Genuine 1950s Shiny Brite glass Christmas ornaments with a mid-century modern mica sparkle design, these small colorful balls would look great as part of a holiday centerpiece display. Smaller than the average Shiny Brite ornament, these little darlings have approxmately a 2 1/8" diameter.

The ornaments are in good condition showing age-appropriate wear including oxidation spots on the glass and metal caps and some scratches. Each cap is marked "Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A." The colors are vibrant.

Beautiful facsimile edition of The Book of Hours of Jean, Duke of Berry published in 1971 by George Braziller captures the brilliance of this celebrated medieval illuminated manuscript.

Commission in 1407 by Jean, Duke of Berry, The Grandes Heures is a large Christian devotional book lavishly decorated with emblems, religious paintings, grotesque ornaments, elaborate initial letters, beautiful calligraphy, and other traditional illuminated manuscript motifs. The original copy of this medieval illuminated manuscript masterpiece is in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.

The Braziller facsimile of The Grandes Heures is a great big heavy book printed in full color and true to scale of the original medieval manuscript.

The large-format book measures 17" x 12 3/4". The book is in very good condition. The binding is tight. Pages are clean. The dust jacket shows signs of wear including a sunned spine, a few tears along the edges, and a few holes near the spine.

Circa 1913 London Underground map, this rare antique subway map folds out at the back of an undated Alphabetical Pocket Guide to London issued by the Kingsley & Thackeray Hotels.

Measuring approximately 13 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches, the color map is in very good condition showing wear mostly around the edges, most notably on the bottom left-hand side with a small tear and a tiny bit of paper peal (please see photographs), as well as typical fold lines for a map found within a book.

The small tourist guide contains photographs of many popular London destinations and points of historic interest. The travel guide offers detailed descriptions of the Kingsley and Thackeray Hotels including room rates and meal prices. The small booklet also contains a chart of comparative international exchange rate values for English, American, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, & Russian currencies.

Miniature yet mighty, this vintage tyrannosaurus rex would make a fun decor accent on your office desk, or in your studio workshop. SRG (Sell Rite Gifts) made a full line of cast metal dinosaur toy figurines from 1947 until about 1955. The dinosaurs were sold at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and other natural history museum across the United States.

Cast from metal with a bronzed finish, the dinosaur has a wonderful patina of age.

This tiny t-rex dinosaur is in good shape for his age. He was played with in his time and appears to have suffered a minor injury on this left claw. The shortened claw might also be a manufacturing defect.

The dinosaur statue is marked 47 SRG on his belly.

Donned in the flags of European countries, this Cold War era chef is mixing together a politically unified Europe with a strong flavor of economic prowess. A bit more whimsical than most entries in the European Recovery Program (ERP) Marshall Plan's Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest, this prize-winning original lithograph designed by German artist Alfred Lutz would make an amazing addition to any vintage poster collection.

The ERP or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism.

A panel of graphic artists, one from each of the countries benefiting from the Marshall Plan, selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

The poster is an original poster not a reproduction. The poster is in excellent vintage condition with just some minor wear around the edges. The poster has been stored flat.

Filled with beautiful color maps of the world, this vintage atlas also has an astronomical geography chart, as well as world climate, natural vegetation, & political graphics as well as Mercator, Mollweides Homographic, & Lamberts Equivalent Azimuthal projections.

Published in 1941, the vintage world atlas captures the world in the throes of World War II with notations on map plates 38 & 39 (Central Europe) indicating the German occupation of Poland (September 1939), areas controlled by Russia and areas surrendered by Rumania (September 1940).

This is a vintage school atlas from 1941 showing age appropriate wear. The blue cloth binding is lightly soiled, with scratches and a crease line near the lower right-hand corner. There is an ink notation in top margin on page 45 (Balkan States). Otherwise, the pages are clean. The maps and charts are in very good condition.

Vintage world globe brass advertising paperweight and magnifying glass commemorates the 1969 Woodmen of the World national convention held in San Francisco. The old world style globe has paper gores and is set in a brass half meridian. The miniature globe is anchored on top of a brass casing that holds a slide-out magnifying glass.

This cool old decorative globe would look great in a modern office, home library, workshop, or studio.

The paperweight globe shows signs of age. The brass has some patina and soiling, and shows wear around the magnifying glass casing. Magnifying glass is in good condition. No cracks. No chips.

Globe measure approximately 2 inches in diameter. The piece measures approximately 4 inches tall with a 3 3/8 inches base diameter.

This is a sweet miniature saccharine serving bowl. The small finial topped metal box is lined with plastic and comes with tiny tweezers for picking up tiny saccharine tablets. Although the tiny gold box is inscribed "Saccharine", it can be used as a container for any small pills or tablets.

The miniature serving bowl is in very good vintage condition. The interior is clean. There are a few very light scratches on the lid. The original Gold Tone Product box shows wear, is missing its lid, and is split on one side.

Made by Cram's for the Buffalo Evening News, this scarce vintage world globe would make a cool desk decor accent in your home or office.

The presence of Manchukuo (founded 1932) and Persia (changed to Iran in 1935) dates the globe to the early 1930s. Korea shown as Chosen. Italian Somaliland is present (dissolved 1936), as is Siam, French West Africa, Union of South Africa, Ashanti, Belgian Congo, Indo-China, Palestine, Anglo-Eygpt Sudan, and Netherlands India, an odd designation for the Dutch East Indies.

The small globe has a 7 inch diameter, a scarce size. The vintage globe is mounted on a metal base with a decorative bent steel half meridian. The globe's base advertises the Buffalo Evening News as "Western New York's Greatest Newspaper," and has information on the earth and its place in our solar system. The globe is constructed of paper map gores over pasteboard.

This is an old globe and is was used in its time. There is no time dial at the top (most likely there was one at one time). The paper gores are dust soiled. The globe has dings and scuffs and some paper loss most notably around Antarctica.

This is a very old wooden bowling pin game from the early 20th century. It was played with and enjoyed in its time, but has lots of life left. The small game pins have a handmade look and painted red stripes. The palm-size bowling balls have one small flat area which allow the balls to sit on a table top without rolling away.

Back in the 1890s, Weaving Calculations was an essential reference book for textile mills throughout the Great Britain and the United States. This copy belonged to the Frank E. Gallant, the founder of a ribbon textile mill in Paterson, N.J.

This is a genuine antique book published in 1893, not a recent reprint. The book was used in its time by a mill owner and contains the previous owner's notations and calculations, as well as his signature and the date "1898" on the front endpaper. The book is worn on the spine with some splitting and fraying. The front hinge is cracking. There are no loose pages.

The book has an interesting advertising section in the back for various textile related services.

True Stories from Ancient History by A Mother (Agnes Strickland) recounts historically based stories from the "Creation of the World by the Mosaic Account," through the death of Charlemagne. The illustrated antique book has a decorative cover that would look lovely on display in your office or studio. The book would make a fun gift for a history teacher.

This is an antique book from the late 19th century not a recent reprint. It is well over 100-years old and shows the passage of time on its cover and pages. The back cover is splitting (bout 2 1/2 inches) but is not detached. There is some sun faded at the top of the back cover and some fraying at the bottom of the spine. The pages are very tanned with age but not brittle. A previous owner, Fedora Sandoval, wrote her name in green ink on the front endpaper.

Vintage hardwood ribbon shuttle loom comes with a bobbin and spool of purple thread. This interesting industrial relic from the American textile industry dates from the early 20th century.

Handcrafted from hard wood, most likely maple, the ribbon shuttle loom was made in Philadelphia by Riehl & Son, a textile machinery company known for the high-quality woodworking of their narrow fabric looms.

From the estate of a family that owned a ribbon mill Paterson, N.J., the ribbon shuttle loom is in very good condition showing typical wear for an industrial tool. There are no cracks in the hardwood. The shuttle and loom show some dust soiling and there is residue of machine oil on the bottom of the loom.

The shuttle measures approximately 9 inches long.
The loom measures approximately 5 inches by 4 1/2 inches.

Illustrations include photographs, black and white drawings, color plates, and art reproductions. Published in Great Britain by Thomas Nelson & Sons Ltd., the antiquated text gives an interesting insight into Britain's former colonial dynasty.

Title page stamped "Specimen" in ink with "1929" written in pencil. Two letter/number codes on the inside cover in blue pencil, possibly based on dewey decimal classification numbers as the 900 sequence begins the class for history and geography.
