A Great Britain entry in the European Recovery Program (ERP) Marshall Plan's Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest, this striking graphic suggests that cooperation is the key to post-World War II economic development and prosperity.

The ERP or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism.

A panel of graphic artists selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

The poster is an original poster, not a reproduction. The poster is in very good vintage condition with just some wear at around the edges.

Poster has been stored flat and has never been rolled.

Lovely vintage gift edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam has an amazing grapevine red and black cover, decorative endpapers, and beautiful color art illustration. These vintage metal Brutalist sculptures are so cool. They look great grouped together and will liven up even the most minimalist and modern decor. The sculptures could also be used as bookends. Forged out of what appears to be wrought iron, the shadow men have a primitive look and spear-like hands.


The modern art sculptures are in very good condition. The figures are unsigned.

Metal figures stand approximately 10 3/4 inches tall. One statue is a tad shorter than the other. The shadow bases extend approximately 6 1/2 inches.

The book is in good condition showing expected age-related wear including wear on the cover edges and spine and aging paper. The only major issue to note is that the title page has detached from the binding, but it is present. Binding is tight.

Shiny Brite, the iconic American Christmas ornament company, produced a fantastic array of glass holiday baubles from the late 1930s into the 1960s. This set of lantern-shaped glass ornaments have red, green & white stripes. They came to me tied with the red ribbon you see in the photographs and I have kept the ornaments together.

The ornaments have lost most of their silvering. One of the ornaments has a replacement metal top which is marked "Poland" and doesn't quite fit the bulb. The other one has metal cap marked "Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A." The ornaments have typical signs of aging with spots, paint loss, & discoloration.

One ornament is approximately 2 3/4" long. The other one is about 3" long.

Double deck set of Fred Harvey Indians of the Southwest playing cards is a rare find. The playing cards have bold and beautiful graphics. The vintage playing card decks come in their original slip-case box.

Each deck has 52 cards. There are no jokers. The gold deck has gold gilt edges, and the silver deck has silver edges. The aces of spades in both decks are marked "The U.S. Playing Card Co, Cincinnati, U.S.A. P 1615."

The cards are in very good vintage condition. There is evidence of light wear but no creases or tears. The cards are crisp. The box shows shelf wear and is missing it's label. I believe the label would have identified this set as Congress Cell-u-Tone Finish playing cards.

Box measures 5 1/6 inches x 3 3/4 inches x 1 inch. Cards measure 3 1/2 inches x 2 3/8 inches.

Rolling Stone's Gimme Shelter is not only a great rock and roll tune, but also the name of a documentary film covering the final leg of the band's 1969 U.S. tour, including the infamous Altamont Free Concert.

What you are looking at in this listing is Gimme Shelter in RCA SelectaVision VideoDisc format. Released in 1970, the movie quickly became a rock and roll classic. Selectavision disc players have mostly gone the way of the dinosaur. This disc has not been tested, and I cannot vouch that it is in playable condition. Should you happen to have a working Capacitance Electronic Disc (CED) system player lying around, you could check it out.

I'm selling the disc as a display piece akin to a vintage poster. The graphics on the front and back covers are amazing. Feature either the picture of Mick Jagger captured at the height of his youthful bad-boy rock star look, or display the back cover with the full band in pink silhouette against a teal green background, red lips, and a publicity blurb.

The disc cover is in good condition but it does show wear including soiling, dings, scratches, and tears, with several spots of paper loss.

Measures 14 inches x 12 7/8 inches wide 5/15 deep.

This is a genuine vintage religious pamphlet from the 1940s not a reproduction. As such, expect ordinary signs of aging including some wear to the cover, with a small chip on the right-hand side of the cover corner, wear and tanning at the edges of the pages. Previous owner's name (Carolyn Zickel) written in blue ink on inside cover.

Everywoman, an ladies underwear catalog distributed by Sisson Brothers-Welden, a once prominent dry goods store in Binghamton, N.Y., is filled with amazing illustrations of women wearing various styles of undergarments knitted by Richelieu Mills of Utica, N.Y.

Although the antique catalog is not in fine condition, I just could not resist the information and images it contains, from its cover with illustrations of 12 beautiful woman sporting a variety of hairstyles, to the brief "Everywoman" story that begins, "When Eve's curiosity led her into the indiscretion that resulted in her loss of social position she took to sewing...," to the pictures of women with rosy cheeks wearing modest cotton knit underwear.

The adverting booklet is undated. The hair and clothing styles, and advertisements for the Win-Sum union suit date the catalog to 1910 - 1912.

The front cover of the booklet is heavily spotted with soil and foxing. The back cover has a hole that penetrates through to the last page of the booklet (see photograph 3). There are some numerical pencil notations on the inside back cover and stray pencil marks and soiling on the back cover. Pages are browned with age. The bottom page corners are bent and a few are chipped. There is some paper loss on the stapled spine.

Genuine World War 2 Royal Air Force padded wings patch and military ribbon bar, this set belonged to a Polish Air Force pilot who fought from England along side the British Air Force.

The ribbon bars represents medals for the Battle of Britain (light blue, red, navy blue) , Air Force Active Service medal (light blue, white -- awarded on July 7, 1945 to all members of the Polish Air Force who served at least 6 months of active military service). I have not been able to identify the white and purple ribbon. If you see this listing and know what it is, please let me know.

The top seam has separated on the padded patch. The padding is present. The ribbon bar is in good condition showing light soiling.

Patch measures 4 inches from wing tip to wing tip by 1 1/2 inches.
The ribbon bar measures 4 1/8" long.
