T.S. Eliot's The Cultivation of Christmas Trees is beautifully designed and illustrated by Erico Arno in this 1956 American first edition, published by Farrar, Straus, Cudahy. Part of the Ariel book series conceived by London’s Faber & Gwyer, the book is very brief, just a few pages long, and was intended to be an elaborate Christmas card. And this one was used just as intended. It is inscribed to "Nancy & Jim" by "Billy." "P.S. This is my Christmas card."

The book is not in good condition, as reflected in the price. The binding is tight, but the paper on the spine is split with some paper loss. The cover has additional wear around the edges. Except for the inscription on the front endpaper as noted above, the pages are clean.

Thorvald Marthinsen Norway silver spoons in the Dovre pattern, this lovely design has a hammered handle with a floral overlay design. This set of seven (7) small sterling silver spoons can be used for expresso or when using smaller coffee cups. They are sure to add an elegant touch your table.

The spoons are in very good vintage condition with a patina of age including some tarnish spots. Should you desire, a little polishing will bring these lovely spoons back to shining silver. I will leave that up to you, as some silver lovers prefer an aged patina.

Scarce 6-inch version of Replogle's simplified world globe, this interesting small desk globe has a gold-tone pressed tin full meridian with scale numbers on one side.

Dating from 1949 - 1950, the transfer painted steel globe is in good condition for its age. Most likely used as a student globe, the surface shows soiling, and it has a few minor dings most notably near Korea and the Hebrides.

A Great Britain entry in the European Recovery Program (ERP) Marshall Plan's Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest, this striking graphic suggests that cooperation is the key to post-World War II economic development and prosperity.

The ERP or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism.

A panel of graphic artists selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era.

The poster is an original poster, not a reproduction. The poster is in very good vintage condition with just some wear at around the edges.

Poster has been stored flat and has never been rolled. It will ship to you flat.

Vintage choir angel Christmas decorations circa 1960 made in Italy, use these beauties as tree ornaments, in a manger display, or as part of a table centerpiece. Three angels are playing instruments, a violin, lyre, and cymbals. The fourth angel sings from a song scroll.

Molded from a high-quality hard plastic resin, these angels are In excellent vintage condition. Each angel base is marked "Italy" and has a small loop in the back above the wings for a hang cord.

Each angel is approximately 3" tall. They range from 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" in width.

Packed with illustrations, as well as a few advertisements, this 1956 edition of the Locomotive Cyclopedia would make an awesome gift for the train lover or railroad enthusiast.

The book is in good condition showing expected age-related wear including wear on the cover edges and spine and aging paper. The only major issue to note is that the title page has detached from the binding, but it is present. Binding is tight.

These vintage metal Brutalist sculptures are so cool. They look great grouped together and will liven up even the most minimalist and modern decor. Forged out of what appears to be wrought iron, the shadow men have a primitive look and spear-like hands.


The modern art sculptures are in very good condition. The figures are unsigned.

Metal figures stand approximately 10 3/4 inches tall. One statue is a tad shorter than the other. The shadow bases extend approximately 6 1/2 inches.

Double deck set of Fred Harvey Indians of the Southwest playing cards has bold and beautiful graphics. The vintage playing card decks come in their original slip-case box.

Each deck has 52 cards. There are no jokers. The gold deck has gold gilt edges, and the silver deck has silver edges. The aces of spades in both decks are marked "The U.S. Playing Card Co, Cincinnati, U.S.A. P 1615."

The cards are in very good vintage condition. There is evidence of light wear but no creases or tears. The cards are crisp. The box shows shelf wear and is missing it's label. I believe the label would have identified this set as Congress Cell-u-Tone Finish playing cards.

Box measures 5 1/6 inches x 3 3/4 inches x 1 inch. Cards measure 3 1/2 inches x 2 3/8 inches.
