Published in 1887, the Italy travel guide Rambles in Rome has a decorative green cover and detailed information on walks through the ancient city. Much has changed in Rome since 1887, and yet much has remained the same. This charming antique book can help you compare and contrast the 19th century city with that of the 21st century.

The antique book is filled with illustrations and maps as well as an interesting "guide to useful information" which includes a list of American, English, "Native", and "Foreign" artists living in the city at that time along with their addresses, a chart of carriage tariffs, practical information on galleries, museums, and villas, hotels, public libraries, and omnibus routes. There are also several pages at the back of the book advertising other titles by S. Russell Forbes.

The book is in good condition for its age with obvious signs of wear and evidence of the passage of time including bumped corners, a scratch on the cover, fraying of the cloth binding at the edges. Pages are lightly tanned.

Vintage 1969 Replogle moon globe would make a unique gift for just about anyone on your holiday gift list.

The metal lunar globe has a 6 inch diameter, shows great surface details including craters and seas, the landing sites of unmanned moon landings, as well as the first manned Apollo 11 landing on July 20, 1969.

The small moon globe is in exceptionally good condition for a vintage toy globe having no rust and no dents. The plastic cradle stand is in good condition showing a bit of discoloration from age.

Nice and clean two volume set of Robert Graves's Greek Myths published by George Braziller in the 1950s would make a great gift for the mythology enthusiast.

Bound in black cloth with gold gilt titles on the spines, the hardcover books are in very good vintage condition. Volume one has a two-page map of the ancient Greek world (photograph 5). Volume two has a large fold-out map at the back as pictures in photograph three. This fold-out map is in excellent condition.

The young women's faces in this 1929 New Jersey College for Women at Rutgers University, New Brunswick yearbook radiate beauty and intelligence.

The Quair, which means book in Scottish, has an Arts & Craft Movement style with a textured cover resembling a wooden door with decorative metal hinges and pine tree embellishment. The college yearbook is filled with whimsical illustrations and beautiful photographs documenting the class of 1929.

The large-format book is very heavy and shows wear and tear from handling and the passage of time. The top and base of the spine are fraying and there is wear along the length of the spine. The pages are lightly tanned with age.

The yearbook belonged to Ruth Slavitt class of 1931 who signed her name and wrote the year "1928" on the front right-hand side endpaper.

Replogle constellation globe with a bright red meridian, wire frame, and book stand is a rare find. The small 6-inch diameter globe has beautiful star constellation graphics and comes with a vintage star and planet guidebook.

The vintage globe dates from the 1950s. The celestial globe comes with its original tag identifying the toy as "The Little Dipper Globe," "Your Key to the Stars," and "A Junior Globe Mfd by Replogle Globes Inc. Chicago." There is also a gold foil hang tag stating that the toy globe was "Commended By the Consumer Service Bureau of Parents Magazine."

This is an original Replogle star globe not a reproduction. The globe shows signs of wear and the passage of time. There is some rust and light scratches on the globe. The colors are vibrant. The metal book stand also has some light rust, scratches, and dings. Over all, the metal globe is in amazing shape for a vintage toy. The softcover star guidebook has a few creases on the cover and wear around the edges.

Vintage choir angel Christmas decorations circa 1960 made in Italy, use these beauties as tree ornaments, in a manger display, or as part of a table centerpiece. Two angels are playing instruments, a violin and cymbals. The third angel sings from a song scroll.

Molded from a high-quality hard plastic resin, these angels are in very good vintage condition. Each angel base is marked "Italy" and has a small loop in the back above the wings for a hang cord and an old metallic hanging string. One angel's string is broken but could be retied or replaced.

Each angel is approximately 3" tall. They range from 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" in width.

Vintage black leather bound My Sunday Missal comes with its original presentation gift box. The small vintage Catholic prayer book would make a lovely gift.

The prayer book has a flexible black leather cover, red & gold gilt page edges and three fraying silk ribbon bookmarks. The book shows typical wear. The front book hinge is broken but the binding is tight. The presentation box shows shelf wear. The bottom of the box has one split corner.

Prayer book has a presentation inscription in the front "From Uncle Bill" to "Daniel M. Shine on his Confirmation Day 11/8/52.

Cool set of antique Biggle Farm Library books includes five volumes from the series. What a great gift for the aspiring farmer!

These small pocket-size books are packed with useful information about various aspects of farming including beekeeping, raising chickens, maintaining an orchard, planting a garden and a berry patch. The books have decorative covers. The orchard, berry, and poultry books have delightful full-page color plates illustrations.

These are genuine antique books from the early 1900s, not reproductions. Expect wear including scruffs, bumped corners, aged paper, markings, etc.

This metal cigarette case is one smokin' vintage tobacciana collectible. The brass metal cover has an engraved map of the continental United States. The map indicates major cities across America. Most states also have a symbolic icon such as cattle in Texas, cactus in Arizona, oranges in Florida, and corn in Illinois. The hinged case is marked "Wadsworth Made in U.S.A."

You don't have to use this cool case for cigarettes. It would make a great wallet or business card case.

The cigarette case is in good vintage condition. It comes with its original felt pouch. The inside is very clean. The hinge works and is secure. Press the front button and the case pops open.

Vintage Satellite Spin Away game by Consolidated Toy Mfg comes with no instructions or game pieces, but it sure has cool atomic cold war era graphics with rockets launching from earth towards images of Sputniks.

This vintage game would make a great wall hanging in your office or man cave. It's sure to be a conversation piece. The game board is lithographed on sturdy cardboard and nailed onto the back of a 1 3/4 inch deep wooden frame.

The game is old, dating from the late 1950s - early 1960s, and shows signs of wear and tear. There are some areas of paper loss on the game board surface on the bottom left-hand corner and soiling.

Metal Logan Rural Mailbank is a classic still bank toy from the 1950 - 1960s. The galvanized steel rural style mail box is mounted on a red wood base. The box has a front latch that opens.

The vintage bank would make a cool gift or office decor accent. And, it can be used to stash your spare change.

This is a genuine vintage toy from the late 1950s - 1960s. It was played with in its time and then was put into storage for years. The metal toy bank shows age appropriate wear. There are some black scuffs on the metal, soiling, and light rust. I believe the vintage bank is missing a lock and a metal sign that ran along the top.

Cram's 12 inch celestial globe is a scarce find, and this one is in fine condition. This beautiful star globe shows the night sky against a heavenly blue background. The constellation globe has a celestial equator, ecliptic, autumnal and vernal equinoctial colures as well as summer and winter solstitial colures.

The globe is made up of coated paper gores over a plastic sphere. Major and familiar constellations such as the Great Dipper, the Sickle, and Orion are highlighted in yellow outline.

This outstanding vintage celestial globe is one of the last made before the space race and NASA's modern astronomy technology changed what we knew about the night sky and our universe. The globe has a full metal meridian with degree marks and a time dial at the top.

The globe sits in a full-ring gold-tone metal wire frame cradle with a metal horizontal ring with a printed table of the time, months, zodiac signs, degrees, and compass marks.

This is a genuine vintage globe not a reproduction. The globe is in remarkably good condition for its age showing light evidence of wear and the passage of time including spots on the printed table label on the horizontal ring, wear on the gold-tone wire frame and the metal meridian.

This vintage novelty globe is a curious retro find. The globe sphere is made up of individual pieces of paper edge printed with Jacques-Louis David's painting The Intervention of the Sabine Women (1799). It appears as though the paper sheets were intended to be used as a notepad. The paper globe has an acrylic lucite base and an a half-meridian frame with degree indications.

The globe is small. It has a 4-inch diameter and a 4-inch square lucite base. The globe is 7 3/4 inches tall including the stand and base, and has a "Crafted in Taiwan" label on the bottom.

Genuine vintage, expect typical wear including light scratches on the metal meridian and lucite base.

This little piece of Italian pottery hails from the legendary Gio Ponti designed Parco Dei Principi hotel in Sorrento, Italy. It was most likely originally used as a tip tray, small bar dish for tidbits, or ashtray.

The small tray or dish has a lovely deep green glaze and is marked "Ceramiche Gioia Salerno."

The Italian ceramic tray is in good condition, having no chips or cracks. It does have some uneven spots on the back from the manufacturing process (see photograph two.)

Vintage plateau mirror tray has a lovely beveled edge and beautiful cut-glass star detailing. The vintage mirror tray is set in a metal frame and has a hook on the back giving you the flexibility to hang the mirror on the wall or to use it on your dresser top. The vintage mirror has a generous 12-inch diameter and would make a lovely centerpiece piece base on a dining table.

This mirror is old. The mirror is in good condition for its age. It has some light scratches and a few small dark spots, but no major unsilvered areas. The metal frame has a nice patina of age.

Illustrated Modern Library edition of Longfellow's poetry contains all his classics poems, Evangeline, The Courtship of Miles Standish, The Song of Hiawatha, as well as many other verses.

Beautifully illustrated by Allen Lewis, the vintage book has a decorative cover and gold-gilt title lettering on the spine. The book was previously owned and enjoyed. The former owner wrote her name, Sylvia Riley, on the front endpaper, made arrow notations on the table of contents, and wrote several letters on the page edges. The cover shows wear particularly at the corners which are bumped and worn through to the book boards. Paper is tanned is age.

Primary known as a pulp and paper company, Georgia-Pacific started out in 1927 as a lumber company.

Listing is for a set of five (5) pencils. Multiple sets are available.

Found in an overlooked corner at an estate sale, I couldn't resist the sight of the vintage blue pencils in a bright yellow box. Pencils are circa late 1960s early 1970s and are in excellent unused condition.

Pencils are 7" long x 1/2" wide x 1/4" high.
