Two flapper bathing beauties captured in sepia photograph postcards are evocative of an era when women didn't have to be emaciated to be considered beautiful. These women are gorgeous, partly because they have a few extra pounds on them by today's standard.

These are studio photographs. The women are wearing fashionable 1920s bathing suits. One woman wears a cap with small pompoms. The other woman wears a large scarf tied into a bow by her right ear.

One card is marked "660 E R Paris" the signature of Escarra of Rhone, a photography studio know for their "boudoir" cards. The other card is marked "Super 890." The cards are unused and in good vintage condition showing typical wear. The "E R" card has a very small blue dot to the left of the beauty. The corners are not all crisp. Each card is back stamped "Made in France" with several line guides for addresses.

Cards measure 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" each.

Cards will be sent to you in a KrystalSeal archival quality polypropylene protective sleeve.

This old brass tray has lovely hand wrought detailing and an Art Nouveau style. The vintage brass tray can be used as a serving dish, trinket tray, or a catch-all tray on your dresser. I believe it was originally intended as a pen tray.

The brass tray is old and it shows the passing of time. It has scratches and dings and a lovely antique patina.

Vintage Gallagher's lunch menu gives an interesting view into the culinary history of an old-fashion New York City steakhouse.

Originally open in 1926 as a speakeasy by Ziegfeld girl Helen Gallagher, the icon New York City steakhouse was a mainstay restaurant in the Theater District for 87 years. Closed in 2013, the restaurant recently reopened with a spruced up interior.

Word has it the new owners maintained the horseshoe-shaped bar and windowed meat locker as well as 100s of framed photographs of celebrities and sports figures. The graphic design of this vintage lunch menu showcases some of the legendary photographs. I believe this menu is from the 1970s, but it may be older.

The menu is in good condition with wear at the corners and around the edges, but no paper loss. There are a few spots on the front and on the back. Please take a good look at the photographs. The menu will come to you encased in an acid-free archival sleeve.

The menu measures 14" x 9 3/4."

This is a rare set of vintage bookends from the famous German pen maker Soennecken.

Frederick Soennecken founded his office equipment company in 1875 manufacturing pen nibs for his newly invented round writing style of calligraphy. He also invented hole punch and ring binder.

These metal bookends are painted with black enamel and have a lovely Art Deco gold gilt stencil design.

The bookends are old and show wear. The enamel is worn away entirely in some areas, there are scratches and some rust.

Bookends are marked "Soennecken 9."

The large faceted smokey quartz stone in this vintage sterling silver ring really pops in its ornate setting. Smokey quartz, is well, smokey and has a wonderful gray-brown color. This sterling silver ring has been coated or plated with gold (not sure if it actually qualifies as vermeil), but it gives the ring a very rich look.

Ring is in good vintage condition showing some wear to the gold on the shank and very minor scuffing on the stone visible through a jeweler's loop.

Ring comes in a green velvet lined vintage ring gift box.

Size 9 - 9.5

Stone measures approximately 2 .1 cm x 1.7 cm

Stamped "925" inside shank. It also has a makers mark next to the 925 but I can't decipher it.

This lovely little porcelain Limoges dish can be used as a trinket tray or hung in a grouping with other antique plates. Marked "Oscar Gutherz Limoges" and "Pat. Aug. 21. 83" (that's as in 1883), the dish has an unusual triangular shape and a beautiful hand painted floral design. You can see the brush strokes.

The dish is in very good condition. No cracks. No chips. No crazing. There is some gold paint loss around the rim.

Measures approximately 4 1/2" long x 3 1/8" wide.

Beautiful high-quality vintage Jay Yang fabric has an Asian inspired silk screened flower design in shades of brown, gold & rust. The textile remnant is almost 4 yards long and suitable for a variety of sewing and craft projects.

The fabric content is not marked but is feels like cotton. The piece was unevenly cut along the selvedge on one side but the "Jay Yang" label is present.

Lovely ceramic trinket box with an "Occupied Japan" stamp was originally intended as a cigarette box. The decorative white porcelain box has a gold floral design. The piece can be used as a dresser box for jewelry, coins, or what nots.

The box is bottom marked with the Tashiro Shoten Ltd elephant hallmark. Based in Yokohama, Tashiro Shoten operated before World War II and closed in 1954.

The ceramic box is in good vintage condition. No cracks. No chips. There is wear on the gold paint gilding particularly along the edges.

Box measures approximately 5 1/2 x 5" x 2 1/2 with the lid on.

Rare Bird!

This Lenci duck figurine is truly a rare find. Lenci, founded in 1919 by Elena (Helen) Konig and Enrico Scavini, and centered in Torino, Italy, began as a manufacturer of fanciful felt dolls. In 1928, the factory began producing high-quality porcelain ceramic figurines. After surviving through WW II (and a direct bomb hit on the factory!), Lenci closed its doors in 1964.

This small yellow duckling figurine is in very good vintage condition. The bottom of the piece has some rough spots and a flea bite around the firing hole. The piece is hand-signed "Lenci Italy" along with a circular symbol on the bottom. The bird also has a round paper Lenci seal.

I bought two wood-handled horse hair brushes at an estate sale recently and have discovered that a horsehair brush is the ideal tool to dust off a laptop computer. As I only need one brush, I am offering the other for sale.

The brush was once owned by a professional draftsman. The horse hair is in excellent and clean condition. The wood handle shows wear and has dings and scratches typical for a used tool. The handle is marked "Sterilized Hair Made in U.S. A.," & has a hole in it for a rope, making it easy to hang the brush near your desk for easy access.

Wood handle is approximately 14 1/4" long x 1" at its widest point. Horse hair brush area is approximately 9" long x 1 3/4" at this widest point.

Cool assortment of vintage doctor's tools, this old medical equipment is too rusty to use, but it would make a great display or prop.

The assortment includes an old reflex hammer (marked OPD), tweezers (marked +ASM42MV), a scissor-like gadget (marked +ASM42SL), a sharp pick-like thing (marked +ASM44SZ), and a clipper (marked Schubiger).

These tools are not in good condition and show varying degrees of use and rust. I have not cleaned or polished them. They come straight from an old doctor's bag circa 1950s - 1960s.

Listing includes seven (7) tools.

The largest tool of the bunch is the reflex hammer which measures about 7 3/4" long.

Vintage flocked bunny rabbit figurines are perfect for an Easter display or incredibly cute year-round decor.

The rabbits are in very good vintage condition. The large bunny is actually a bank, but it is missing its bottom plug. The miniature bunny is a Josef Originals, and has its original foil label. The larger rabbit has a "Made in Japan" sticker. Both bunnies are from the 1960s.

Vintage Fred Sweney "Fins & Feathers" double playing card set in its original plastic case -- this is indeed a rare find.

Printed by Brown & Bigelow, an advertising speciality company founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1896, this double set of playing cards with bird and fish designs comes in a red plastic case with clear plastic cover with "Ell-Bee Chemical Co." printed in gold letters. The set includes a folded notecard with a deer in the woods illustration and a brief description of Sweney & his art.

Known for his detailed and accurate wildlife art, Fred Sweney's illustrations appeared in Field & Stream, National Geographic, among other publications. A graduate of the Cleveland School of Art, he taught illustration for over 25 years at the Ringling School of Art & Design.

The plastic case is in very good condition. It is marked "Remembrance Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn. U.S.A." The card decks are sealed in their original cellophane packages with tax stamps intact. There are several tears in the cellophane. Notecard is in very good condition.

Case measures 5" x 4 1/8" x 1 1/8"; Playing Card Decks measure 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 5/8".

The mirrors on this antique Victorian tri fold mirror are set into beautiful brass frames. The folding mirror has a heavy brass chain for hanging and sturdy brass legs that allow the travel vanity mirror to stand on its own.

The front of the triple mirror has a canvas-like heavy paper board with a picture of a sailboat which appears to be hand painted. The other two backing boards do not have designs.

The tri folding mirror is in very good condition for its age. The brass frames and hinges have some worn areas and patina. There are some marks and indentations on the backing boards. The mirrors have no cracks or chips, but do have some brown discoloration marks.

Each individual mirrors section measures approximately 8 3/4" x 6 1/4" not including the legs which add about an 1" in height.

Mirror measures 19 1/2" x 9 3/4" fully open.

Archer & swordmen warriors on horseback engaged in battle make for a dramatic scene on this vintage little black papier mache trinket box from India. The box is so colorful and pretty, it takes you a moment to realize there are several disembodied arms on the field.

This is a very old India Kashmir box. It is in very good condition for its age. There is a minor chip on the top along the edge which is barely noticeable (it is on the darker horse's back.) There is also some wear on the bottom of the box near the edge. This wear is on the box bottom and does not effect the design or show when the box is displayed.

Approximately 3" Diameter.
Marked "Made in India"

What makes this vintage globe extra special is that it is glass. It is not made out of pasteboard. The glass orb is coated with paper gores which are in very good condition for a 65+ year-old globe. There is some minor paper loss which is most noticeable when the globe is illuminated.

The globe has a metal base and a half meridian which have a nice patina of age. The silver coating along the edge of the meridian has worn away. There is pitting on the base

The globe also has a night and day time dial at the North Pole.

I tested the light and it works. The cord appears to be original to the globe. You may want to have the electrical cord replaced as it is vintage any may not be up to current electrical standards. Please make sure you use a very very low wattage bulb in your globe.

Put a little retro fun on your party table with these vintage Solo Cozy Cup holders in classic mid-century colors. Designed in the 1960s and popular through the 1970s, this set is in excellent vintage condition and comes with two boxes of cozy cup inserts.

21 Cups in the following colors:
10 Turquoise
4 Orange
3 Green
2 Harvest Gold
2 Blue

Solo Cozy Cup Dimensions: 2.25” high and 3”

Cup holders are in very good vintage condition. The two boxes of Cozy Cup inserts are open but they appear to have most, if not all, of their original contents. Boxes show wear but have great graphics and advertising.
