Vintage Bell Labs glass paperweight reminded its owner to "Safeguard Classified Information." This super cool industrial paperweight would make a unique gift for a digital-age tech geek or executive.

The glass dome paperweight is in very good vintage condition. There are a few manufacturing imperfections in the glass. The paper weight has a green felt bottom onto which someone affixed a paper label with the initials "T.I.L." The paperweight has a stylized American flag design with the phrase "Safeguard Classified Information" and "Bell Telephone Laboratories" under the glass.

This vintage Carlton Ware vase in the hard-to-find Bleu Royale spider's web design is an exquisite piece of English pottery. The beautiful blue vase has painted gold handles and a hand-painted spider and floral motif.

No serious library would be complete without a copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. This vintage edition of the classic Middle English verse and prose work has illustrations by Rockwell Kent. The hefty book has decorative endpapers, an introduction by Gordon Hall Gerould, and typography by Robert Josephy.

This is a vintage book published in 1934. It has been enjoyed and read over the years. The mustard colored cloth binding has a paper paste down illustration of a Medieval crusader by Rockwell Kent and another paper paste down on the spine with the book's title. The cover shows light soiling. The book has a gift inscription on the front endpaper "With Love to Robin and Dick on their first Christmas from Marjorie and Frank on their eighth." Front webbing is slightly exposed. Pages are clean. Binding is tight.

Weathered wooden Chadwick badminton rackets may not sport the latest game technology, but they sure do look great. Use them in your backyard game this summer (you'll need to spruce them up a bit first), or hang them as decor in your rec room or sports room.

Rackets were used in their time back in the 1950s, and then stored in a garage for years. They have a deep patina of age. The netting is unbroken and in good shape. The original handle grips are not longer presents. Paint is chippy.

Vintage Red Letter New Testament with a flexible leatherette cover has decorative gold and red edges and cover title stamp.

The small, pocket size Bible "with the words of the Lord printed in red," has a gift inscription from Lottie to Billy dated February 27, 1937. Billy signed and dated his name at the back of the book.

The book is in good condition. The pages are clean with some creasing at the edges of a few pages. The binding is tight. The cover shows wear with some loss of the leatherette at the corners and around the edges.

I bought two wood-handled horse hair brushes at an estate sale recently and have discovered that a horsehair brush is the ideal tool to dust off a laptop computer. As I only need one brush, I am offering the other for sale.

The brush was once owned by a professional draftsman. The horse hair is in excellent and clean condition. The wood handle shows wear and has dings and scratches typical for a used tool. The handle is marked "Sterilized Hair Made in U.S. A.," & has a hole in it for a rope, making it easy to hang the brush near your desk for easy access.

Wood handle is approximately 14 1/4" long x 1" at its widest point. Horse hair brush area is approximately 9" long x 1 3/4" at this widest point.

This antique Armenian Bible is in very rough condition, but it contains interesting genealogy information. In the back of the bible someone diligently recorded the births and deaths of the Tegnazian family beginning with the birth of Karl H. Tegnazian on March 17, 1881. The last notation is for John Tegnazian who died on July 29, 1931 at 5:45.

The Bible comes along with an Armenian newspaper clipping from 1913 with an "X" marking the figure of a woman. There is also a leaflet in Armenian dated 1948.

The Bible is falling apart. The spine is exposed revealing the hand-sewn binding. The cover and some pages are detached from the spine. The leather cover is fragile and crumbling. The pages are tanned but supple. The page edges show the remains of gold gilding.

Vintage Fred Sweney "Fins & Feathers" double playing card set in its original plastic case -- this is indeed a rare find.

Printed by Brown & Bigelow, an advertising speciality company founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1896, this double set of playing cards with bird and fish designs comes in a red plastic case with clear plastic cover with "Ell-Bee Chemical Co." printed in gold letters. The set includes a folded notecard with a deer in the woods illustration and a brief description of Sweney & his art.

Known for his detailed and accurate wildlife art, Fred Sweney's illustrations appeared in Field & Stream, National Geographic, among other publications. A graduate of the Cleveland School of Art, he taught illustration for over 25 years at the Ringling School of Art & Design.

The plastic case is in very good condition. It is marked "Remembrance Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn. U.S.A." The card decks are sealed in their original cellophane packages with tax stamps intact. There are several tears in the cellophane. Notecard is in very good condition.

Case measures 5" x 4 1/8" x 1 1/8"; Playing Card Decks measure 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 5/8".

Cobalt blue glass paperweight commemorating the 1980 U.S. Open at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. is a rare piece of golf memorabilia. The hefty glass disk has a hand-etched number "0169," and was one of a very limited number of paperweights made as souvenirs of the golf event. The glass paper weight is embossed with "U.S. Open 1980 GBC Baltusrol" as well as Baltusrol's logo.

Jack Nicklaus won the 1980 U.S. Golf Open played June 12 -15 at Baltusrol Golf setting a new tournament scoring record. It was his fourth U.S. Open win.

This is a very heavy piece of glass. The paperweight is in very good vintage condition. The piece has some scratches and scuffs on the underside. No chips. No cracks.

Vintage bass compass made in Germany circa 1920s has a glass crystal cover and a blue and silver magnetic needle indicator. The magnetized blue side of the compass needle lines up with true north and appears to be working just fine.

This is a genuine vintage compass not a reproduction. It was used in its time and shows wear. There are some oxidation spots on the brass casing and scratches on the glass case.

The prints are in a lovely hardcover folio with a decorative cover.

The striking color illustrations are vibrant. The prints are in good condition with the exception of Cinderella which is torn in half but still attached to its matting board. There is a tear at the top of the little red riding hood print. There is a small chip at the bottom of the Snow White print. The matting boards are not in good condition. They are torn and taped. A previous owner wrote the English translation of each image in pencil at the top and on the back of each matting card. The brown cloth-bound hardcover folio shows wear including rubbing, fraying, & soiling.

Prints measure approximately 5 3/8" x 4" on 8 1/4" x 6 1/2" matting cards.

Based in Watertown, N.Y., the Shaughnessy Knitting Co. produced their Olovnit knitted underwear and stockings during the flapper era. This collectable vintage tape measure has a white celluloid casing with a gold and blue transfer label.

Made in the 1920s, the cloth measuring tape is in good vintage condition. The retractable tape measure is in working order, but given its age, should be handled gently. The casing is in very good condition with slight signs of wear. The lovely vintage sewing tape measure would make a great gift for the collector.

Size 8 1/2 vintage woven ecru linen Bonwit Teller "Venus" t-straps are the perfect summer shoes for the office, special occasion, or whenever you want to wear sophisticated footwear. Fine handmade craftsmanship make this a pair of shoe that you will have for years to come.

The shoes are in remarkable condition. The fine leather soles are virtually new. The linen has "rusted" a bit in places, and there is a very small black mark on the left shoe. The spot is so close to the sole that it is barely noticeable when worn. The spot and rusting may come out with cleaning. I will leave this up to you and a good shoe marker. The size and department store code are hand written on the inside of the strap.

Hang a piece of history on your wall. This dramatic Cold War era propaganda poster was a winner in the Marshall Plan European Recovery Program's 1950 poster contest promoting European unity and cooperation.

Designed by Swedish artist Erik Oelmebo, the art poster shows all the European countries involved with the Marshall Plan pulling together to accomplish "Samarbette for Fred, Frihet, Hogre Levnadsstandard" -- Co-operation for Peace, Freedom, and a Higher Standard of Living.

This poster is an original lithograph from 1950 and is in remarkable condition for its age. It was part of the estate of a graphic artist who collected all 25 winning posters in the Marshall Plan poster contest. The posters were all stored flat in a drawer in a climate-controled studio. The poster shows some wear around the edges with very small tears, but no paper loss. The colors are vibrant.

This poster has been stored flat not rolled.

Depending on your perspective, this ceramic figurine could either be a sweet miniature white rabbit or a feisty March hare.

Rabbits are an ancient and widely found symbol of spring, renewal and fertility and are associated with the moon in Buddhist, Mayan and Mesopotamian cultures. The rabbit was sacred to Germanic fertility goddess Ostara or Eostre, and is closely linked to the celebration of the vernal equinox. The rabbit is the fourth sign on the Chinese astrological chart.
