Atlas holds the world as it was before 1914 and the outbreak of the World War I. The simplified antique globe was made in Germany and was originally a pencil sharpener. The miniature globe shows the Congo States, St. Pedersburg, and the British Dominion (now the western Canadian provinces).

This rare tin globe shows its age and has lots of character for its small size. The pencil sharpener devise is dull and has separated from the piece as one of the small bolts holding the sharpener in place has partially rusted away. The globe has typical paint loss for a metal toy globe of this age. There are some green ink markings on the bottom.

Incredible set of leather bound books, this collection of Antique Gems from the Latin and Greek was published by subscription in 1902 by George Barrie & Son, Philadelphia. Each custom printed set was bound according to the subscribers specifications. This set is bound in three quarter Morocco leather, green with brown spine, and light green cloth. The spines have gold gilt designs and lettering.

Subscription number 685 of 1000 sets published, this collection belonged to Percy Chubb the founder of Chubb Insurance. Each volume has Chubb's personal bookplate pasted on the inside front endpaper.

Each book has the Latin or Greek text on one side with the English translation on the facing page. The books are beautifully illustrated and printed on high quality Japanese vellum paper.

Books are in very good condition with rubbing and wear evident at the corners and along the edges. Pages are clean. The books were on a library shelf untouched for years and have some dust soiling along the top edges.

This impressive book set would be an amazing gift for a book lover, Classics buff, or a lawyer or corporate executive who has been promoted to the corner office.

The small pitcher was designed as a milk creamer for coffee, but it would also work well as a gravy boat.

Satellite Space Race card game has cool atomic age art of astronauts, outer space, rockets, and planets. Dating from 1957, the fantasy science fiction space travel game is designed for two players who race against each other to be the first to collect all cards in their series.

Deck is complete including a total of 36 cards. This is a genuine vintage deck of cards. The cards were played with and show wear. The space-age graphics on the card fronts are bright. A few of the card backs show fading and yellowing. The deck comes in its original box which shows wear. The top flap is separated from the box, there is rubbing, wear, and a some paper loss around the edges.

Box measures 3 5/8 inches x 2 1/8 inches. Cards are slightly smaller.

Use this long, tall glass martini pitcher when you want your drinks stirred not shaken. The vintage cocktail pitcher has a cool frosted flying duck motif and base as well as its original glass stirrer.

The pitcher is very tall and heavy. The generous handle appears to be made of hand-blown glass.


This impressive mid-century martini pitcher would made a great wedding gift for a vintage-loving couple.


Pitcher is 13" tall with a 3 3/4" base diameter and a party-size 48 oz. capacity. The glass stirrer is 16" long.

Vintage Catholic pamphlet uses cute babies and humor to motivate church goers to give more money. Published by Catechetical Guild, the back of the booklet sites that the pictures were "Suggestions by a Redemptorist Father," and includes information about the tax deductibility of gifts to the church. The pamphlet also has a stamp on the back from the "Catholic Book Shop of New York."

This is a genuine vintage pamphlet from the 1950s not a reproduction. As such, it shows typical wear and the passage of time.

Rare deck of Cosmic Wheel of Life Fortune Telling Cards from the 1940s is a must have for the occult and fortune teller card collector. The card deck is complete (30 cards), and comes with its original instruction sheet and original box.

The deck has two duplicate cards -- two 15s and two 27s, for a total of 32 cards.

The cards show light wear and tanning from age. The box is missing its bottom and shows wear and a few tears around the edges.

Box measures 3 2/4 inches x 2 9/16 inches. Cards are slightly smaller.

The Cosmic Wheel of Life Fortune Telling Cards were produced by Superior Products Chicago, circa 1940, and printed in the U.S.A.

Designed by Gusta Aberg, this graphically striking image of wire cutters cutting through barbed wire was a Swedish entry in the Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest sponsored by the European Recovery Program (ERP), more popularly known as the Marshall Plan.

The ERP or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism.

A panel of graphic artists, from the countries benefiting from the Marshall Plan, selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

Vintage Rogue Magazine Rogue Girl pin up calendar for 1962 features 12 photograph images of beautiful women in naked and semi-nude poses.

The calendar has a plastic spiral binding and six double-sided poster pages. Each page measures 23 1/2 inches by 11 inches.

The calendar is in very good condition. The colors are good and the calendar is clean. The calendar is folded in thirds and appears to never have been hung.

Antique photograph postcard of a Catholic priest taken in the vicinity of Berlin, Germany in the early 1900s was among a cache of one family's photographs spanning from the 1800s into the 1900s. There is no indication if this young priest was a relative, although there is a resemblance between this man and a woman who appears to be the family matriarch.

The photograph postcard is in fair to good condition. It has noticeable wear around the edges and corners. There are a few soil spots on the image as well as general signs of age.

The photographs appears to be a black and white that has faded to more of a sepia tone.

The photograph postcard was produced by Samson & Co., the Berlin, Germany photography studio that also took other pictures in this family's photographic cache. Documents in the cache indicate that the family's name was Jasick.

U.S. Army Infantry Drill Regulations, 1935 edition, is filled with information and illustrations. An interesting historical document, this military training book has a hand drawn illustration of a rifle as well as the signatures of fourteen men who trained together. This list of names is head "CMTC 1938." CMTC is the acronym for Citizens Military Training Camp. Authorized by the National Defense Act of 1920, the camps were run in the summers from 1921 to 1940 on military bases throughout the United States.

Prim and proper portrait of a gorgeous redhead, this vintage Hair Style of the Month poster is as striking as it is retro.


Published in Chicago by Hair Style of the Month, this original poster was produced for display in hair and beauty salons across the United States. The poster is printed on sturdy coated paper and has an image on both sides.

This poster was displayed in a Chicago hair salon and shows wear. One side of the double-sided poster is slightly faded from the sun. The poster has some wear on the edges, light soiling, and tape residue where it was affixed to a display. The poster was stored rolled up for many years.

Measurements: 20" x 16".

I have a whole treasure trove of these marvelous hair style posters and will be listing them in my shop over the next several weeks.

Written by Harry Castlemon (pen name of Charles Austin Fosdick), a prolific 19th-century author of adventure books for boys, Frank Among the Rancheros is part of The Rocky Mountain Series of novels published by Porter & Coates.

This very early edition, possibly a first edition, has a decorative cover and an illustration of Frank, the main character.

The book is a genuine antique book from the 19th century, not a modern reprint. As such, expect wear and aging appropriate for a book that is almost 150 years old. The pages are tanned with age, but supple and not crumbling. Some of the pages have soiling. The cover has some spots and wear along the edges and at top and bottom of the spine. Binding is tight.

Rare to find in working order, this miniature globe pencil sharpener would make a special gift or unique office decor. Made in Germany circa 1905, the miniature steel globe has a simplified version of the World's political boundaries.

Globe shows Congo State, Turkish Empire, Persia, Russian Empire, Chinese Empire, Pedersburg (St. Petersburg).


The small globe is in good condition with typical wear including scratches and some paint loss. The metal sharpener devise is very dull and does not sharpen well.
