I found this amazing U.S. Army issue Christmas Card at a used book sale in a bin of miscellaneous correspondence circa 1950s-1960s. Look closely and you will see the soldier in the drawing is looking down on a nativity scene of Mary, Joseph, & Baby Jesus under the Star of Bethlehem.

The 3rd Infantry, also known as the Marne Division and the Rock of the Marne, was stationed in Germany during the Cold War, the time from which this card dates. This much decorated U.S. Army unit has an illustrious military history going back to WW I.

The soldier wrote his holiday message on the back of the greeting card.

This vintage booklet published by Liguorian Pamphlets Redemptorist Fathers is a very curious piece of Catholic Church ephemera.

Referring to "diseased Catholics," this very brief religious pamphlet outlines the danger of "the poison of secularism." Written by E.F. Miller, C.SS.R., author of numerous Liguorian Pamphlets, this circa 1950s booklet is in very good condition. There is some chipping to the top cover and the top of the first page. Pages are supple and the stapled binding is tight.

Vintage miniature Japanese koi hand-carved from rosewood, these intricate wood goldfish have beady glass eyes and intricate tail fins.

Koi, or goldfish, are thought to bring good luck. Triple yours with these charming carved figurines.

The koi are in good condition. Two koi have lost one eye each. There is some minor chipping of their fabulously carved wooden tail fins which does not detract from their charm. The fish date from at least the 1950s and perhaps a bit earlier.

Each koi measures approximately 2 3/4" x 1 5/8 at the widest point on their tails.

Vintage mosaic mid-century modern tile dish, this round decorative plate can be used for tidbits, as a catch-all tray, or hung on the wall.

This versatile vintage mosaic art dish has a turquoise aluminum base and a vibrant array of red, plum, dark green & white tiles.

This classic bit of 1950s - early 1960s home decor is in very good vintage condition. No chipped or cracked tiles. There are a few minor spots on the bottom of the plate--see photograph two--which may come out with a good scrubbing. The dish has three green felt table guards on the bottom.

Beautiful kneeling 5-inch tall creche angel wears a blue flowing robe and has metallic gold wings. Add her to your nativity scene, or display her alone. Finely molded from paper mache, she is hand painted and marked "Italy" on the bottom. She is stunning!

Condition: She is in amazing condition for a 40+ year old paper mache creche figurine. She has one small chip on the base & minor paint loss along the bottom of her robe in the back where it meets the green base. She has a few spots on her hands & robe that may come off with a good cleaning, but that would disturbed the patina of age.

Vintage Atlantic City Mother's Day souvenir pillow cover from the 1940s WWII era shows scenes of a world that no longer exists. With awesome graphics, and a sweet poem to mother, this vintage textile would a make a fabulous Mother's Day gift.

The vibrant colors and amazing graphics show Atlantic City's early 20th-century hot spots. There's the Steel Pier, Boardwalk, Fountain of Light, Convention Hall, a panoramic view of the beach with the city behind it, and two diving bathing beauties.

The textile is in very good shape with some faint water spots near the fountain and some spots that look like dye from the piece itself near the diving bathing beauties.

This piece is the front panel for a pillow cover not a slipcase. A back panel would need to be sewn to it to use it as a pillow cover. A back panel is not included.

Simple Heraldry Cheerfully Illustrated is true to its title. This book is not only cheerful, but absolutely charming. Fully illustrated, each page overflows with colorful imagery giving a succinct history and explanation of the symbolism and pageantry behind the creation of a coat of arms.

This is a vintage book published in 1955. It is in very good condition but it was obviously enjoyed and read. Previous owners name and notation on front endpaper. The dust jacket has some soiling and chips and rips at the edges and spine. Otherwise, this is a great copy of a wonderful book. Binding is tight, pages are clean.

Vintage Beistle Company die cut Thanksgiving turkey decorations just like the ones your teacher hung up in your classroom way back when.

In very good vintage condition, these fine Tom turkeys bear the Beistle company signature and are dated 1972. Bright colors, one side of each turkey is glossy and the other side is matte. Each turkey has a small hole near its top for tacking on to a bulletin board or other surface.

One turkey has a small worn spot on the matte side near the top of his feathers and a very small tear near his base. The other one has a small tear near his base.

It's a toss up what's cooler, the Kenner Dolly Dressmaker doll clothes pattern sewing kit or the funky "Genuine Amen-ized Pak" from Amen "the last word in value!" which billed itself as "the world's largest merchandizer of self-service products."

Although the Amen-ized Pak seal was broken when I found this treasure, the packaging provided enough protection through the years to keep the Dolly Dressmaker pattern kit in fabulous condition. The kit includes pre-cut fabric, buttons and illustrated sewing instructions.

A tiny treasure, this small English bone china hand-painted plate with fruit design from Copelands Grosvenor China measure a mere 3 3/8" in diameter. The hand-painted design depicts a harvest grouping of a golden apple, purple plums, red raspberries and currents.

In very good vintage, there is some wear to the gold rimming but no chips or cracks. Printed hallmarked reads "Copelands Grosvenor China England" in green and dates this piece to the 1930s.

Perfect serving piece for butter, which may have been it's original use.
