Adorable vintage copper vase in the shape of an ancient amphora, use this tiny vessel to display some pretty little posies. My imagination sees the miniature vase filled with violets.

Not exactly sure of the dating or provence of this small amphora. Bought at an estate sale, the story was that it was a tourist souvenir brought home sometime in the 1960s from Italy or Greece.

Condition: Vase is in good condition. The copper has a nice patina. There is a tiny spot of verdigris near one of the handles.

Measurements: 1 1/2" tall x 2 3/4' wide including handles.

Beautiful green on green rayon cotton blend gimp trim will lend the perfect touch to your vintage - inspired sewing projects. The sewing trim has a braided looped edge & is suitable for draperies, pillows & lampshades. Would look great on display in a sewing or art & crafts room.

The trim is on its original spool which is marked "Rayon Cotton." The color is marked "Gooseberry." According to the label there are 36 yards on the spool. The spool is almost full. I measured a generous 32 yards of trim.

This high-quality vintage Bavaria china zodiac sign plate would make a very special gift for the December or January born Capricorn in your life. Made by Schumann Arzberg, a Bavarian china company with roots dating back to 1876, the back stamp hallmark dates the manufacture of this dish from between 1960 - 1970.

Capricorn is the 10th sign of the zodiac. People born under this astrology sign are said to be hard working, practical, organized and patient.

Plate measures 6 5/8" in diameter.

Plate is in very good condition. There are a few golden brown spots on the back which may be from the manufacturing process. The plate has no chips, no cracks, & no crazing.

Vintage molded plastic angel holy water font has great detail and charm. A classic angel holds a sea shell-styled font decorated with the scared heart symbol on the front and a cross & flower motif inside. There is a marker mark on the back and a "# 19."

The piece has a lovely delicate look and feel. Hang it on a wall by itself or grouped with other vintage religious items.

This font has been used and has a nice patina of age. The gold paint on the cross is worn away from use.

How could you not think "Happy Thoughts" looking at this sweet antique postcard? Cats & kittens are a perennially favorite motif, as appealing today as they were in 1910. Add these cool 100-year old cats to your collection.

The postcard was the Twitter of it's time. A revolutionary idea that cropped up in several world locations in the mid-1800s, the concept of the postcard bears a remarkable similarity to our contemporary Twitter. Emanuel Herrmann, considered the person who championed the use of what was to become a popular method of communication, proposed his postcard idea to the Austrian postal service in 1869 through an article in the Neue Freie Presse, the leading Austrian newspaper (remember those?). These small plain cards without pictures or adornments were to have a 20-word limit including address and the sender's signature.

In 1861, U.S.A. postal service began allowing the posting of cards weighing an ounce or less for the cost of 1 cent within a 1000 mile delivery zone.

Postmarked on January 3, 1910 at 7 p.m. in Albion, Maine, this postcard was sent to Miss Eva Copeland from Ellen who wrote a note in pencil. The card is in very good vintage condition. One corner is peeling up slightly.

First edition of E. Stanley Jones's Christian inspirational classic Abundant Living, this ex-library copy has an inscription to its former owner, Blanche. Although the dust jacket is chipped along the edges and the bottom of the spine is bumped, it doesn't appear as though the members of the Jacob A. Cole Circulating Library of Park Methodist Church or Blanche spent much time reading this book. The pages are clean and crisp and the binding is tight.

Confidant to Franklin D. Roosevelt, creator of the Christian Ashram movement, respected by Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, E. Stanley Jones was truly an amazing person. A deeply devout Christian, yet open to the broader world of other faiths and ideas, Jones was a Methodist minister and missionary who spent decades in India.

Before the days of email, texts, Skype, and other digital forms of communication, if you wanted to get in touch with someone who was overseas, you had to write a letter. You would use light-weight paper, or onion skin paper. You would post your letter in a special air mail envelope.

This group of vintage airmail stationery includes:

One (1) Eaton's Highland Air Mail Tablet - 27 sheets of paper a one lined writing guide - 8" x 5 1/8"

The writing paper tablets have cool cover graphics. The collection would make great office decor or a cool retro photo prop.

The stationery is in good vintage condition showing typical signs of aging. The airmail envelopes have a red ink smudge on the front near the word "Mail" that look to be from the printing process. The tablet covers show wear including some marks, smudges and tears. The cover of the Sky Bound writing tablet has a tear at the bottom and at the top. The pages of the Eaton paper tablet have separated from the binding, but are remain glued together at the top.

This wonderful tartan comes with a curious label from "Oz Maren Wizardry of Oz." I couldn't find any information about this textile company, but the tag indicates their business address was 180 Madison Avenue in New York City. Maren is the last name of one of the Wizard of Oz Lollipop Guild Munchkins from the 1939 film. Could there possibly be a link?

From the estate sale of woman who did a lot of sewing back in the late 1950s to early 1970s, this wonderful fabric is in "as new" vintage condition.

Fabric is over 10' (feet) long. It is 57" wide.

Tartan wrap kilt skirt circa 1970s--what else is there to say, but wow. High-quality fabric, expert tailoring detail, pleats and a bit of fringe on the wrap edge, stunning and stylish, in a very Scottish way.

There are no tag or labels. It's very possible this is a home-tailored skirt. Fabric feels like high-quality Scottish wool. In very good vintage condition with only one very small hole. There is one small stitch connecting the front wrap section to the back--see photograph 3. Two black buttons secure the wrap skirt.

A member of the N.J. State Building and Construction Trades Council attended the labor union's 71st annual convention at the Shelburne Hotel in Atlantic City in 1975 and brought home his delegate badge, stashed it in a drawer and forgot about it.

This little bit of history is an interesting relic from a time when labor unions were strong and Atlantic City was on the verge of being transformed by the gambling boom. Times sure have changed.

The red ribbon badge is in good vintage condition. The metal name plate and metal disk have various marks of the Bastian Brothers Co, Rochester, N.Y. The ribbon is printed in gold with the convention information including the dates of the event and the location. The metal disk has a red, gold and white inset panel with the council's name and a world globe with two handshaking and the latin phrase "Labor Omnia Vincit," a phrase from Virgil's Georgics meaning "Labor Conquers All."

Badge measures approximately 4 1/4" long x 2" at its widest point.

Don't think I could have explained the contents of this work as well as the title pages of this marvelous two-volume antique leather bound edition of this historically significant military and civil study of the late 1700s and early 1800s Europe and United States.

Thoroughly readable, these fully-illustrated antique history books would also look fabulous as props or in your home or office library.

The books are in the general condition you would expect from leather-bound volumes from the mid-1800s. The leather is worn at the edges, with some scuffs and scrapes, the corners are bumped. There is foxing on the pages throughout the books. Volume II has staining on the cover and on the lower right-hand side through approximately the first third of the book and then again on pages towards the back of the book. Heavily illustrated, each engraving is protected with a tissue-sheet cover. There are portrait engravings of many of the major military & political figures of the time including Napoleon Bonaparte, his wife, Josephine, group portraits of British Admirals, Alexander I, to mention just a few. Each volume has hand-marbled endpapers and marbled edges. Bindings are tight. Previous owner signed his name twice in pencil in the front of volume two.

The set was published in Philadelphia in 1849 by Thomas Davis. Volume I has 602 pages. Volume II has 599 pages.

Vintage Sicilian folk art cart made out of wood & paper, this amazing Gidi's carriage comes in its original box and packaging. The cart is encased in a plastic display and mounted on a decorative cardboard base. A classic souvenir of Sicily, Italy, the colorful cart has intricate designs as well as several scenes depicting important events in Sicily's history involving Roger II, King of Sicily.


Carrettino Siciliano were once a common site throughout Sicily. Introduced to the island by the Greeks, the carts have a long history in Sicilian culture.

The horse appears to be made of some type of plastic or composite material. The cart has one figure that appears to be made of chalkware. To preserve the integrity of the original packaging, I have not opened the plastic display to examine the pieces.

The cart measures approximately 6" long x 3" high x 2" deep. Box measures 7" x 5 1/2" x 3 3/4".

Party Time For Boys and Girls vintage vinyl LP record harks back to the days when most children's birthday parts consisted of cake, ice cream, a round of Hokey Pokey and Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

A bit of baby boomer nostalgia, this recording of classic children's music from the 1950s captures all the party favorites.

The cover graphic is just so retro and awesome. Frame it and hang it on the wall. It would make a great gag birthday gift for a baby boomer.

This record album is more for show than for play. There is a scratch which may effect the albums full playability. The album sleeve has separated along the bottom, but is otherwise in good shape.

The album sleeve includes instructions for playing the Hokey Pokey, Counting Song, Here We Go Looby-Loo, I'm a Little Tea-Pot and the Bunny Hop. The sleeve also has extensive "technical data" describing the recording process, frequency ranges and how to play the record.

No. 15 in the popular Stratemeyer Syndicate's The Happy Hollisters series (1953 -1970), The Mystery of the Totem Face takes the family to Alaska. Intrigue, mayhem, and fun ensue.

Written by Andrew E. Svenson under the pseudonym Jerry West, Svenson also wrote for the Hardy Boys and Bobbsey Twins series. What makes The Happy Hollister series unique is that Svenson based the characters on his own children and family life.

The book is charmingly illustrated by Helen S. Hamilton with a family camping scene on the end papers and blue drawings throughout depicting the family's exciting adventures.

Publisher: Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, N.Y. Part of the Doubleday Young Readers Series.

Book is in good condition. It's obvious that it has been read several times or more. The dust jacket is chipped and creased and there is a worn spot on the cover perhaps were a price sticker was peeled away. The book has a lovely red cloth binding with an illustration of the the 5 Hollister children running hand-in-hand. There are two small puncture holes the size of pencil points on the spine.
