active games, quiet games, camp games, and more. The book is filled with line drawing illustrations and diagrams as well as photographs.
